(51): Whipped
Mr Rude & Me (Undergoing Editing)
Another one â¤ï¸. I've been embracing the idea of Kyle's POV's so expect a lot more of them in the future. Anyways. Enjoy, lovies.
***
Kyle's POV.
"Dude, will you stop fucking cheating" Nathan hollers as he pauses the game and gives me a stern look.
I laugh "What? You think I'm cheating just because I'm winning?"
"I know you're cheating" He clarifies.
Nathan and I are at my place and playing the latest Fifa on my PlayStation. I'm not really much of a gamer but he always forces me to play with him. He's been playing longer than me but I'm still better than him. He always thinks I'm cheating. It's the funniest shit.
I laugh again "Dude, how can you play PSG against my Barcelona and expect to win?"
"Fuck that, man" He scowls ending the game.
Sore loser.
"Don't hate the player, hate the game" I excuse jokingly, putting my hands up in surrender.
He suddenly starts to laugh "Guess what?"
"What?"
He laughs again "You're not a player anymore. Chels has you whipped, dude"
Wow.
"I meant a sports player, dumbass, not that one" I deadpan dryly "And I'm not whipped okay? I just like the girl"
"Whipped" He sing-songs snorting.
"I hope you know that I could still kick you out right now" I threaten annoyed.
Nathan just laughs "Stop being so defensive"
"I'm not"
"See?" He points out smirking "Defensive. Dude, we all know you like Chels so what's the problem?"
"It's none of your business" I say.
"You two kind of made it mine when you started telling me about your crushes on each other" He excuses slouching further on the beanbag.
We took Chelsea-Anne's from her room.
"When did she tell you?" I ask curiously.
"Dude, you know it's not cool that I tell you things she tells me but I don't tell her things you do" He deadpans.
I roll my eyes "Who cares, man?"
He thinks about it for a while "Okay fine. Something about you guys swimming at night in the dam. She told me the day after"
She's liked me since then? That was almost two months ago. I'm pretty sure I've liked her longer though. I still can't pinpoint exactly when, but I'm pretty sure that day my feelings for her escalated further and further. I stopped fighting them that day; I gave in.
"Oh" I murmur.
"So do you agree that it is my business? I was kind of like the middle man" He presses.
I wave him off "Why would she even tell you?"
I've always wondered. I mean she hated him just months ago and then suddenly they were so close. It was unsettling at first. I mean, I know nothing would ever happen between them but still.
"Cause I'm trustworthy" He says arrogantly and matter-of-factly "And I'm easy to talk to"
"Trustworthy my ass. Remember you ended up telling me that she liked me"
"Yeah cause you forced me to" He defends "Before that I had known for more than a month and didn't say anything"
Fair enough.
"So you were the only one who knew?"
He nods "Yeah. She only told the others on the trip"
So she told Nathan before Kathrine. Weird.
"I can't believe she's the 'uptight' girl you used to tell me about" I snort.
Nathan would always tell me about his girl's best friend who didn't like him. I've now come to know that best friend was Chelsea-Anne. I wouldn't really listen when he would tell me about Kathrine back then, because I thought he was being a pussy. We both vowed to never date and he did it.
It was worse after I actually met Kathrine. I just didn't like her and I still don't. There's something about her. I always try to hold my tongue when she's around and annoying me, for Chelsea-Anne's sake. Well and for everyone else. I'm kind of stuck with her. She's all my close friend's friend. Not to mention she's the girl I like's best friend.
"Dude, she used to be so boring" Nathan laughs "She would say no to literally everything. She was so annoying"
She really was. I also thought she was uptight and boring at first, especially when she told me she was still a virgin. Not to mention she was fucking annoying as hell. She was the most infuriated little thing I had ever met. She would never listen, so fucking stubborn; drove me absolutely crazy.
"I think living with you did a thing or two to her" Nathan muses patting my shoulder.
"That's actually what she said too" I say.
"It definitely did." Nathan agrees "She had to grow a backbone living with your rude and hostile ass. Good for her"
I just roll my eyes "Whatever. Can we stop speaking about her now?"
"Is that what you really want?" He teases.
"Dude, you hang too much around Nicholas" I say dryly.
