(Rudraksh)

(Aaj mood nahi tha kuch aaya nhi dimaag me, aap log comments me kuch achcha likh dena)

Rudraksh and Ruhanika arrived back home, and the joy radiating from Ruhanika's face brought a sense of peace to Rudraksh, and his lips curved into a gentle smile. As they entered the house, Ruhanika clung to his biceps, chatting animatedly and giggling, her cheerful tone filling the air and lightening his heart even further. As they stepped into the living room, they found the entire family gathered together, their conversations pausing as they turned toward the pair. Ruhanika’s eyes lit up with excitement, and with a joyful laugh, she released Rudraksh and darted toward the family.

Ruhanika: "Bhaiyuuuuuuu"

Ruhanika called out to Ashvik with excitement but suddenly stopped in her tracks when her eyes landed on an unfamiliar face seated among the family members. Her enthusiasm dimmed as uncertainty crept in. Her smile faltered, and a flicker of hesitation crossed her face. Rudraksh, who had been following close behind, stepped up beside her. Without a second thought, Ruhanika quickly clutched his arm, her grip firm, and tucked herself slightly behind him, seeking his protection. Rudraksh looked down at her, his smile warm and reassuring. He gently caressed her head.

Rudraksh: "Ruhh, relax ye Dadu hai."

(Ruhh, relax. This is grandfather)

Ruhanika’s curious eyes examined the man seated before her. He was an elderly gentleman, dressed impeccably in a brown suit, glasses perched on his nose, and a polished walking stick resting by his side. Summoning her courage, She took a slow step forward, with a respectful bow, she bent down and touched his feet in a traditional gesture of reverence. Afterward, she quickly retreated, her heart racing, and ran back to Rudraksh, hiding behind him once again for comfort. Karanjeet Khurana, Kartavya's grandfather, watched the young woman’s actions with a smile of amusement, his eyes twinkling as he observed her shy yet respectful manner. It was clear that Ruhanika had a deep respect for elders, and her quick retreat only added to the charm of her modesty.

Karanjeet: "Eh Kudi ne Kashmira nu dhamka ke bhagaya si, pakka na?"

(Is this the girl who scared Kashmira away? Are you sure?)

Rishwik: "Aaho ji Dadu, eh hi kudi si vo."

(Yes, Dadu, it was this girl.)

Ashvik: "Ruko dadu, hun tainu demo dikhaunde haan, bhai chalo!"

(Wait, Dadu. Let me give you a demo. Guys, let’s go!)

Rudraksh rolled his eyes, fully aware of the playful antics brewing in the room. He knew that the rest of the family had no intention of being serious; they were simply in the mood to tease and mess with their beloved Dadu, Karanjeet Khurana.

Kartavya: "Little sunshine, janti ho, ye Dadu hai, inhone hi Kashmira ko yaha bheja tha kal."

(Little sunshine, do you know this is Dadu? He’s the one who sent Kashmira here yesterday.)

Amandeep: "Aur Ruhi, ye toh bhai ke liye aur ladkiyo ki photos laaye hai."

(And Ruhi, he has brought photos of girls for Rudraksh.)

Ruhanika peered at Karanjeet, still hiding behind Rudraksh and clutching his hand, but her gaze was fixed on Dadu, glaring at him. Karanjeet, taken aback by the intensity of her stare, was left stunned.

Karanjeet: "Eh kudi mainu ghoor rahi hai, ya tusi log mere naal galat gal kar ditti isde baare ch?"

(This girl is staring at me. Or did you all tell her the wrong things about me?)

All giggled.

Savisha: "Yahi hai vo Dadu."

(This is the same person, Dadu.)

Kritika: "Theek hai na Dadu, tuhadi khwaish taan poori ho gayi na?"

(Alright, Dadu, your wish has been fulfilled, hasn’t it?)

Karanjeet glanced at Ruhanika with a mixture of surprise and amusement. He slowly stood up from the couch.

Karanjeet: "aye Kudiye, aitthe aa"

(Hey girl, come here.)

Ruhanika turned to look at Rudraksh, her brow furrowing in confusion. She couldn't quite understand what Karanjeet was saying.

Rudraksh: "Dadu apne pass bula rahe hai tumhe betu."

(Dadu is calling you, love.)

Ruhanika shook her head, unsure about what to do next, but Rudraksh, sensing her hesitation, gave her a reassuring glance. He silently gestured with his eyes, offering her the comfort and encouragement she needed. After a moment, she reluctantly agreed to his unspoken assurance. Taking a deep breath, Ruhanika slowly walked towards Karanjeet, her steps deliberate but cautious. Standing in front of him, she looked at hi,, still glaring at him, her expression a mix of defiance and confusion.

Karanjeet: "Tune bhagaya Kashmira nu? Jandi hai ki usnu main bhejeya si?"

(Did you chase Kashmira away? Do you know I sent her here?)

Savisha: "Dadu, Ruhi nu Punjabi samajh nahi aundi."

(Dadu, Ruhi doesn’t understand Punjabi.)

Karanjeet: "Ehni der naal shaadi kitti, te oh vi eh jehi kudi naal jinnu Punjabi nahi aundi!"

(You got married so late, and to a girl who doesn’t even understand Punjabi!)

Karanjeet spoke in a stern voice, glaring at Rudraksh with disapproval. Rudraksh, unfazed by his grandfather's intensity, rolled his eyes in a playful yet exasperated manner, his patience worn thin with his overdramatic dadu. Meanwhile, Ruhanika, feeling a bit protective of Rudraksh, marched toward him with a defiant pout on her face. She confidently held onto his biceps, standing beside him as she shot a glare at Karanjeet.

Ruhanika: "Aap humare Aksh ko daantiye mat, inki kya galti hai??"

(Please don’t scold my Aksh. What is his fault in all this?)

Karanjeet stood frozen, shocked by Ruhanika's defiant stance. He looked around at the others.

Karanjeet: "Khotyo, tussi keha si ke eh bachchi dar jandi hai, masoom hai, is karke isnu tang karna asaan hovega. Par yitthe lagda hai ke eh meri class laun waali hai!"

(Idiots, you said this girl is timid and innocent, so it would be easy to tease her. But here, it seems she’s about to take my class!)

Ashvik: "Haa toh kya Samjha hai aapne use, Ashvik Adhiraj Rajpurohit ki behen hai vo."

(What did you think of her, Dadu? She’s the sister of Ashvik Adhiraj Rajpurohit!)

Ashvik spoke with a tone of pride, his voice carrying a sense of accomplishment. Karanjeet’s gaze softened as he looked at him, a fond smile tugging at his lips. He understood Ashvik’s struggles all too well—how much he had suffered growing up without knowing his true identity and lacking a family to call his own. Although Karanjeet and the family had always treated him as one of their own, he could sense that what Ashvik truly longed for was the connection to someone who was truly his, someone who could fill that void in his heart. Kartavya and Savisha had shared everything with Karanjeet, revealing Ashvik and Ruhanika's blood relation. Karanjeet looked back at Ruhanika.

Karanjeet: "Aye ladki idr aana"

(Hey girl, come here.)

Ruhanika turned to look at Rudraksh, seeking his silent approval. He blinked at her, giving her a reassuring nod. With a deep breath, Ruhanika slowly walked towards Karanjeet, her gaze never leaving his.

Karanjeet: "Naam kya hai??"

(What’s your name?)

