The next day at college, Aashna and Dhruvin sat in their usual spot in the canteen, waiting for the rest of their friends to arrive. As soon as Manan and Sia walked in, Aashna nudged Dhruvin under the table, giving him a knowing look. Dhruvin smirked, crossing his arms as he leaned back in his chair.
"So, Manan, Sia," Aashna began casually, stirring her cold coffee with the straw. "Had a good dinner last night?"
Sia immediately froze, her grip on her phone tightening. Manan, on the other hand, barely flinched. He grabbed a samosa from the tray and took a big bite. "Yeah, great food. Why?"
Dhruvin chuckled. "Oh, nothing much. Just that we happened to be near that area and saw something... interesting."
Sia's eyes widened in panic while Manan simply raised an eyebrow. "Oh? What did you see?" he asked, feigning innocence.
Aashna leaned forward, her expression playful yet accusing. "You. Kissing Sia's cheek."
At this, Sia buried her face in her hands while Manan simply shrugged. "So what? A gentleman shows affection."
Dhruvin and Aashna exchanged a look before bursting into laughter. "Affection? Since when did you become such a romantic, Thakker?" Dhruvin teased.
Just then, Advait, Raj, and Saumya joined them, looking at the scene in confusion. "What's going on?" Raj asked.
Aashna clapped her hands together dramatically. "Big news, everyone! Manan and Sia are dating!"
Saumya gasped, and Advait nearly choked on his coffee. "Wait, WHAT?"
Sia groaned. "We were going to tell you guys, okay?! We just... didn't know how."
Manan, still unfazed, draped an arm around Sia's shoulders. "And look, the world didn't end, did it?"
Dhruvin's teasing demeanor changed as he looked at Manan seriously. "Just one thing, bro. If you hurt her, you're answering to me."
Manan scoffed. "Please, you think I'd mess this up? I'd be an idiot to let her go."
Sia's cheeks burned red, and Aashna smirked. "Awww, look at him being all lovey-dovey."
The rest of the group erupted into laughter, and just like that, their teasing turned into lighthearted jokes and excitement about their unexpected new couple. Sia was still blushing, and Manan, despite his usual smug attitude, couldn't hide the small, genuine smile on his face.
Aashna glanced at Dhruvin, feeling warmth bloom in her chest. Love really did have a funny way of bringing people together.