Nathan used to be nonchalant and hostile like me. Now he gets excited over little shit and jokes around, just like Nicholas. Sometimes it annoys the shit out of me, especially when they're together. It's like they go out of their way to drive me insane.
It's nauseating.
"I won't pass out any opportunity to tease you about a girl" He says amused "It's finally my turn. Remember you used to call me a pussy"
"Whatever" I huff.
"Say you take it back" He demands.
"Dude that was freaking months ago, okay? Get over it" I defend.
Nathan shakes his head "I'll let it slide because I'm happy for you, man. You finally have a heart and you found a good girl"
This sappiness is making me uncomfortable.
"Okay, shut up" I squirm.
He barks a laugh "I really never though I'd live to see this day"
Luckily before he can further make me more uncomfortable, the door swings open to reveal an exhausted looking Chelsea-Anne. My face beams immediately. She's been gone literally the whole day. I'm pretty sure she left around 9am and now it's almost 7pm. I guess she's enjoying her final days until classes resume.
I can't believe how much I missed her.
"Who said you guys can use my beanbags?" She demands as she collapses on the couch behind us.
"Hi to you too" Nathan snorts.
She scowls "Answer the question"
"We were playing PlayStation and we wanted to be comfortable" Nathan excuses.
She doesn't look happy but shoots her blue eyes to me "Chambers? What about you? What's your excuse?"
Although she's kind of mad, her eyes still soften when they look at me. I love that.
"What he said" I reply amused.
She just shakes her head "Fine"
"Where have you been?" Nathan asks.
"First I went to Kathrine's, then I went shopping-ish then I met this girl and we just chilled"
"What girl?" I enquire curiously.
I hope it wasn't one I've done something with. I'm pretty sure she wouldn't like that. I also don't like that. I can't believe how much time I've wasted just sleeping around. I can't help but feel stupid about it now.
"You probably don't know her" She says "Anyways what were you guys doing?"
"I was being cheated by Kyle"
I laugh loudly "I really wasn't cheating. He's just a sore loser"
"I'm with Kyle" Chelsea-Anne smirks.
I laugh. She must be doing it to infuriate him.
Nathan groans loudly "Of course you are, you know what? You two are so annoying together. It's a match made in heaven"
"Aww thanks" She coos annoyingly.
I like that she actually thinks we're a match. We definitely are... right? I know I haven't asked her out or anything but I want us to take things slow. Something I've never done but I want to with her.
Nathan just huffs before turning to me "So, how does it feel living with the girl you like?"
"What?" I furrow my eyebrows confused "We lived together before I did so what's the difference?"
"The difference is that you like her now"
I've always liked her.
"There is no difference" Chelsea-Anne says.
Nathan raises a brow "Really? So... you guys don't sleep together or anything?"
"Once" Chelsea-Anne blurts before flushing.
She's so cute.
"Mmm interesting" Nathan laughs looking at both of us "But I bet you guys want to do it over and over again?"
"Okay, dude, who made you our relationship therapist?" I snap annoyed.
"Relationship?" He smirks.
I notice Chelsea-Anne's cheeks red with blush. I basically just implied that we're in a relationship. That was kind of embarrassing.
I grumble "You know what I mean"
"Okay fine, I'll stop grilling you guys" Nathan smirks putting his hands up in surrender.
We are enveloped in a comfortable silence.
"Uhm, Nathan..." Chelsea-Anne's voice slowly starts off as we both look back to her. She's biting her lip and is fiddling with her fingers, signaling that she's nervous about something.
"Yeah" He replies curiously.
I'm also quite curious.
"We haven't had one-on-one time since you told me about your dad" She says softly "I just wanted to make sure that you're okay"
She's too sweet.
Nathan nods, a soft and appreciative smile playing on his lips "Of course, Chels. It means a lot that you care"
"You are my best friend's boyfriend" She jokes slightly causing Nathan to laugh "And you're the guy I like's close friend"
I can't help but smile too. I love it when she admits to liking me.
"Yep, which leaves you no choice but to care, huh?" Nathan plays along amused.
She nods "Yeah. I'm glad you're good"
"Thanks, little player" He smiles.
"You can stop calling me that now" She narrows her eyes at him as she laughs.
"Yeah, dude" I agree causing her to smile.
