"Tumhe paane ki toh kabhi

Chahat bhi nahi thi

Par tumse pehle is dil me kabhi

Rahat bhi nahi thi"

-fictionflare_

Rudraksh descended the stairs and immediately noticed the somber mood in the living room. Kartavya, Ashvik, Rishwik, and Amandeep sat in silence, their faces heavy with worry and tension. Without a word, Rudraksh moved towards them, his gaze soft but tired, and took a seat beside Rishwik. His presence alone was enough to draw their attention, but no one spoke immediately, sensing the weight of everything that had just transpired.

Ashvik: "She remembers everything, right?"

Rudraksh glanced at Ashvik, his brows furrowed in confusion. The others, noticing the shift in his gaze, also turned their attention toward Ashvik, sharing the same puzzled expressions.

Rudraksh: "How do you... I mean..."

Ashvik: "I don't call her sister for namesake, uski muskaan aakhon tak nahi pohch rahi thi, itna toh dekh hi sakta hu main."

(I don't call her my sister just for namesake. Her smile didn’t reach her eyes. I could at least see that much.)

Kartavya: "Whatt??? Toh Ruhi ne bataya kyu nahi kuch???"

(What??? Then why didn’t Ruhi say anything??)

Rudraksh: "Kisi ko pareshan nahi karna chahti thi."

(She didn’t want to trouble anyone.)

Kartavya: "What nonsense?? Ab thik hai vo??"

(What nonsense? Is she okay now?)

Rudraksh: "Hmm so Rahi hai."

(Hmm, she's resting.)

The room fell into an even deeper silence. Rudraksh glanced at Rishwik, who had been eerily quiet since he'd sat down. His younger brother was staring at the floor, completely still, but the tension in his body was unmistakable. Rudraksh noticed Rishwik’s knuckles turning white as he clenched his fists tightly, the silent turmoil evident in his posture.

Rudraksh: "Rishwik??"

Rishwik: "Kyu nahi bataya aapne Bhai??"

(Why didn’t you tell me, brother?)

Rudraksh: "Kya nahi bataya??"

(Tell you what?)

Rishwik: "Us Sachet Rathore ne kya kya kiya hai meri Angel ke sath, Angel ke sath kya kya hua hai kyu nahi bataya??"

(What that Sachet Rathore did to my Angel, all that happened to her—why didn’t you tell me?)

Rudraksh’s eyes moved from Rishwik to Kartavya, searching for some kind of explanation , Kartavya met his gaze.

Kartavya: "Bhai bolti hai na vo in sabko, Inka haq tha Janna ki kyu hichkicha rahi thi vo pehle."

(She calls them brother, doesn’t she? They had the right to know, why were she hesitant?)

Rudraksh let out a heavy sigh, the weight of the moment pressing down on him. His shoulders dropped slightly as if releasing some of the tension he'd been holding inside.

Rishwik: "Bhai main chodunga nahi us Rathore family ko. I can’t wait anymore. I’ll shoot them right between their heads with my bare hands. How dare they think such things about my Angel?"

(Brother, I won’t let that Rathore family get away with this.)

Rishwik abruptly stood up, his anger boiling over as he clenched his fists. The sudden movement caught the attention of Ashvik and Amandeep, who instinctively rose to their feet in to support Rishwik.

Rudraksh: "Stopppp"

All stopped and their eyes turned to Rudraksh, the room fell into a heavy silence, waiting for him to respond. Rudraksh could feel the weight of their gazes upon him.

Rishwik: "Bhai kyu???"

(Brother, why??)

Rudraksh: "Isi gusse ki vajah se nahi bataya tha. Ruhh ko zarurat hai abhi humari, is tarah se impulsive hoke decisions lene lage toh kaise chalega. There are still things we don’t know, and only Ruhi can tell us. So we need to understand and wait for the right moment."

(This is exactly why I didn’t tell you. Ruhi needs us right now. If we start making impulsive decisions out of anger, how will that help?)

Ashvik: "Right moment? What do you mean by that? You even asked me to hold off on destroying Vijaypratap. What exactly are you planning? Will you please tell us?"

Rudraksh: "Sab batata hu, pehle baitho Shanti se."