Ruhanika: "Mrs. Ruhanika Rudraksh Malhotra"

Rudraksh felt a wave of pride swell in his heart as he heard Ruhanika take his name alongside hers. In that moment, a deep sense of belonging washed over him, as if their names were woven together in a way that made them inseparable. He felt that she was his, and he was hers—bound together in a bond stronger than words could express. It was a feeling that made everything feel right in the world.

Karanjeet: "Kashmira ko kyu bhagaya??"

(Why did you chase Kashmira away?)

Ruhanika: "Vo bura bura keh rahi thi inke baare me."

(She was saying mean things about him.)

Karanjeet: "Kiske bare me??"

(About whom?)

Ruhanika: "Inke bare me"

(About him.)

Karanjeet: "Inke kinke??"

(Him who?)

Ruhanika: "Offo, Areeh Aksh ke bare me."

(Oh, about Aksh.)

The family tried their best to suppress their laughter, their eyes twinkling with amusement. They could all see that Dadu was simply teasing Ruhanika, enjoying the playful banter. It was clear to them that he was just trying to rile her up.

Karanjeet: "Janti ho us ladki ko maine chuna tha mere Rudraksh ke liye"

(Do you know I chose that girl for my Rudraksh?)

Ruhanika: "par ab unka Vivah humse ho gaya hai, aur hum bahaut Prem karte hai inse, aur ye humse, toh aap inke liye ladki kyu bhej rahe the"

(But now we are married, and we love each other a lot. So why were you sending girls for him?)

Karanjeet suppressed a smile, his eyes twinkling with amusement. He could see how innocent and naïve Ruhanika was, which made his teasing even more fun. Despite his stern façade, he was thoroughly enjoying the playful banter with the little girl.

Karanjeet: "itni possessive kyu ho ladki Rudraksh ke liye??"

(Why are you so possessive about Rudraksh?)

Ruhanika frowned, her lips puckering into an exaggerated pout as her annoyance grew. She crossed her arms, clearly irritated by the teasing, but the cute expression on her face only made the situation even more endearing to everyone around her. Despite her frustration, it was obvious that she was trying her best to keep her composure.

Ruhanika: "Areehh toh ab humare Aksh ek hi toh hai humare pass, 10-15 thodi hai... Hum thoda toh inhe lekar savdhaan aur satark rahenge na."

(Oh come on! I only have one Rudraksh; it’s not like I have 10-15 of them! Of course, I’ll be cautious and protective about him.)

Karanjeet: "Khotya, ladki toh bahut hi changi leke aaya tu!"

(Idiot! You’ve brought home a gem of a girl, Rudraksh!)

Rudraksh: "Janta haan main, dadu. Par hun tussi meri Ruhh nu tang karna chaddo, changa?"

(I know, Dadu. But now stop troubling my Ruhh, okay?)

Rudraksh approached Ruhanika and gently placed his hand on her shoulder. She looked up at him, her expression softening as she met his gaze.

Ruhanika: "Suniye, ye aapke dadu kya keh rahe hai hum samjhe nahi, kya ye abhi bhi aapko daant rahe hai??"

(Listen, what is your Dadu saying? I didn’t understand. Is he still scolding you?)

The others couldn't help but chuckle at Ruhanika's words, "Your Dadu". They all were amused by her innocent way of referring to Karanjeet.

Rishwik: "Haa Angel, ye abhi bhi bhai ko daant rahe hai, keh rahi hai bhai se thik se koi kaam nahi hota."

(Yes, Angel. He’s still scolding Rudraksh, saying he doesn’t do anything right.)

Ruhanika shot Karanjeet another glare. aranjeet, on the other hand, couldn’t help but smile at her feisty spirit.

Ruhanika: "Inke Dadu aap inhe mat daantiye, aap gussa hai toh hum maafi mangte hai par inhe kuch mat kahiye."

(His Dadu, please don’t scold him. If you’re upset, scold me instead, but don’t say anything to him.)

Rudraksh gazed at Ruhanika with an overwhelming tenderness in his eyes, the depth of his love for her clear to anyone who saw it. Karanjeet, observing the exchange, couldn’t help but feel a sense of calm wash over him. For the first time, he saw what he had always hoped to see in Rudraksh’s eyes—a love so pure, so profound, for someone else. It was a moment of quiet fulfillment for him, knowing that his grandson had found someone who meant so much to him. Karanjeet took a slow step forward, his heart swelling with affection for both of them. He raised his hand gently towards Ruhanika, but the moment he did, she instinctively lowered her eyes, her face subtly tightening as she shut her eyes. The gesture spoke volumes of the fear still lingering within her, a fear that none of them had the heart to address fully in that moment.

Rudraksh, Karanjeet, and everyone around them felt a pang of sorrow at seeing Ruhanika’s hesitance, the remnants of past hurts still holding her back. It was a painful sight, but they all understood that now, in this space, was not the time to push her boundaries. Karanjeet, with a warm, understanding smile, placed his hand gently on Ruhanika’s head.

Karanjeet: "Changa puttar, chinta na kar. Tere Rudraksh nu kuch nahi kahunga, isne taan kamaal kar ditta hai tere naal vyah karke!"

(Alright, dear. Don’t worry. I won’t say anything to your Rudraksh. He has done a wonderful job marrying you!)

Ruhanika lifted and tilted her head slightly, her brows furrowed in confusion as she looked up at Rudraksh. The uncertainty in her eyes was clear, as she tried to make sense of Karanjeet's words.

Ruhanika: "inke dadu hum kuch samjhe nahi."

(His Dadu, I didn’t understand what he said.)

Karanjeet chuckled softly, a playful glint in his eyes, and gently tapped Ruhanika’s cheek with his hand. The light, teasing gesture caught her off guard, and her confusion deepened.

Karanjeet: "Thappad padega agar inke dadu bola toh, tera Dadu nahi hu kya main beta??"

(You’ll get slapped if you call me his Dadu! Am I not your Dadu too, dear?)

Ruhanika felt a sense of ease wash over her, her tension melting away as she turned to look at Rudraksh, seeking his confirmation. Rudraksh flashed a reassuring smile, blinking his eyes in understanding. With his silent approval, Ruhanika's expression softened, and she turned back to Karanjeet, a bright smile spreading across her face, her dimples accentuating the warmth of her gesture.

Karanjeet: "Arehh kitni pyaari muskan hai meri bachchi ki"

(Oh, what a lovely smile my daughter has!)

Ruhanika: "kya hum bhi aapko Dadu bula sakte hai??"

(Can I also call you Dadu?)

Karanjeet: "Aaho ji puttar, jo chahe bula sakti ho."

(Of course, dear. Call me whatever you like.)

Ruhanika: "thik hai Dadu"

(Okay, Dadu.)

Karanjeet smiled warmly at Ruhanika, his expression softening as he reached out and affectionately patted her head.

Ruhanika: "Par dekhiye aap inhe daantiyega mat, aap hume daant lijiyega inhe nahi."

(But please don’t scold him. If you’re angry, scold me, not him.)

Karanjeet: "Tumhe bhi kyu daantunga puttar, tum toh kitni pyaari si ho."

(Why would I scold you, dear? You’re so sweet.)

Ruhanika's face lit up with a broad smile, her dimples showing as her eyes sparkled with happiness.

Ruhanika: "Kya hum aapko Pasand aaye?? Aap nahi layenge na kisi aur ladki ko??"

(Do you like me? You won’t bring any other girl now, will you?)

