Besides, Commander Xie’s daughter seemed like a nice lady. She was pretty and had a good upbringing. Captain Li and her looked very well together. Why was Grandma Li picking on her? “What are you afraid of? If he doesn’t want to listen to me, I can always talk to his father. Yimei, I’ve known that you are a simple and kind girl ever since I first met you. Someone like you will be the best match for QIngcang.”

Ying Yimei blushed to hear Grandma Li praising her so much. “Grandma, you’re making me blush. How can I compare to Tianxin? My father’s not a commander like hers.”

If Ye Tianxin heard the conversation, she would have been enraged.

Grandma Li had forgotten what she said to Ye Tianxin earlier. Now she preferred Ying Yimei to her. She thought fondly of Ying Yimei. Everything about her was perfect, unlike Ye Tianxin. She did not like Ye Tianxin at all now. She was an eyesore to Grandma Li.

Grandma decided that she would break Li Qingcang and Ye Tianxin up, no matter what sort of underhanded means she had to resort to.

Grandma Li then decided to move into the Li residence. Three days later, she appeared at the gate of the Li residence. Wu Tong was stunned.

Why did her mother-in-law suddenly decide to stay with them? Did they not agree to live in separate houses earlier?

However, Grandma Li was still Wu Tong’s mother-in-law and Li Hang’s mother. She could not chase her out of the house. “Mom, you could have told us earlier that you’re coming. I could’ve asked Li Hang or the driver to pick you up.”

Grandma Li stood at the door and responded curtly to a smiling Wu Tong, “Can’t I stay at my son’s place for the new year?”

“Mom, what are you talking about? You sound like you’re not welcome here.”

Grandma Li sat on the couch and looked around the house.

“Li Hang is working very hard. You should take good care of him. You should knit a sweater for him or learn to cook dinner while he’s gone. Don’t just watch those stupid television programs.”

Wu Tong hesitated a little before answering back, “Li Hang doesn’t like knitted sweaters.”

Besides, Wu Tong did not know how to knit sweaters. She had never knitted sweaters when she was younger. Now that she was already middle-aged, she could not possibly learn how to knit.

However, not being able to knit a sweater for your husband did not mean she was not a good wife. After all, Wu Tong had put her career on hold for Li Hang.