(I’ll explain everything. First, let’s sit down calmly.)

Amandeep: "Sir, I know whatever Ashvik Sir and Rishwik Sir are saying is right. Those filthy people deserve punishment for ruining Ruhi’s life."

Rudraksh: "And what do you all think? That I don’t want the same thing? If it weren’t for Ruhi’s mental health, I would have buried them six feet underground by now."

Rishwik: "Bhai, then what are you waiting for? Angel ka birthday hai kal. What if Vijaypratap tries something?"

(It’s Angel’s birthday tomorrow)

Ashvik: "I hope you’re aware that Vijaypratap is trying every possible way to reach Teddy."

Rudraksh: "I know everything, and there’s no chance he’ll get to my Ruhi."

Kartavya: "What are you planning?"

Rudraksh smirked, the weight of the moment lightening just a bit as he motioned for everyone to settle down. As he opened his mouth to say something, a soft jingling sound caught his attention. He turned to see Ruhanika gracefully descending the stairs, her anklets chiming with each step. Without a second thought, he quickly made his way toward her, reaching out to grasp her hand gently.

Rudraksh: "Sohneyo Kya hua niche kyu aa gayi?? Kahi pain hai?? Kuch chahiye?? Bhookh lagi hai??"

(Sweetheart What happened? Why did you come downstairs? Are you in pain? Do you need something? Are you hungry?)

Rudraksh, filled with concern and curiosity, began firing off a barrage of questions, each one more pressing than the last. Each time Ruhanika attempted to respond, he cut her off with yet another inquiry, leaving her overwhelmed. In a moment of playful frustration, Ruhanika facepalmed herself, then gently placed her hand over Rudraksh's mouth to silence him. His eyes widened in surprise at her soft touch, a mixture of shock and delight flashing across his face as he realized how much her gesture affected him.

Ruhanika: "Humari baat toh sun lijiye aap."

(Will you listen to me first?)

She slowly removed her hand from his mouth.

Rudraksh: "Aap hi ki toh sunta Sohneyo."

(I always listen to you, darling.)

Rudraksh muttered softly under his breath, and Ruhanika didn’t hear him.

Ruhanika: "Jiii??"

(What??)

Rudraksh: "kuch nahi, niche kyu aayi??"

(Nothing, why did you come downstairs?)

Ruhanika: "Vo humari nind khul gayi, aur humesha ki tarah aap pass nahi the, isiliye niche aa gaye hum."

(I woke up, and like always, you weren’t by my side, so I came down.)

Rudraksh: "Ohh no, so sorry betu, tumhe bure sapne aaye??"

(Oh no, I’m so sorry, sweetheart. Did you have bad dreams?)

Rudraksh gently cupped Ruhanika's cheeks, his eyes soft with concern, and asked, Ruhanika smiled warmly at him, her heart melting at his tenderness.

Ruhanika: "Areh nahi, hume vo akele ajeeb lag raha tha isiliye niche aa gaye."

(No, I was just feeling weird being alone, so I came downstairs.)

Rudraksh let out a sigh of relief as he withdrew his hand, feeling a wave of comfort wash over him. Ruhanika smiled back at him, appreciating his concern. Unable to resist, he playfully poked her dimples, causing her to giggle, and the sound brightened the atmosphere around them.

Kartavya: "Agar Prem prasang ho gaya ho toh yaha bhi aa jao."

(If your romantic moment is over, can you join us here?)

Rudraksh glanced back at the others while Ruhanika leaned her head on his shoulder, her curious gaze. She stood on the stairs, her hands resting on Rudraksh's shoulders, tilting her head to get a better look at everyone who was smiling warmly at them. With gentle guidance, Rudraksh helped her descend the remaining steps, his hand protectively resting on her shoulder as they made their way toward the group.  Once they reached the bottom, Ruhanika turned to Kartavya, and bent down to touch his feet in a traditional gesture of reverence. However, Kartavya swiftly intervened, placing his hands on her shoulders to prevent her from bending too low. He helped her stand upright, a warm smile gracing his face as he appreciated her gesture, but insisted she didn't need to do that.

Kartavya: "Ye kya kar rahi ho tum Ruhi??"