Ruhanika spoke with a hint of sadness in her voice, her eyes reflecting the melancholy she felt. Sensing her emotions, Rudraksh immediately pulled her into a comforting side hug, his arms wrapping around her gently as he rested his chin on her head.

Rudraksh: "Kar ditta na meri Ruhh nu udaas, hadd hai tussi sab di!"

(There you go, making my Ruhh sad. You all have no limits!)

Ruhanika looked up at Rudraksh, her brows furrowed in confusion.

Rudraksh: "Jaana tum udaas mat dono, Dadu kisi ladki ko nhi layenge ye sab milkar tumhe tang kar rahe the."

(Don’t be sad, love. Dadu won’t bring anyone else. They were all just teasing you.)

Ruhanika: "Hume tang kar rahe the sab??"

(You were teasing me?)

Rudraksh nodded, understanding her confusion. Ruhanika, still trying to process what was happening, shifted her gaze toward Dadu and the others. With a dramatic flair, she shot them an accusing look, as if silently blaming them for the teasing.

Ruhanika: "kya aap sab hume sata rahe the??"

(Were all of you teasing me with Dadu?)

Ashvik: "Offo meri toh meeting ki call thi, phone kaha gaya."

(Oh no, I have a meeting call. Where’s my phone?)

As Ashvik pretended to search for his phone, Ruhanika’s gaze followed him with a growing sense of confusion. When she noticed him getting ready to leave, her frown deepened.

Ruhanika: "Bhaiyuu rukiye."

(Bhaiyuu, wait!)

Ashvik closed his eyes, clearly feeling the weight of Ruhanika’s intense gaze. Ruhanika, sensing his hesitation, stepped in front of him, standing with a hand firmly placed on her waist.

Ashvik: "Areh Teddy, tum shopping pe gayi thi na, kaisi rahi shopping??"

(Hey, Teddy! You went shopping, right? How was it?)

Ruhanika’s glare intensified as she shifted her gaze from Ashvik to the others in the room, silently demanding answers. Karanjeet and Rudraksh, unable to hold back their amusement, suppressed their laughs, sharing a knowing glance.

Ruhanika: "Aap sab milkar sata rahe the hume inke dadu k...."

(Were you all teasing me with his Dadu?)

Karanjeet: "Hmmm???"

Ruhanika: "Humara matlab ki dadu ke sath milkar aap sab sata rahe the hume??"

(I mean, Dadu, were you all teasing me?)

Karanjeet: "Puttar ye Rishwik aur Ashvik inhi dono bandaro ki karamaat hai, inhi dono ka bekaar idea tha ye."

(Dear, it was Rishwik and Ashvik. These two monkeys planned it. It was their useless idea.)

Rishwik: "Dadu yaar jhuth kyu bol rahe ho, Kartavya bhai ne shuru kiya tha."

(Dadu, why are you lying? Kartavya Bhai started it!)

Kartavya: "Sharam karle bade bhai ko bewajah fasa raha hai. Little sunshine ye.."

(Shame on you, falsely blaming your elder brother. Little sunshine, it was...)

Kartavya couldn't help but smile as he noticed Ruhanika glaring at him, her face adorned with an annoyed pout. Her expressions were so genuine, yet so endearing, that he found himself amused. It was clear she was trying to hold onto her frustration, but the way her lips puffed out and her eyes narrowed only made her sister look even more adorable to him.

Ruhanika: "Ab has rahe hai humpe, hum aap sabse thode se naraz hai kyuki hum aap sabhi ke liye tohfe laaye hai jo abhi hum aap sabko denge Varna hum pure naraz ho jate."

(Now you’re all laughing at me. I’m a little upset with you all because I brought gifts for everyone. Otherwise, I would have been fully upset.)

Kartavya, Rishwik, and Ashvik exchanged knowing glances, a silent conversation passing between them. Without warning, Ashvik gently pushed Ruhanika onto the couch, and before she could react, the three of them pounced on her, starting to tickle her. Ruhanika burst into uncontrollable laughter, her eyes sparkling with joy as she squirmed and tried to escape their playful assault. The room was filled with the sound of her laughter, and the rest of the family couldn't help but join in, erupting into a chorus of joyful, carefree laughter.

Ruhanika: "areh bas kijiye na bhai, hum tohfe denge hai aap sabko."

(Oh, stop it, Bhai. I’ll give you all the gifts now.)

After a few moments of playful tickling, Ashvik gently helped Ruhanika sit up, carefully adjusting her hair to make sure she looked composed. The laughter in the room slowly faded as everyone settled down, and Ruhanika, her excitement still palpable, eagerly began handing out the gifts she had bought for everyone. Each person received their present with smiles, expressing their happiness and appreciation for her thoughtful gestures. As Ruhanika handed a gift to Ashvik, a warm feeling of gratitude surged inside him. It was the first gift he had ever received from his sister, and the significance of the moment almost overwhelmed him. However, he quickly composed himself, not wanting to spoil the joyful atmosphere. He gave her a genuine smile, grateful for the simple yet meaningful connection they shared. The moment was filled with love and a sense of belonging, and Ashvik cherished it silently in his heart.

Ruhanika: "Dadu, maaf kijiye hum aapke liye nahi laaye kuch, hume pata nahi tha aap aane wale hai."

(Dadu, I’m sorry. I didn’t bring anything for you because I didn’t know you were coming.)

Karanjeet: "puttar tune mere is pagal pote se shadi ki vahi bahaut hai mere liye."

( Dear, you marrying my crazy grandson is enough for me.)

Ruhanika: "aap inhe pagal mat kahiye."

(Please don’t call him crazy.)

Rudraksh chuckled. Even Karanjeet couldn't hold back a smile. He shook his head fondly, his eyes twinkling with affection for his granddaughter-in-law.

Karanjeet: "Jaise tussi chaho puttar."

(As you wish, dear.)

Ruhanika grinned.

Savisha: "Achcha chaliye Dadu ab aap rest kar lo, aap thak gaye rahoge aur vaise bhi lal karwachauth hai na toh bahaut taiyari baaki."

(Okay, Dadu, now you should rest. You must be tired, and there’s still so much preparation left for Karwa Chauth.)

Rishwik: "Aao Dadu main le chalta hu aapko uper kamre me."

(Come, Dadu. I’ll take you upstairs to your room.)

Ruhanika: "Rishi Bhai Rukiye."

(Wait, Rishi Bhai!)

Ruhanika, stood up from her seat between Ashvik and Rudraksh. She walked towards Dadu and stood in front of him.

Ruhanika: "Rishi Bhai, dekhiye na Dadu kitne buddhe ho gaye hai, kamzor lag rahe hai kaise siddhiya chadhenge ye, inhe niche ka hi kamra de dijiye."

(Rishi Bhai, look at Dadu. He’s so old and weak. How will he climb the stairs? Give him a room downstairs.)

Karanjeet's eyes widened in surprise as he watched Ruhanika. Before he could say anything, Rishwik, Kartavya, Kritika, and Ashvik burst into laughter, unable to contain themselves at the unexpected turn of events. The sound of their laughter filled the room, making Karanjeet roll his eyes in mock frustration. In a playful moment of retaliation, he slapped Rishwik on the bum, causing another round of laughter to erupt from the group.

Karanjeet: "Khotya! Mere te hasta hai? Hun ek hor khich ke pavanga, akal thikane aa jayegi taudi."

(Idiot! You’re making fun of me? Now I’ll hit you so hard your senses will come back!)