That little smile is my weakness.
Nathan snorts "Yeah, no chance. Just because she likes you doesn't mean she won't break your heart"
"I won't" She defends pouting.
Good.
"We'll see" Nathan waves us both off before getting up "Anyways I seriously have to go. I've been here the whole day"
"Yeah go" I joke "Your girlfriend probably misses you or something"
He narrows his eyes at me "Don't start"
"Bye, Nathan" Chelsea-Anne waves.
"Bye y'all" He waves back as he grabs the doorknob and exits.
I was too busy looking at the door to notice that Chelsea-Anne is looking at me and smiling like an idiot, almost as if she's admiring me.
"What?" I ask confused.
She shakes her head "Nothing"
Her smile is so contagious that I find myself also smiling "You're so weird"
She just rolls her eyes at me. I feel way too far from her so I get off the beanbag and make my way to sit right next to her on the couch. She just looks at me still with that smile.
"So..." I start off.
She raises a brow "Yes?"
"Can I sleep with you tonight?" I ask sheepishly. Since when am I nervous around girls? This girl is changing me.
She grins shyly "Really?"
"Yes"
"Mmh, fine, I'll see what I can do" She replies coyly causing me to laugh out loud.
"Sure, okay" I play along.
I know she wants me to. She's just trying to play hard to get. It's cute.
I absentmindedly grab her soft hand as I intertwine it safely with mine. Her hands are so warm and they fit perfectly with mine. She blushes immediately but tighten her hold.
"I have something to tell you" I say.
"What?"
I laugh softly "I kind of missed you when you were gone the whole day. Is that weird?"
What's happening to me?!
She gives me the biggest grin I have ever seen on her and her eyes are so bright, as she covers her flushed face with her free hand "Stop! You're always making me blush"
"I like it"
She removes her hand "I missed you too"
"You did?" I grin happily without even noticing.
She nods "Yeah"
I bring her hand to my lips as I lay a soft kiss on the back causing her to smile "Good"
What I would do to be kissing those pink lips instead. But I know I have to wait. I want our first kiss to be special. I really don't know when I started getting this sappy but I can't seem to mind much.
"I spoke to my mom. She doesn't want me to get a car" She tells me, a small frown on her face.
"Why not?"
"Something about me being a child"
I laugh softly causing her to narrow her eyes deadly at me "Jeez sorry. Anyways I'm starting to think your mom is way more strict that you let on"
"Ya think?"
"Has she always been like that?"
Chelsea-Anne nods "Yeah. I never got much done in high school because she was always there. Like I'd have to sneak out to go on dates or parties. It was way too much effort so I just ended up not doing them"
Wow.
"Damn" I breathe "I knew there was a reason you were so..."
I can't seem to find the right word.
She raises a brow "So what?"
"I don't know. I could just see from the start that you hadn't lived much" I tell her.
"Mm, so I was boring?" She accuses amused.
I'm glad she's not taking it the wrong way. The last thing I'd want to do is upset her. I know, I know. I used to do it like a hobby at first, but now I really don't want to anymore.
"Maybe" I snort.
She just rolls her eyes as she laughs "Fair enough though"
"You should stop rolling your eyes at me. I don't like it" I scold as I squeeze her hand tightly causing her to yelp.
"Ouch!" She tries to remove her hand from mine but I don't let her "Listen here, I will roll my eyes all I want okay? Plus at this point, I really don't control it anymore"
I've noticed.
"Still" I say sternly.
She's about to roll them but holds herself back and I smile "Okay... I'll try"
"Good"
She shakes her head "Gosh, I can't believe I'm stuck with you"
Lucky, aren't I?
"You like it" I wink arrogantly.
She sighs one more time "Okay, anyways, I think we should watch a movie or something. Or... we could start a new series. I finished Riverdale"
"Why am not surprised you like that show?"
"Cause it's the best show on the earth" She defends exasperated.
I hum "Doubt it"
She gapes offended "Okay... so that's what we're going to do. You're watching the first season of Riverdale right now"
"I really don't want to" I protest.
"It's not up to you" She shuts me off as she grabs the remote and scrolls through Netflix before locating the show.
"Chelsea-Anne" I whine.