(What are you doing, Ruhi?)

Ruhanika: "Inke bade bhai, aap bade hai na isiliye aapka ashirwad le rahe hai, maaf kijiyega hum vo uper kar nahi paaye."

(You’re his elder brother, right? So I’m taking your blessings. Sorry I couldn’t do it earlier.)

Everyone gazed at her with admiration, their expressions filled with warmth and appreciation. Kartavya smiled affectionately at her, gently placing his hand on her head in a protective and caring gesture.

Kartavya: "No need Kiddo, jaise Rishwik, Ashvik and Amandeep ko bhai maanti ho vaise mujhe bhi manogi kya??? Aur kabhi Rudraksh tumhe pareshan kare toh mujhe batana main pitai karunga iski."

(No need, Kiddo. Just like you consider Rishwik, Ashvik, and Amandeep as brothers, will you consider me too? And if Rudraksh ever troubles you, let me know, and I’ll beat him up.)

Ruhanika's expression shifted as she pouted sadly, lowering her head in a gesture of disappointment.

Ruhanika: "Nahi, hum inki shikayat nahi lagayenge, aap mat pitao karna inki, ye achche hai bahaut."

(No, I won’t complain about him. Please don’t beat him up, he’s very good to me.)

Kartavya smiled, appreciating her concern for Rudraksh and the others, fully aware of how much she cherished Rudraksh.

Kartavya: "Achcha thik hai, par mere pair chune ki zarurat nahi hai, humare yaha Ladkiya pair nhi chuti."

(Okay, fine. But there’s no need to touch my feet. In our family, girls don’t touch feet.)

Ruhanika smiled at him before stepping back to stand beside Rudraksh again.

Ruhanika: "Inke bade bhai, aap kya khayenge, kya hum aapke chai nashta leke aaye??"

(His Elder brother, what would you like to eat? Shall I bring you some tea and snacks?)

Kartavya: "It's already lunch time kiddo, also ye inke bade bhai kya hai?? Baakio ko toh aise nahi bulati."

(It’s already lunchtime, Kiddo. And why are you calling me 'his elder brother'? You don’t call the others like that.)

Rishwik walked over to Ruhanika and gently rested his hand on her shoulder, he looked at her with a warm smile.

Rishwik: "Pucho mat bhai, badi mehnat se isne hum sabko bhai bola hai, Varna mujhe bhi inke Bhai kehti thi."

(Don’t ask, brother. After a lot of effort, she finally started calling us brothers. Otherwise, she used to call me 'his brother.')

Ashvik: "Mujhe toh inke dost."

(And me, 'his friend.')

Amandeep: "Aur mujhe toh Inke PA."

(And me, 'his PA.')

Kartavya let out a chuckle, and soon everyone joined in with soft giggles. Rudraksh smiled warmly at the lighthearted atmosphere, while Ruhanika turned to him, her brows furrowed in confusion. She tilted her head slightly, trying to understand what was so amusing, her innocent curiosity shining through.

Ruhanika: "Kya hume aise nahi bolna hai??"

(Am I not supposed to say it like that?)

Rudraksh smiled fondly at Ruhanika and gently patted her cheeks.

Rudraksh: "Kuch nahi ye log bas mazaak kar rahe hai, tum na Kartavya bhai ko bas Bhai bolo."

(Don’t mind them. They’re just teasing. You can just call Kartavya 'brother.')

Ruhanika glanced around at everyone, her eyes darting from one face to another, taking in the playful atmosphere. She then pouted, her lips forming a cute, exaggerated frown that expressed her slight annoyance at being the center of attention.

Rudraksh: "kya hua??"

(What’s wrong?)

Ruhanika: "Ye sab humesha humse mazaak karte hai aur haste hai. Aur hum aapke bade bhai ko sirf bhai bole?? Vo toh bade hai na."

(They’re always teasing me and laughing at me. And I should only call your elder brother 'brother'? But he’s elder, right?)

Ashvik stepped forward with a mischievous grin, playfully ruffling Ruhanika's hair with his hand.

Ashvik: "Teddy, hum mazaak karte hai kyuki hum sab bahaut pyaar karte hai na tumse aur family me toh mazaak Masti honi hi chahiye na."