Rishwik rubbed his bum with a playful pout, pretending to be hurt from Karanjeet's slap. His exaggerated reaction only made the others laugh harder. He looked around at everyone with a mock glare, clearly trying to act tough, but the amusement in his eyes gave him away.

Karanjeet: "Aur tussi puttar ji, main kaha se buddha hu Ruhi?? Abhi abhi toh jawani me kadam rakha hai maine."

(And you, dear, how am I old? I just stepped into my youth!)

Ruhanika looked at Karanjeet in confusion.

Ruhanika: "Nahi Dadu, aapne Jawani me nahi aapne Jawani se bahar kadam rakha hai. Aap dekhiye chadi lekar chalte hai kaise chadh payenge aap sidhiyan."

(No, Dadu. You’ve stepped out of your youth. Look, you walk with a cane. How will you climb stairs?)

Ashvik, Kartavya, Kritika, and Rishwik collapsed onto the couch, their laughter echoing through the room. They were practically in stitches, struggling to catch their breath as they pointed at each other, trying to stifle their giggles. Savisha and Rudraksh couldn’t help but chuckle at Ruhanika’s innocence and the playful chaos she had stirred up, their eyes filled with affection and amusement. Karanjeet, on the other hand, was in complete shock, his jaw slightly hanging as he processed Ruhanika’s innocent remark. He had never imagined she would be so outspoken. His wide-eyed expression was a stark contrast to the carefree laughter of the others.

Karanjeet: "Bas kar puttar main niche ke kamre me hi reh lunga, tu itni chinta na kar meri."

( Fine, dear. I’ll take a room downstairs. Don’t worry so much about me.)

Ruhanika flashed a grin and nodded.

Ruhanika: "Ji Dadu, aap araam kijiye hum aapke liye kuch bana ke laaye?? Aap ko bhookh bhi lagi hogi na??"

(Okay, Dadu. You rest. Should I make something for you? You must be hungry, right?)

Karanjeet smiled warmly at her concern, appreciating the care she showed.

Karanjeet: "Nahi puttar ji tussi bhi araam kar lo."

(No, dear. You rest too.)

Ruhanika smiled warmly as everyone headed to their rooms for some much-needed rest. The energy in the house had lightened, filled with laughter and warmth from the day's interactions. Meanwhile, Rishwik and Ashvik, always up for a bit of fun, decided to drop Karanjeet to his room. They couldn't resist teasing him about his age, knowing it would get a rise out of him.

As they reached his room, their playful remarks earned them a swift but firm tap on their bums from Karanjeet’s walking stick. The two brothers yelped in exaggerated pain but couldn't help laughing as they backed out of the room, still teasing and joking. With mischievous grins, they left the room, their laughter echoing down the hallway.

As the evening unfolded at the RM mansion, the air was filled with laughter and warmth. Savisha was busily explaining to Ruhanika the various rituals that would take place and the things she needed to prepare for. Meanwhile, Kritika was busy applying henna to Savisha and Ruhanika’s hands, delicately drawing intricate designs that made her smile with joy.

Rishwik, ever the playful one, couldn’t resist asking Kritika to apply henna to her hand as well. Kritika, somewhat amused by his request, took the henna cone and began drawing on her left hand. On the right hand, however, Rishwik took it upon himself to apply the henna. Unfortunately for him, his artistic skills left much to be desired, and the design on Kritika's right hand was a far cry from the beautiful patterns she had made on the others. It looked more like the scribbling of a 4-year-old child. Kritika, unable to hold back, kicked him lightly, laughing at his attempt. Rishwik, on the other hand, grumbled that no one seemed to appreciate his help, although the rest of the room was in fits of laughter.

The evening continued with giggles, playful banter, and teasing. Ashvik, Kartavya, and Rishwik didn't waste a single moment to poke fun at their grandfather, Dadu, making fun of his age and habits. But, much to their surprise, Ruhanika, who had grown fond of Karanjeet, found herself defending him with a smile. Her playful retorts and witty remarks soon turned the tables, and by the end of it, she had roasted her Dadu in the most charming way, leaving everyone laughing and enjoying the moment even more. The mansion was filled with light-hearted energy and the love of family

The Next morning, around 3:30 air was still and quiet as the alarm rang, piercing through the calm of the night. Ruhanika stirred from her sleep, blinking her eyes against the darkness. At the same moment, Rudraksh reached out, silencing the alarm. His eyes met Ruhanika's, soft and affectionate. Rudraksh reached over to turn off the alarm, then glanced at Ruhanika, his gaze softening as he gently took her hand in his.

Rudraksh: "Mallika-e-Aksh, dekho main abhi bhi keh raha hu, kya zarurat hai aise fast rakhne ki, bhukh lag jayegi tumhe, aur tumhare toh monthly dates bhi pass me hai tabiyat kharab ho gayi toh."

(My Queen Aksh, I’m telling you again—what’s the need to fast like this? You’ll get hungry, and your monthly dates are nearby. What if your health deteriorates?)

Ruhanika: "Aap na jitna kamzor hume samajhte hai, him utne hai nahi thik hai na, aur ye humara pehle tyohar hai aapke sath aur aapke liye hum toh rakhenge vrat."

(You think I’m weaker than I actually am, Aksh. And this is our first festival together. I’m fasting for you, and I will keep this fast.)

Rudraksh: "Par jaana suno.."

(But listen…)

Ruhanika: "Hume deri ho rahi hai, bhabhi sa ne 4 baje niche aane kaha hai, hume taiyaar hone dijiye."

(I’m getting late. Bhabhi-sa told me to come downstairs by 4 o’clock. Let me get ready.)

Rudraksh let out a deep sigh, and Ruhanika slowly rose from the bed. However, before she could walk away, she paused and glanced back at Rudraksh, her eyes lingering on him for a moment.

Ruhanika: "Fikr mat kijiye Aksh, hum thik honge."

(Don’t worry, Aksh. I’ll be fine.)

She quickly planted a kiss on his cheek before darting into the washroom. Rudraksh touched the spot where her lips had brushed against his skin, a grin spreading across his face as he chuckled softly to himself.

Rudraksh: "Sohneyo, agar mujhe pagal karna hai, ta ek vaar ch hee kar do na, yun dheere dheere meri jaan lene da ki matlab hai? Ekdum deewana bana diya hai tumne mujhe"

(Sweetheart, if you want to drive me crazy, just do it all at once. What’s the point of taking my life bit by bit? You’ve completely bewitched me.)

Rudraksh chuckled softly on his own thoughts. He quickly slipped on a simple T-shirt and made his way downstairs, feeling a sense of excitement building within him. After a while, Ruhanika and Savisha descended the stairs together, and the moment they appeared, the room seemed to pause. Both women were a sight to behold. Savisha wore a soft peach ethnic dress that flowed gracefully, with delicate matching bangles and earrings that sparkled subtly. Her nuptial chain rested elegantly on her neck, and a streak of vermillion adorned her hairline, marking the traditional significance of her married status. Ruhanika, on the other hand, wore a golden ethnic dress that shimmered in the soft light, enhancing her radiant beauty. Her jhumkas swayed with every step, and the same vermillion in her hair added a touch of grace and significance to her appearance. A bindi, carefully placed between her eyebrows, completed the look. Their wet hair added a sense of freshness, adding to their beauty.