She shoots me a look "Hush, Chambers, trust me. You'll love it"
"Fine" I sigh defeated.
She gets up suddenly "Wait here, I'll be back in a few"
I sigh before waiting for her. I really don't want to watch this Riverdale show. Everyone watches it and I don't want to be part of that everyone. But here I am... giving into Chelsea-Anne's demands.
She really is my weakness.
"I'm back" She announces as she takes her seat next to me and drapes the purple blanket she went to go fetch over the both of us.
It smells like her and I can't help but smile.
"Fine, let's get this over and done with" I sigh grabbing her warm hand again.
She grins, eyes bright "Yay!"
She takes the remote with her other hand and clicks on the first episode. It starts and she leans closer to me, her head against my shoulder and legs on my thigh. I wrap my arm around her waist as I look down at her happy and smiling face. She's so beautiful.
I am whipped.
***
"Did you like it?" She grins weakly because she's so tired as she gets under the covers of her bed looking at me.
I actually did.
"Maybe" I tease.
She gives me a look "You're lying, Chambers, I know you liked it"
We finished watching a few minutes ago and are currently getting ready for bed. I went to go change in my room also waiting for her to finish changing in hers before joining her. She's wearing a pair of cozy and pink pajamas. She looks cute in everything she puts on. She has her blonde hair in a messy ponytail but she still manages to look good.
I'm just dressed in my hoodie and shorts as I get into the bed next to her. I would get shirtless to make Chelsea-Anne flustered but it's winter and I don't want to freeze to death.
"Okay, fine, I did" I admit.
She lays her hands on my chest as she leans on them so she's looking up at me. I can see she looks so tired but still wants to speak. As always "Good. I knew you would"
"Okay" I say brushing hair out of her face as I also admire her in the process.
"What?" She asks confused.
I smile looking down "You're beautiful"
"Thank you" She smiles sheepishly "You're also beautiful"
"I know" I wink.
She's about to roll her eyes but remembers not to again. She's so cute. "You should try being humble"
"I'll see" I snort.
She yawns softly "Woah, I'm so tired"
She rolls to her side and lays her head on my chest as I wrap my arm around her body. I never knew how fun cuddling was, mostly because I've never tried it.
"Okay sleep" I murmur against her lime smelling hair.
"No" She muffles "Speak to me"
I laugh softly "About what?"
"Okay... Tell me something you've never told anyone"
Something I've never told anyone?
"I can't think of anything" I say after a while of attempting to "Chelsea-Anne, just sleep"
She moves her head so that she's looking at me again. Her lips are pouted demandingly and I can see that I'm not going to win "No, I won't sleep until you tell me"
She's impossible.
"Okay fine" I grumble defeated "Uh, I sleep with the light on?"
She laughs loudly "What?!"
It's true, I really do that.
"Don't judge me, okay? It's how I was raised. I learned from Zach" I excuse.
"Are you scared of the monsters, Kylie?"
I scowl at her as I block her nose so she can't breathe. She slaps my hand away laughing "No, I'm not scared of anything"
Except my feelings for you.
She gives me smile before laying on my chest again, her legs against mine. I pull her tiny body much closer to me as I massage her scalp. She's so damn warm "Okay"
"Okay" I murmur back.
"Do you want me to switch off the lamp or not?" She muffles.
"You can. I survived last time"
She switches it off and the room is dark "Thank goodness because I really can't sleep with any lights on"
"Okay" I say closing my eyes.
"Chambers?" She murmurs and I hum signaling that I'm listening "Promise me that things won't change when classes start"
Her voice sounds so tiny... vulnerable.
My eyes snap open in surprise at her request "Of course not"
"Promise me" She says sternly.
"I promise" I assure to make her feel better. I hear her sigh contently at my response "Why would they?"
"I don't know" She murmurs.
Chelsea-Anne, you think way too much. I thought I told her to stop doing that but apparently it's a habit of hers. A bad one.
I kiss her hair "Sleep now"
"Okay. Goodnight, Chambers" She muffles tiredly against my hoodie.
"Goodnight, Chelsea-Anne"
It's only a few minutes later when I start hearing soft snores from underneath me. She was really tired. I can't help but enjoy her warm body against mine.
I could really get used to this.