(Teddy, we tease you because we love you so much. There should always be some fun and mischief in the family, right?)

Ruhanika: "Achcha, toh hume bhi mazaak Masti karni chahiye??"

(Oh, so I should also join in on the fun?)

Ashvik: "Haa haa kyu nahi, kya tum hum sabko parivar nahi manti???"

(Yes, of course. Don’t you consider us family?)

Ruhanika nodded in agreement, her smile radiating warmth. After a moment, her gaze shifted towards Kartavya, curiosity gleaming in her eyes.

Ruhanika: "hum mante hai aap sabko parivaar, aur Kya hum aapko bhai sa bula sakte hai?? Humare yaha bade bhai ko yahi kehte hai."

(I do consider you all family. Can I call you 'brother' too? That’s what we call elder brothers in our family.)

Kartavya: "Tum jo chahe bula sakti ho little sunshine."

(You can call me whatever you want, Little Sunshine.)

Ruhanika grinned widely, her eyes sparkling with joy as Rudraksh playfully poked her dimples, eliciting a soft giggle from her. Just as the others were about to tease him for his affectionate gesture, Kartavya's stomach growled loudly, breaking the moment and shifting everyone's attention. The unexpected sound echoed through the room, prompting a wave of laughter that swept through the group, including Ruhanika, whose laughter mingled with the others.

Kartavya: "Haste kya ho besharam log, itni dur se aaya hu bhookh toh lagegi hi na, ek glass pani tak toh pucha nahi aur has rahe hai."

(Why are you all laughing, you shameless people? I came all the way here, I’m obviously hungry. You didn’t even offer me a glass of water, and you’re laughing.)

Kartavya shot a glare at everyone, his eyes narrowing in mock irritation, but none of them stopped giggling—except for Ruhanika. Ruhanika stepped forward, her expression softening as she positioned herself in front of Kartavya.

Ruhanika: "Maaf kijiyega bhai sa hume aap pe hasna nahi chahiye, aaiye humne Aaj inki pasand ka khana banaya hai, aapko bhi dete hai humare sath chaliye."

(I’m sorry, Brother. I shouldn’t have laughed at you. Come on, I made his favorite food today. I’ll serve you too.)

Kartavya reached out playfully and tugged at Ruhanika's cheeks, a wide grin spreading across his face.

Kartavya: "Ek hi samajhdar ladki hai is ghar me baaki sab ke sab nalayak hai."

(The only sensible person in this house is this girl. The rest are all useless.)

Ruhanika: "Ji bhai sa hum ek hi ladki hai Ghar me, baaki sab toh ladke hai na."

(Yes, Brother. I’m the only girl in this house. The rest are all boys.)

Kartavya chuckled at Ruhanika's innocence, a warm smile on his face as he gently turned her around, placing a reassuring hand on her shoulder as he began to lead her toward the dining area.

Kartavya: "Chalo Little sunshine, main tumhe kuch batata hu."

(Come on, Little Sunshine. I’ll tell you something.)

As Kartavya and Ruhanika made their way toward the dining area, the rest of the group watched them with amused expressions. Rishwik amused exchanged glances with Ashvik and Amandeep.

Rishwik: "Mere itne mehnat karne ke baad Angel me mujhe Bhai bola tha, aur Kartavya bhai aate hi use apni team karna chahte hai."

(After all my hard work, Angel finally called me 'brother,' and now Kartavya bhai wants to win her over as soon as he arrives.)

Ashvik: "Karna chahte nahi hai Rishi, kar liya hai jabki uske liye kapde toh main leke aaya tha."

(He doesn’t want to. He already has. And to think I was the one who brought clothes for her.)

Amandeep: "Rakhi hume bandhi, aur khana Kartavya sir ko khilayegi Ruhi."

(She tied me a rakhi, and now she’s serving food to Kartavya Sir.)

The three of them were engaged in a lively conversation, their voices intertwining with laughter and playful banter. Suddenly, Ashvik's gaze shifted to Rudraksh, who seemed miles away, lost in a world of his own. Curious, Ashvik nudged Rishwik’s hand and subtly gestured toward Rudraksh, who was intently watching Ruhanika. She was busily serving Kartavya, her graceful movements captivating Rudraksh. The way she smiled and interacted with everyone seemed to create a bubble around her, drawing in Rudraksh’s full attention. Rishwik followed Ashvik’s gaze and chuckled softly at the sight.