Kartavya and Rudraksh, who were previously engrossed in their own thoughts, were immediately struck by the sight of their wives. Their gazes locked on Ruhanika and Savisha, their admiration palpable. They both walked toward them, their steps slow and deliberate, as if they couldn't believe how beautiful their wives looked. The intense gaze in their eyes made both Savisha and Ruhanika blush, the warmth of their husbands' admiration filling them with a deep sense of love.

Kartavya, with a proud smile, gently took Savisha's hand in his, his fingers intertwining with hers as if to remind her that she was his world. Rudraksh, equally enamored by Ruhanika's presence, reached out and took her hand, holding it tenderly. Both couples stood there for a moment, basking in the connection between them, a shared understanding of the deep bond they shared.

The room seemed to hum with the energy of the moment, the love between the couples shining brightly, and both Ruhanika and Savisha couldn't help but feel the warmth of their husbands' affection and the admiration in their eyes.

Kartavya: "Mahiyee"

Rudraksh: "Sohneyoo"

Savisha and Ruhanika hummed softly, their voices blending in harmony, both wearing shy smiles on their faces.

Kartavya, Rudraksh: "Geele baal hai, sardi lag jayegi dhyaan kaha hai tumhara???"

(Your hair is wet! You’ll catch a cold. Where’s your attention?)

Kartavya and Rudraksh both spoke in unison, teasing Savisha and Ruhanika. The two women exchanged a quick, disapproving glance, clearly unimpressed. Savisha narrowed her eyes at Kartavya, her gaze sharp as she pushed him aside with a huff and walked briskly toward the dining table. Kartavya, though slightly taken aback by her reaction, quickly followed her, trying to ease the tension with a sheepish grin.

Ruhanika, on the other hand, pouted. She lowered her head.

Ruhanika: "Hum achche nahi lag rahe hai kya?? Kuch aur pehen ke aaye??"

(Am I not looking good? Should I wear something else?)

Rudraksh gently cupped Ruhanika's face, his touch tender and reassuring. He softly caressed her cheek, his thumb grazing over her skin as he looked into her eyes with warmth.

Rudraksh: "Kisne kaha achchi nahi lag rahi?? Meri Ruhh toh humesha hi pyaari lagti hai."

(Who said you’re not looking good? My Ruhh always looks beautiful.)

Ruhanika: "Phir aapne hume daanta kyu??"

(Then why did you scold me?)

Rudraksh: "Jaana geele baal, vaise hi itni nazuk ho tum ek single pasli, sardi lag gayi toh...."

(Sweetheart, your hair is wet. You’re already so delicate—a “single rib”—and what if you catch a cold?)

Ruhanika's frown deepened, her expression turning more annoyed as she crossed her arms. She huffed softly, clearly irritated by the situation.

Ruhanika: "Aapko hum kabhi suii, kabhi toothpick, kabhi single pasli, aur na jaane kya kya lagte hai, kya hum kabhi aapko ladki nahi lagte??"

(You call me a needle, a toothpick, a single rib… don’t I ever seem like just a girl to you?)

Ruhanika spoke with a hint of annoyance in her voice, her frustration evident. Rudraksh couldn’t help but chuckle even more at her reaction.

Rudraksh: "Achcha baba sorry, aap kuch kha lo phir tumhare Baal sikha dunga. Aao chalo."

(Alright, alright, I’m sorry. Now eat something, and I’ll dry your hair. Come on.)

Ruhanika nodded and followed Rudraksh towards the dining table. As they approached, Rudraksh couldn’t help but glance at Kartavya with a look of silent admiration. In less than two minutes, Kartavya had managed to pacify Savisha, something Rudraksh knew wasn’t always easy. He gave him an impressed nod before making Ruhanika sit comfortably in her chair. As he settled beside her, he noticed Karanjeet looking at him with an amused expression.

Rudraksh: "Daduu??"

Karanjeet remained still, his gaze still fixed on Rudraksh. However, Rishwik, couldn’t resist. With a mischievous smirk, he moved closer to Karanjeet and, without warning, shouted in his ears.

Rishwik: "Good morning oldieeeee"

Karanjeet, with a swift motion, gave Rishwik a light slap on the cheek, a playful yet affectionate gesture. The sound of the slap echoed in the room, and Rishwik instantly pouted, his expression shifting to one of mock indignation.

Kartavya: "Kya hua Dadu kaha kho gaye??"

(Dadu, what’s wrong? Why are you lost?)

Karanjeet: "Maine hunne hunne is Rudraksh nu hasde hoye suna, bas kehdo mere kaan bacha rahe ne!"

(I just heard Rudraksh laugh! Just confirm that my ears are still intact!)

Ashvik: "Vaise taan is umar ch eh sab hunda hai, par nahi tussi sahi suna, sab meri behen da kamaal hai!"

(Well, it’s normal at this age. But no, you heard right. It’s all thanks to my sister.)

Karanjeet shot a playful glare at Ashvik for his cheeky comment about his age, his eyes narrowing with mock annoyance. Meanwhile, Rishwik, always up for some mischief, gave Ashvik a high-five, their laughter echoing in the room. Savisha and Kartavya couldn't help but chuckle at the scene, while Rudraksh rolled his eyes in exasperation at his Dadu's dramatic antics, though a smile tugged at the corner of his lips.

Ruhanika, still puzzled by the conversation, glanced around, her confusion clear on her face as she didn't fully understand their rapid-fire Punjabi exchanges. Sensing her confusion, Karanjeet softened, his expression shifting to one of affection. He moved toward Ruhanika, gently caressing her head, his actions filled with warmth and care.

Karanjeet: "Waheguru Teri sari murad puri kare kudiye, tu nahi janti tune kya kiya hai."

(Waheguru, may all your wishes come true, dear. You don’t realize what you’ve done.)

Ruhanika: "Ji Dadu hum nahi jante yaha kya baatein ho Rahi hai, aap bata dijiye."

(Dadu, I don’t know what’s being discussed. Please tell me.)

Karanjeet smiled warmly, shaking his head at Ruhanika's innocence. He couldn't help but feel a sense of fondness for her—her genuine, unguarded nature was a breath of fresh air.

Karanjeet: "Kuch nahi, chal ye dekh ye sab khana tere aur Savi puttar ke liye hai, karwachauth ki sargi ghar ke buzurg dete hai isiliye main de raha hu."

(Nothing, dear. Here, look at this. All this food is for you and Savi puttar for Karwa Chauth’s sargi. It’s a tradition for elders to provide it, so I’m giving it to you.)

Savisha and Ruhanika shared a warm smile as Karanjeet placed a plate full of delicious dishes in front of them. The food looked tempting, with vibrant colors and mouth-watering aromas wafting through the air. Ruhanika's eyes sparkled with delight as she took the plate, her smile widening with gratitude. Savisha, too, accepted her plate with a gentle nod, both women clearly appreciative of Karanjeet's thoughtful gesture. Rudraksh, sitting beside Ruhanika, watched the exchange with a soft smile. He could see how comfortable she had become in the family, surrounded by love and warmth. He gently placed his hand on her back, subtly supporting her, as she began to enjoy her meal. Karanjeet looked on, a proud smile tugging at his lips as he watched his family share this moment of togetherness.

Rishwik: "Agar ye kaam buzurgo ka hai toh khud bana dete ya chef se banwa lete, ye aadhi toh hum sabko utha ke mehnat kyu karwayi??"

(If this is an elders' job, why didn’t they prepare it themselves or ask the chef to? Why wake all of us up and make us work hard?)

