chapter 18

On the other side

After Francesco, Adonis, Alessandro and Domenico left her in front of her classroom, Bella took a deep breath and softly knock on the door.

After hearing a faint 'come in', she entered inside and greeted the teacher politely "Good morning ma'am."

When the teacher saw her, she immediately recognized her as the daughter of the owners of school, she was shown the picture of Bella by the principal himself.

Bella was looking so cute in her dress and her polite tone told that even if she is a daughter of owners she isn't a spoiled kid but the one who knows how to respect teachers.

Teacher politely greeted her back and ushered her to a table where two boys and a girl were sitting.

Bella sat on the empty chair and greeted her table mates politely.

She said," hello, my name is Isabella Rose Ivy Valencia-Moretti. You can call me Bella." with a small wave.

Others replied back with a smile.

The girl introduced herself,"hey I'm Arianna"

Bella replied,"Hello Anna, can I call you Anna right?"

Anna replied,"sure, no one call me with that name. It will be my new name. We are besties now Bella." And clapped her hand excitedly.

Then next to her the boy sitting replied," I'm Armani, nice to meet you."

Bella replied,"nice to meet you too ,can I call you Mani?"

Armani grinned and said,"sure m'lady." with slight bow of his head to which Bella and Anna giggled at his antics.

Next to Mani was another boy was fidgeting with fingers.

"Hello my name is Zion. If you don't want to be my friends it's okay. I know many people don't like me." Zion rambled nervously.

Bella frowned at his words,"why I don't want to be your friends?"

"I have dark skin. Others don't talk with me because of my color except for these two -he pointed towards Anna and Mani They are my only friends and don't say  bad words to me." He replied with sadness.

Everyone felt bad listening to this specially Bella. She remembered Marcello's words from today morning and said to him.

"you know my big brother told me that we should make friends because of their inside beauty not because of their outside beauty. So never let anyone say bad words to you. Besides, that you are really pretty. Others are just jealous of you, that's why they say bad words. Don't take it to your heart. Now can I be your friend?" Bella tried to make her understand gently and also didn't let him feel bad about himself. She just felt the need to protect him like a sister.

Zion understand her words, also blushed slightly at her compliment and lastly giggled at her words. He was grateful to meet Bella, Anna and Mani because they did't judge him because of his color.

Zion replied with a radiant smile on his face which popped the dimple on his left cheek which made him look cute,"yes, I love to."

The other three awed at him and Bella asked him,"can I call you Zee (Z).?"

He responded positively.

After that, they all were engrossed in their activities.

Soon it was lunch time, Bella went to school canteen with her friends. They all sat on a table near the window except for Bella who was waiting for her brothers, so she can introduce them to her friends.

Suddenly the canteen door opened with thud Damon and Damien with their friends entered.

They both rushed to Bella and hugged her. They all had a group hug and Bella kissed their cheeks.

Bella introduced her new friends to Damon and Damien who were looking at the boys with narrowed eyes.

Zion and Armani gulped looking at them.

Damon and Damien did not like their sister being friends with boys, but still are happy for her as she has made new friends. They assessed the boys to know that they are not any threat to Bella.

They didn't get any Bad vibes from them but still being the protective brothers they decided to have a talk with them.

So they smiled sweetly at Bella and told her they are taking Zion and Armani to have a talk with them, in their words 'man to man talk'.

Bella who knew them very well, shake her head and warned them not to harm her newly made friends.

They reluctantly agreed as they know Bella is very sweet and kind but also they don't want to make her angry.

Because when she is angry with a person, she will not talk with him and give him silent treatment from which her whole family is afraid of.

When the boys went outside, Bella and Anna started talking about Disney princess but Bella was also animatedly telling her about marvels, perks of having older brothers who are obsessed with marvel heroes. So she knows about the marvels.

So she suggested Anna to watch them. To which Anna also agreed.

Outside the canteen

Damon and Damien have cornered the two boys and were looking at them with narrowed eyes.

Zion and Armani were scared inside but tried not to show them. Damon and Damien both were amused by their brave act but still maintained a strict facade. Yup, a facade because they meant no harm to them. They just wanted to know if they are threat or not, to Bella.

Being in the Mafia made them like this. They all are receiving self defence training even Bella too,after the attack on her in the park(refer ch 13).

So whenever there is a tough situation they don't get scared and try to protect themselves until their family is present there.

They don't know who are their well-wisher and who not. They can't trust others with blind eyes. People who look innocent can harm you more than the people who look scary. They knew about their sister's sweet nature so thought to take the matters in their hands.

Damon asked them like an adult,"what are your intentions towards our sister?"

"Sir, Bella is very sweet. She didn't said bad words to me like other because of my color, even made me feel good. She is like my sister which I never had "

Zion said with a small smile on his lips.

Zion has a younger brother but not any sister, but after meeting Bella he felt like he finally met his soul sister.

Damon and Damien's eyes softened for a moment but immediately covered it.

Armani replied with a grin," Bella is the best person. She even shared her cool crayons with me, when mine broke. She is my new best friend. I'm gonna protect from all the bad things." And puffed his chest.

Damon and Damien both nodded. They sensed the sincerity in their voices and know that they are innocent but still being the over protective brothers, Damien threatened them," I know you both are good guys, but still one tear from her eyes because of you and you have to face us."

To which Damon nodded at the words of his twins.

Zion and Armani both gulped and replied together,"Sir, yes sir."

They all went together inside.

When Bella saw them, she rushed towards them and  first looked at Zion and Armani for any signs of hurt. When she found nothing, she nodded at her brothers to which they sigh in relief as they don't want to be at the receiving end of her punishment.

They all went to their table and started having lunch. Bella shared her brownies made by her Grandma with her new friends. They all grinned seeing the brownies and thanked her.

After a peaceful lunch and some time playing in the ground. They all went to their classes.

After the last bell rang, Bella picked her bag, after saying bye to her friends and came outside only to see the twins waiting for her. She grinned at them and the trio went to the school ground together and were waiting for their family. Some guards who were present at the school premises went to them. The three of them politely greeted them to which the guards also bowed a little to show the respect and greeted them back.

The Moretti and Valencia family have taught their family to respect others as it is the only way to earn others respect. It cannot be earned through fear. It only goes both ways.

After some time, several cars arrived and Bella's brothers, father and uncles stepped outside. Her grandparents, mom and aunt were waiting for them at home so they didn't come.

Bella was happy to see them.

The trio ran towards their family. They quickly hug each and every member of their family to which their family reciprocated and kissed their forehead or temple.

After this they all went to the main Valencia-Moretti mansion where the remaining family were waiting for them, especially for Bella to tell them about her first day.

Her father, uncle and brothers  wanted to ask her about her day but she denied and said she will tell everyone at home at once.

So they know, they have to wait for it because their princess, now is not going to tell them anything no matter what they do. So they went towards their home.