Rishwik: "Bhai aapko bhi jalan huyi na??"

(Brother, you’re jealous too, aren’t you?)

Rudraksh: "usne mere liye meri pasand ka khana banaya."

(She made my favorite food for me.)

Ashvik: "Tune bas yahi suna??"

(That’s all you heard?)

Rudraksh remained oblivious to the playful exchanges around him, his gaze still fixed on Ruhanika, who was animatedly chatting with Kartavya. Meanwhile, Rishwik, Ashvik, and Amandeep exchanged exasperated looks and facepalmed in unison, their expressions a mix of amusement and disbelief at Rudraksh’s infatuation.

They all made their way to the dining area. Once they reached the dining table, they settled into their seats.

Ruhanika: "hum aap sabko bhi paroste hai."

(I’ll serve food to all of you too.)

Kartavya: "Ye sab log le lenge little sunshine, Tum baitho aur Khao. Kitni weak lag rahi ho tum."

(They’ll all take it themselves, Little Sunshine. You sit down and eat. You’re looking so weak.)

Kartavya guided Ruhanika to her seat, gently ushering her to sit beside Rudraksh, effectively placing her between him and himself.

Rishwik: "Ashvik bhai, dekha aapne khud ko Angel ke hath se khana liya, humari baari aayi toh khud le lenge hum."

(Ashvik Bhai, did you see that? He accepted food from Angel, but when it’s our turn, we have to serve ourselves.)

Ashvik: "Bade hai, dhaus jamane ke alawa karte kya hai??"

(He’s elder. What else does he do besides boss us around?)

Rishwik and Ashvik exchanged pointed looks, their expressions a mix of annoyance and disbelief as they glared at Kartavya. The latter, fully aware of their piercing stares, chose to brush it off with a casual nonchalance, focusing instead on Ruhanika and the unfolding conversations at the table. Ruhanika noticed the tension between them and turned her head, her brows furrowing in confusion.

Ruhanika: "Rishi Bhai, Ashu bhai, aap dono bhai sa ko aise kyu dekh rahe hai??"

(Rishi Bhai, Ashu Bhai, why are you both looking at Brother like that?)

Kartavya: "Jalte hai dono mujhse little sunshine, main zyada handsome hu na in dono se."

(They’re jealous of me, Little Sunshine, because I’m more handsome than both of them.)

Ruhanika let out a soft giggle, Rishwik and Ashvik’s eyes widened in surprise, their expressions a mix of disbelief and delight.

Rishwik: "Angel, vaise tumhe kuch samajh nahi aata lekin kisi ko roast kare toh vo tum samajh jaati ho."

(Angel, you don’t understand anything, but when it comes to roasting someone, you understand that perfectly.)

Ruhanika glanced at him with a puzzled expression.

Ruhanika: "Kisi ko roast?? Koi bhi kisi ko roast kyu karega Bhai?? Tawe pe dalte hi jal nahi jayenge??"

(Roasting someone? Why would anyone roast someone, Brother? Wouldn’t they burn as soon as you put them on the griddle?)

Rishwik sighed dramatically and face-palmed himself.

Ashvik: "Hence proved."

Ruhanika: "Kya bhai??"

(What, Brother?)

Ashvik: "Teddy, tum khana Khao, vahi thik hai."

(Teddy, just eat your food. That’s better.)

Ruhanika nodded in agreement, her expression brightening. As her gaze shifted to Rudraksh, she noticed him gazing at her intently. A warm smile spread across her face, showcasing her adorable dimples.

Ruhanika: "Hum paros de aapko??"

(Should I serve you?)

Rudraksh blinked absentmindedly, caught in a moment of admiration as he watched Ruhanika. She began serving him with a gentle smile, her movements graceful and focused. The realization that she had taken the time and effort to prepare his favorite dish filled him with warmth. It was a small gesture, but it meant the world to him, and the thought of her cooking just for him was overwhelmingly touching. As he gazed at her, his heart swelled with appreciation and love, making the meal feel even more special.