Kartavya and Rudraksh exchanged a quiet smile, watching their ladies enjoy the meal with contentment. There was a sense of satisfaction in the air, not just from the delicious food, but from the happiness of seeing their loved ones at ease. They had no qualms about cooking for them, knowing that moments like this were worth every bit of effort. As the women savored each bite, the men couldn't help but feel a sense of pride. It wasn't just about the food; it was the love and care that went into preparing it. Kartavya glanced at Rudraksh, his eyes gleaming with an unspoken understanding. They didn't need to say anything; it was clear they were both in their element—providing and cherishing the women who meant the world to them.

Ashvik: "Vahi toh sirf Kartavya bhai aur Rudraksh ko uthate na humne konsa paap kiya tha."

(Exactly. They could’ve just called Kartavya bhai and Rudraksh. What crime did we commit?)

Karanjeet: "Ek-ek chittar aur khana hai tussi dono nu, ya fir chup karoge?"

(You two are going to get a smack or stay quiet!)

Ashvik and Rishwik quickly fell silent.

Ruhanika: "Ye chittar kya hota hai Dadu?? Meetha hota hai kya, hum khayenge??"

(What’s a chittar, Dadu? Is it sweet? Can I have it?)

Rudraksh chuckled softly, watching Ruhanika as he took another bite from her plate.

Karanjeet: "Nahi puttar tere liye meetha mangaya hai maine ruk tu. "

(No, my dear. I’ve got sweets for you. Wait.)

Ruhanika nodded as Amandeep walked in, still half-asleep. He handed a tiffin box to Karanjeet with a groggy expression before dragging himself to a seat beside Rishwik. Without another word, he slumped his face onto the table, closing his eyes and settling into a peaceful slumber.

Savisha: "Aman, kya hua aise aadhi nind me kaha se aa rahe ho??"

(Aman, why do you look so groggy? Where are you coming from?)

Amandeep: "Dadu se puchiye bhabhi, main so Raha hu."

(Ask Dadu, Bhabhi. I was sleeping.)

Savisha chuckled and shook her head, her eyes filled with affection as she watched Amandeep's slumbering form.

Ruhanika: "Aman bhaiya, aap nind me hai toh uth ke yaha kyu aaye?? So jaiye na aapka vrat thodi hai."

(Aman bhaiya, if you’re sleepy, why did you get up and come here? Go back to bed; it’s not like you’re fasting.)

Rishwik: "Angel, ye Aman, main aur Ashvik bhai hum toh Shanti se so hi rahe the, ye Dadu ki bhooton ki tarah humare kamre me aake hume uthaye hai."

(Angel, Aman, Ashvik bhai, and I were peacefully sleeping. Dadu came into our room like a ghost and woke us up!)

The three of them glared at Karanjeet, who was completely unbothered by their silent reprimands. He was casually checking the tiffin box, inspecting its contents with a satisfied smile.

Amandeep: "Vahi toh, ye koi time hai mujhe Gurudware bhej ke kada prashad mangwane ka."

(Exactly! Is this the time to send me to the Gurdwara to bring kada prasad?)

Amandeep, still half-asleep, mumbled in a groggy voice. Rishwik, clearly exhausted, leaned his head onto Amandeep’s shoulder, closing his eyes with a small sigh.

Ruhanika: "Kada prashad, bhabhi ye vahi hai na Jo aap humare liye laayi thi us din??"

(Kada prasad—Bhabhi, is it the same one you brought for me that day?)

Savisha: "Ha Ruhi vahi hai, Baba ji ka prashad."

(Yes, Ruhi, the same one. It’s Baba Ji’s offering.)

Karanjeet: "Aaho kudiye, Savi puttar ne bataya tujhe meetha pasand hai, isiliye Prashad mangaya."

(Yes, dear. Savi puttar told me you love sweets, so I got prasad for you.)

Ruhanika’s grin widened as she watched Karanjeet, who, much to her surprise, took a piece of the prashad and gently offered it to both her and Savisha.

Ruhanika: "Kriti didi kaha hai?? Vo nahi aayi??"

(Where’s Kriti didi? Didn’t she come?)

Ashvik: "Betiyo se alag pyaar hai is old man ko, Kriti ko nahi uthaya unhone ye keh ke bechari thak gayi hogi.... Jaise main Rishwik aur Amandeep toh robot hai thakte hi nahi."

(Dadu has a different level of affection for daughters. He didn’t wake Kriti, saying she must be tired… as if Rishwik, Aman, and I are robots who never get tired.)

Ashvik shot Karanjeet a glare, his expression filled with frustration.

Karanjeet: "Ithe aa, main dassda haan tainu kitna thakya hoya hai tu!"

(Come here! I’ll show you how tired you really are!)

Ashvik pouted and let out a frustrated huff, causing everyone else to chuckle at his reaction. Meanwhile, Amandeep and Rishwik, who had already dozed off at the dining table, remained completely unaware of the bustle around them. Ashvik gently patted their backs, trying to wake them up so they could head to their room and get some rest. After a few moments, everyone finished their meals and gradually made their way back to their respective rooms, settling in for a peaceful night.

Ruhanika entered the room and walked over to the dressing table, carefully removing her jewelry. The delicate sound of the pieces being set down echoed in the quiet room. Rudraksh entered behind her, his eyes softening as he watched her. Without a word, he gently guided her to the Ottoman and helped her sit down.

Ruhanika: "Kya kar rahe hai??"

(What’s going on?)

Rudraksh: "Bas 5 min jaana chup rehna aur kuch mat bolna thik hai??"

(Just be quiet for five minutes, sweetheart, and don’t say anything, okay?)

Ruhanika nodded, her eyes soft with understanding. Rudraksh then looked at his fist, which held a mixture of red chillies, black mustard seeds, and salt. Ruhanika's gaze followed his, and she couldn't help but smile. She knew exactly what that meant— a traditional ritual that ward off evil eye. Her heart warmed at the thought of this little gesture that had so much significance for them as a couple.

Ruhanika nodded, her eyes soft with understanding. Rudraksh then looked at his fist, which held a mixture of red chillies, black mustard seeds, and salt. Ruhanika's gaze followed his, and she couldn't help but smile. She knew exactly what that meant— a traditional ritual that would keep them both safe and blessed. Her heart warmed at the thought of this little gesture that had so much significance for them as a couple.

Rudraksh, with a focused look, rotated his fist around her seven times, following the age-old custom. After completing the ritual, he quickly got up and rushed down to the kitchen, where he took whatever was in his hand and tossed it into the fire, ensuring that whatever it was was burned completely.  When he returned to the room, Ruhanika was still sitting there, her smile still lingering on her face as she watched him. It was a smile that spoke of love, trust, and a sense of warmth that only grew stronger with each passing moment.

Rudraksh walked toward her, his presence enveloping her, and without a word, he back hugged her. The familiar scent of his cologne mixed with the fragrance of her hair, and it was a moment of pure serenity.  Ruhanika smiled even more as she stood up, her hands reaching for her earrings to remove them.

Ruhanika: "Ye aapne kya Kiya??"

(What did you just do?)

Rudraksh: "Nazar utari hai tumhari, itni pyaari lagogi toh bachana toh padega na."

(I removed the evil eye from you. You’re looking so lovely; I had to protect you.)

Ruhanika: "Par aap toh nahi mante na in sab cheezo me?? Phir kaha se sikha se??"

(But you don’t believe in all this. Then where did you learn it from?)

Rudraksh: "Bhabhi se pucha tha."

