Chapter 6 Part 1

Unnatural forces

Gabriel's POV

***

I felt her before I saw her.

I felt her before she even entered the base.

She floated invasively into my senses. She's been floating in and out of my senses for the past year. And now that she was here in person, she was literally singing in my senses.

The voice i heard was like chocolate. White chocolate.

I hated chocolate of any kind. It was annoyingly sweet and that was how the new Guardian tasted like in my senses:

Sweet.

And annoying.

I frowned in irritation when I felt her push deeper when she lay her eyes on me. I was glad I had decided to face the window because now that she was here, I could finally barricade my mind from her invasion. But first:

"Gabriel. She's here." Ced felt the need to announce. He knew I knew she was here.

I deliberately turned around slowly to unnecessarily stretch the suspense.

My gaze immediately fell on her.

Our eyes met and held for a long moment then I let my gaze drop to take in the rest of her.

She was small like a little pixie. Except for those big eyes - big green breathtaking eyes. But it all made sense with her oval shaped face and pert features.

Her hair. She had it piled to one side forming a beautiful ginger cascade. And she had this kind of shine about her that was unexplainable.

I was mesmerized.

She was undoubtedly the most beautiful creature I had ever beheld.

She too had been studying me. But I couldn't tell what she thought of me because she clearly was trying to keep her eyes void of emotion. Not that I cared.

Our eyes linked again and this time they held for a longer time.

"Er hem." The young guy who was standing next to her cleared his throat.

I gave him an annoyed glance then turned to Cedric who kept a perfect smirk on his face.

"Gabriel, this is Santana." He pointed at her. "And Santana, Gabriel."

"Pleasure." I said with determined coldness.

"Like wise." She replied with equal coldness.

This was going to be interesting.