Amandeep: "Areh Ruhi, tumhari plate kaha hai??"

(Ruhi, where’s your plate?)

Ruhanika: "Hum toh inhi ke sath khate hai, yehi hume khilate hai."

(I eat with him. He always feeds me.)

Kartavya, caught mid-bite, suddenly erupted into a fit of coughing. His eyes widened in surprise as he struggled to catch his breath, prompting Ashvik and Rishwik to stifle their laughter. They exchanged knowing glances, well aware of the reason behind his unexpected reaction. But Rudraksh remained blissfully oblivious, still lost in his admiration for Ruhanika. Meanwhile, Ruhanika's expression shifted from concern to alarm as she quickly noticed Kartavya's distress. She quickly handed him a glass of water and gently patted his back, trying to ease his discomfort. Kartavya gratefully gulped down the water, his eyes darting between Ruhanika and Rudraksh, still in shock at how deeply immersed Rudraksh was in his own world. As the coughing subsided, Kartavya shot a bewildered look at Rudraksh, who remained completely unaware of the commotion around him. Ruhanika's caring nature only seemed to amplify the intensity of Rudraksh's gaze, leaving Kartavya momentarily speechless at the sight of his normally stoic friend displaying such tenderness for a girl.

Kartavya: "Little sunshine, tumne abhi kya kaha??"

(Little Sunshine, what did you just say?)

Ruhanika: "Jii??"

(What??)

Kartavya: "Tumhe kon khilata hai??"

(Who feeds you?)

Ruhanika: "ye khilate hai"

(He feeds me.)

Kartavya: "Apne hath se??"

(With his hands?)

Ruhanika: "Jii, vo hume chot lagi thi na tab se yehi hume khilate hai. Aur hume bhi aadat lag gayi aap gussa nahi kijiyega hum ab khud kha lenge, hum abhi apni thali lagate hai."

(Yes, ever since I got hurt, he’s been feeding me. And now I’m used to it. Please don’t be mad. I’ll start eating by myself now. I’ll get my plate.)

Rudraksh: "Noooooo"

Rudraksh shouted immediately, his voice cutting through the air like a sudden clap of thunder. Kartavya's eyes widened in shock, his expression frozen in disbelief as he processed Rudraksh's reaction.

Kartavya: "Ki tu oh hi munda hai jinu jhootha khana pasand nahi hai?"

(Ohh, you’re that guy who doesn’t like eating leftovers?)

Rishwik: "Arey veere, tusi samjo jeh gal oudi Votti di hove, taan gall hi wakhri hai!"

(Brother, if it’s about his wife, then it’s a different story!)

Kartavya: "Dikha taan raha hai oh!"

(Clearly, it is!)

Ruhanika, caught in the whirlwind of emotions around her, furrowed her brows in confusion. Her gaze darted between Rudraksh and Kartavya, trying to decipher the sudden shift in the mood. She looked up at Rudraksh.

Ruhanika: "Areh, aap kha kyu nahi rahe hai?? Hum khila de kya??"

(Why aren’t you eating? Should I feed you?)

Kartavya, Ashvik, Rishwik, Amandeep: "Haa haaa khilaa do na Rudraksh ki Ruuhhhhhh"

(Yes, yes! Feed Rudraksh's Ruhhhh.)

The four of them burst into laughter, playfully teasing Rudraksh, who had finally emerged from his fantasy land. He rolled his eyes in mock annoyance at their antics, a slight smile tugging at his lips despite himself. Amidst the giggles, Ruhanika pouted, clearly confused by the collective amusement. Not wanting to be left out, she tugged at Rudraksh's sleeve, trying to catch his attention. He turned to her, raising his eyebrows in curiosity. Ruhanika gestured for him to lean closer. Intrigued, Rudraksh obliged, bending down so that she could whisper in his ear.

Ruhanika: "Hum kuch samajh nahi paate, ye sab kyu has rahe hai??"

(I don’t understand. Why are they all laughing?)

Ruhanika leaned in and whispered her question, her voice barely audible above the laughter. However, Rudraksh's attention was diverted as he shot a glare at the others, annoyance etched across his face.