( I asked Bhabhi.)

Ruhanika: "Kab se manne lage hai??"

(Since when did you start believing?)

Ruhanika, having removed all her jewelry, gently placed her hand over Rudraksh's, which rested on her stomach. She could feel the warmth of his touch. Meanwhile, Rudraksh's face was buried in the crook of her neck, his breath sending chilled sensations down her spine.

Rudraksh: "Main tumhe manta hu Sohneyo aur mere liye itna hi kaafi hai har vo baat manne ke liye jispe tumhe bharosa hai."

(I believe in you, Sohneyo, and that’s enough for me to follow anything you trust.)

Ruhanika smiled softly, her heart swelling with warmth, and then gently turned towards him. She reached out, holding his hands in hers, her touch tender and reassuring.

Ruhanika: "Toh humare ek aur baat manenge aap??"

(Then will you listen to one more thing from me?)

Rudraksh: "Hukum kare Mallika-e-Aksh."

(Command me, my Queen Aksh.)

Ruhanika's cheeks flushed a soft pink as she shyly bent down to open the drawer. Her fingers delicately pulled out a red thread. As she held it up, Rudraksh's smile slowly faded.

Rudraksh: "Jaana ye aap..."

(Jaan, this... you.)

Ruhanika: "Ji hum jante hai aap nahi mante hai bhagwan ne, par ye bhabhi sa sabke liye laayi thi vo Gurudware se."

(Yes, I know you don’t believe in God, but Bhabhi-sa brought this from the Gurudwara for everyone.)

Rudraksh: "Main unhe bhi nahi manta hu, maine bataya tha kyu nahi manta."

(I don’t believe in it, and I’ve already told you why I don’t.)

Ruhanika: "Haa hum jante hai, par aapne kaha aap hume mante hai, kya aap humare liye ise pehen nahi sakte??"

(Yes, I know. But you said you believe in me, right? Can’t you wear this for me?)

Rudraksh: "Par mujhe iski kya zaroorat jaan??"

(But why would I need it, Jaan?)

Ruhanika: "Aapne dekha bhi hai ladkiya kaise kaise dekhti hai aapko??"

(Have you even noticed how some girls look at you?)

Rudraksh immediately understood the jealousy that had momentarily crossed Ruhanika’s expression, and a mischievous smile tugged at the corner of his lips. He suppressed it, wanting to address her feelings before anything else. Slowly, he pulled her closer, his strong arms wrapping around her waist in a comforting embrace. He could feel the tension in her body slowly melt away as she leaned into him.

Rudraksh: "Kaise dekhti hai ladkiya mujhe Ruhh??"

(How do they look at me, Ruhh?)

Ruhanika: "Jaise vo abhi aapko kha jayenge, aur na jane kaha kaha dekhti hai. Aise dusre ke pati ko dekhna galat baat hai na."

(As if they’re ready to devour you right then and there! And God knows where all they look! Isn’t it wrong to stare at someone else’s husband like that?)

Rudraksh: "Tumhe gussa aaya?"

(Did it make you angry?)

Ruhanika: "Haa, hum jante hai aap bahaut sundar hai aur har kaam me nipurna hai par hai toh humare na, sirf hum dekh sakte hai aapko."

(Yes, I know you’re very handsome and skilled in everything you do. But you’re mine, aren’t you? Only I get to look at you.)

Ruhanika's pout deepened as she recalled Kashmira's words and how the girls in the mall had been fawning over Rudraksh. Her face was a perfect mix of annoyance and jealousy, but to Rudraksh, it was utterly endearing. His gaze softened, and before she could say anything more, he leaned in and gently bit her cheek, a playful, loving gesture that made her stop mid-sentence.

Ruhanika: "Ahh, ye kya"

(Ahh! What’s this?)

Rudraksh: "Tussi bahut cute ho sohneyo, main hun apne aap nu control nahi kar sakda. Ruhh, can I kiss right now??"

(You’re so cute, Sohneyo. I can’t control myself. Ruhh, can I kiss you right now?)

Ruhanika's eyes widened in realization.

Ruhanika: "Arehhh, ye kya kiya aapne."

(Ahhh! What did you do?)

Rudraksh furrowed his brows, a look of confusion crossing his face as he tried to make sense of her sudden gesture.

Rudraksh: "Kya hua Jaan?"

(What happened, Jaan?)

Ruhanika: "Humari pehli date thi kal, aapne kal kiss kyu nahi kiya, aur phir hum bhi bhul gaye."

(It was supposed to be our first date yesterday. Why didn’t you kiss me then? And then I forgot too.)

Ruhanika tapped her forehead with the palm of her hand, frustrated expression crossing her face as she let out a sigh. Rudraksh, noticing her reaction, couldn't help but chuckle softly. His eyes sparkled with amusement as he watched her, clearly enjoying the way she wore her emotions so openly.

Rudraksh: "Thik hai toh ab kar leta hu."

(Alright then, let me kiss you now)

Rudraksh leaned in closer, his face just inches from hers, his eyes locked onto hers with affection and pure love. Ruhanika’s cheeks flushed a deeper shade of pink as she felt the proximity, her heart skipping a beat. In a flurry of shyness, she quickly placed her hand over his mouth, stopping him just before he could kiss her.

Rudraksh: "What, why??"

Ruhanika: "Humara Virat shuru ho gaya hai."

(My fast has started.)

Rudraksh let out a soft groan, feeling the weight of the moment as he dropped his face into her neck, his breath warm against her skin. Ruhanika’s heart melted at the sound of his quiet frustration, and instinctively, she wrapped her arms around him, pulling him closer. Gently, she rubbed his back in soothing circles.

Ruhanika: "Toh kya aap, humare liye ise pehen lenge??"

(So, will you wear this for me?)

Rudraksh pulled away slightly, his expression unreadable for a moment as he gazed at her, his hand leaving her waist. Ruhanika could feel the shift in his energy, sensing that something had changed, and her heart sank. She lowered her head, feeling the weight of the unspoken tension. But then, after a beat, Rudraksh reached out, his hand extended toward her. She looked up, meeting his gaze, her eyes filled with a mix of confusion.

Rudraksh: "Is liye nahi pehen raha kyuki bharosa ho gaya hai mujhe tumhare bhagwan pe. Tumhe Khushi milegi aur tum pe yakeen hai bas isiliye bandh do ise meri kalai pe."

(I’m not wearing it because I now believe in your God. I’m wearing it because it’ll make you happy, and I believe in you. That’s reason enough for me. Go ahead, tie it on my wrist.)

Ruhanika grinned as she took the red thread from her hand and carefully tied it around Rudraksh's wrist. The holy thread symbolized her love, protection, and the bond they shared.

Rudraksh: "Ab khush hai aap Mallika-e-Aksh??"

(Are you happy now, Mallika-e-Aksh?)

Ruhanika: "ji bahaut."

(Yes, very much.)

Rudraksh: "Chalo aao ab baal sukhau tumhare."

(Come on now, let me dry your hair.)

He gently guided her to sit down and began drying her hair with a dryer.

In the afternoon, the house was filled with a peaceful calm as everyone was home. Rudraksh stayed close to Ruhanika, ensuring she was comfortable and not overexerting herself. Kartavya was doing the same with Savisha, keeping her at ease and making sure she rested. Karanjeet had retreated to his room for some quiet time. Kritika was focused on her online meeting, typing away on her laptop, while Ashvik had stepped out for an errand. Meanwhile, Amandeep had gone to the office to handle the work in Rudraksh's absence, taking care of any pressing matters. The house was bustling in its own quiet way, each person attending to their responsibilities, yet the atmosphere remained peaceful and content.

Rishwik was sitting in the living room, casually with his laptop, though his boredom was evident. He kept glancing around, looking for something to do while the quiet afternoon seemed to stretch on endlessly.

Rishwik: "kya bore ho raha hai yaar kuch kaam nahi hai kya karu, kise pareshan karu, dadu ne toh maar ke bhaga diya."

(I’m so bored, man. There’s nothing to do. Who should I bother? Dadu already kicked me out.)

Rishwik began talking to himself, his voice low as he muttered his thoughts aloud.

Rishwik: "Ye Ashvik bhai ko bhi raha nahi jata hai Akshu se mile Bina, ab main kya karu, Kriti di bhi maregi disturb kiya toh."

(Ashvik Bhai can’t seem to stay away from Akshu. Now what should I do? Kriti Di will kill me if I disturb her.)

Rishwik sat up straighter, his fingers tapping lightly on his knee as he brainstormed. His mind raced through various ideas to break the boredom that had taken over the house. After a few moments of thinking, his eyes lit up, and a mischievous grin spread across his face.

Rishwik: "Ashvik bhai ka bank account hack kar leta hu, thoda fayda ho jayega aur time pass bhi, heeheee"

(I know! I’ll hack Ashvik Bhai’s bank account. That’ll be fun and productive. Hehehe.)

Rishwik couldn't help but giggle at his own mischievous thought, his excitement bubbling over. His fingers hovered over the keys of his laptop, already diving into action as he began working on his plan.

Rishwik: "Vaise bhi Samundar me se kuch boondein lelu toh konsa kuch farak pad jayega."

(Anyway, taking a few drops out of the ocean won’t make much of a difference)

As Rishwik continued working, his focus entirely on hacking into Ashvik's bank account, he absentmindedly munched on his snacks, completely immersed in the task. The soft crunch of his chips and the clicking of his keyboard filled the quiet room. But suddenly, out of nowhere, a hand reached over and yanked his ears. His snacks nearly fell from his hand, and he quickly spun around, surprised and startled, his mischievous grin replaced with a startled frown.

Rishwik: "aahhhh"

Rishwik quickly held his ear in surprise and turned around, only to find Akshavi standing there, holding his ear firmly. Ashvik, standing beside him, was glaring at Rishwik with a look of disbelief and annoyance. Both Akshavi and Ashvik had overheard Rishwik's self-conversation and were clearly not pleased with what they'd heard. Rishwik's grin faded as he realized he'd been caught in the act.

Akshavi: "Behaya besharam batameez insaan, sharam nahi aati apni hi bestieee ka ghar ujaad raha hai??"

(You shameless, disrespectful, uncouth person! Aren’t you ashamed of trying to ruin your own bestie’s household?)

Rishwik and Ashvik both turned their heads in shock, their eyes widening as they saw Akshavi.

Rishwik: "Kaan chod pehle."

(Let go of my ear first!)

Akshavi released her grip on Rishwik’s ears but continued to glare at him, her eyes narrowed in disapproval.cccc

Rishwik: "Aur ye ghar kab ujada maine??"

(And how did I ruin a household, huh?)

Ashvik: "Pehle ghar basa toh lo shavi."

(First, let the household actually be established, Shavi)

Akshavi: "Areh Sugarpiee, ab ye aapka bank account hack karega toh aage chal ke humare bachcho ke kharche kaise niklenge?? Unki school ki fees, kapde khana pina sab hume hi dekhna hai na."

(Hey, Sugarpie! If he hacks your bank account now, how will we afford our kids' expenses in the future? Their school fees, clothes, food—everything is our responsibility, isn’t it?)

Ashvik's eyes widened in disbelief as Rishwik gave him a mischievous smirk, clearly enjoying the situation. Rishwik then nudged Ashvik's shoulder playfully, as if to mock his shocked expression.

Rishwik: "Lagta hai bahaut jald hi main chachu ban jaunga."

(Looks like I’ll be an uncle very soon)

Akshavi: "Haa ye mujhse shadi kar le bas phir 9 mahine me, tera promotion pakka."

(Yes, let him marry me first. Then in 9 months, your promotion as an uncle is guaranteed.)

Rishwik: "Done"

Rishwik and Akshavi exchanged a triumphant high five. Ashvik, still in disbelief, watched them with his mouth slightly open, unable to comprehend how easily they had turned the tables on him.

Ashvik: "Kaisi pagal se pyaar kiya hai maine"

(What kind of crazy person have I fallen in love with?)

Ashvik murmured under his breath, his voice laced with disbelief and a hint of annoyance.

Akshavi: "Kya kaha aapne??"

(What did you say?)

Ashvik: "Shadi huyi nahi hai abhi, tum kaha itna aage ka soch rahi ho??"

(We’re not even married yet, and you’re already thinking so far ahead?)

Akshavi: "Nahi huyi toh ho jayega, aakhir karwachauth ka vrat rakha hai maine."

(If we’re not married yet, we will be. After all, I’ve kept a Karwa Chauth fast for you.)

Rishwik looked at her in shock, his expression quickly shifting to concern. He placed his hand on her forehead to check her temperature.

Akshavi: "Kya kar rah hai??"

(What are you doing?)

Rishwik: "Tu thik hai Akshu??"

(Are you okay, Akshu?)

Akshavi gave a confused look, her eyebrows furrowing.

Rishwik: "Din bhar khati rehti hai, aur aaj vrat."

(You eat all day, and now you’ve kept a fast?)

Akshavi: "Ha toh ab main apne sugarpieee ke liye itna toh karungi na."

(Yes, because I’ll do at least this much for my Sugarpie.)

Akshavi gave a shy smile, her cheeks tinting pink as she held Ashvik's hand gently, tracing her fingers along his biceps. The intimate gesture didn't go unnoticed by Rishwik, who raised an eyebrow and smirked at the pair, clearly enjoying the moment.

Rishwik: "Achcha tabhi Ashvik bhai bhi subah se kuch nahi kha rahe hai."

(Oh, so that’s why Ashvik Bhai hasn’t eaten anything since morning either!)

Akshavi's eyes sparkled with excitement as she looked at Ashvik, her gaze full of affection. Ashvik, clearly flustered, turned his head to the side, trying to avoid her gaze, but his lips couldn't help but curl into a faint smile. Akshavi, noticing his discomfort, smiled playfully.

Akshavi: "Thank you."

Ashvik smiled warmly and gently kissed Akshavi's forehead, a tender gesture that made her cheeks flush. Rishwik, feeling like a third wheel, cleared his throat loudly to grab their attention. Instantly, both Ashvik and Akshavi turned their heads, glaring at him in unison, their expressions a mix of playful annoyance.

Rishwik: "Ghuroo mat mujhe, Akshu ko Angel se milane laye ho toh vo karo na, Romance baad me karna."

(Stop glaring at me. If you brought Akshu here to meet Angel, then do that. Romance later.)

Ashvik rolled his eyes, while Akshavi, not missing a beat, playfully punched Rishwik in the stomach. Rishwik let out a small grunt from the surprise of the punch but quickly regained his composure, rubbing his stomach as he shot Akshavi a mock glare.

Ashvik: "Tedddyyyyy, bachcha nichee aana toh."

(Teddy, kiddo, come downstairs, will you?)