Rudraksh: "Kyuki saree pagal hai yaha, dhyaan mat do in logo pe. Aao main khilata hu tumhe."

(Because everyone here is crazy. Don’t pay attention to them. Come on, I’ll feed)

Kartavya, Rishwik, Ashvik, Amandeep: "Haa haa jaoo jaao, Ruhh ko Khilao Rudrakshhhhh."

(Yeah yeah, feed her)

The four of them chimed in unison again, their teasing tone echoing in the air. Ruhanika, interpreting their playful banter as an invitation for Rudraksh to feed her, beamed at them with a smile that lit up her face. Her innocent misunderstanding only deepened the admiration on everyone’s faces, and they couldn’t help but make playful expressions, clearly entertained by her adorable confusion. However, Rudraksh's gaze shifted to the food on his plate, and in an instant, the joy that had been blooming in his heart vanished. Ruhanika, noticing the abrupt change in his demeanor, looked up at him with concern.

Ruhanika: "Kya hua?? Pasand nahi aaya aapko?? Kya ye achcha nahi hai??"

(What happened? You didn’t like it? Is it not good?)

Kartavya: "It's so yummy little sunshine, I just loved it. Tum toh chef ho yaar itna achcha khana kon banata hai."

(It's so yummy, little sunshine. I just loved it. You're a chef! Who makes such good food?)

Ruhanika: "Areh hum banate hai, humne bataya toh ki humne banaya hai toh aap kyu puch rahe hai kon banata hai???"

(Oh, I made it! I told you I made it, so why are you asking who made it?)

Kartavya glanced at Ruhanika for a moment, amusement dancing in his eyes. A chuckle escaped his lips as he found her innocence endearing. Without a second thought, he reached out and playfully tugged at her cheeks.

Kartavya: "Offo, tusi yaar kinne zyada masoom ho, putt."

(Oh, you're so innocent, my dear!)

Ruhanika: "Jiiii"

(What?)

Kartavya smiled warmly and affectionately patted Ruhanika on the head, which made her smile even brighter. She turned her gaze back to Rudraksh, only to find him glaring at Rishwik, an intense look of irritation etched across his features. Before Ruhanika could interject or ask what was wrong, Rishwik, sensing the brewing storm, jumped up and dashed away from the table, his footsteps hurried and frantic. Without missing a beat, Rudraksh sprang into action, a determined glint in his eyes as he took off after Rishwik, eager to confront him.

Ashvik, Amandeep, and Kartavya erupted into laughter, their amusement filling the room as they watched Rudraksh and Rishwik race through the living area. Ruhanika, however, was left in a state of confusion, glancing from one man to another. She tilted her head in bewilderment, trying to understand the source of their laughter. Her gaze landed on Kartavya, who was doubled over with laughter, pointing at the two brothers as they darted around like tom and jerry.

Ruhanika: "Bhai saa??"

(Brother?)

Kartavya: "Dasso bhai sa ki little sunshine."

(Tell me, little sunshine.)

Ruhanika: "Aap sab has kyu rahe hai, aur ye aur Rishi Bhai bhaage kyu??"

(Why is everyone laughing? And why did Rishi Bhai run away?)

Kartavya, Amandeep, and Ashvik exchanged amused glances, their smiles widening as they watched Ruhanika's adorable confusion unfold. Her innocent expression, filled with curiosity and uncertainty, was endearing. They couldn’t help but find humor in the way she furrowed her brows and tilted her head, trying to piece together the playful banter swirling around her.

Ashvik: "kyuki teddy, Rishwik ne buddhu banaya tumhe, ye sab khana Rudraksh ka nahi Rishwik ka favourite hai."

(Because, Teddy, Rishwik tricked you. This food isn't Rudraksh's favorite; it's Rishwik's favorite.)

Ruhanika's initial shock registered on her face, her eyes widening in disbelief at Kartavya's words. However, the surprise quickly gave way to tears, and she lowered her head, unable to hold back her emotions. The three men present—Kartavya, Amandeep, and Ashvik—exchanged worried glances, their expressions shifting from confusion to concern.

Kartavya: "Rudrakshhh, jaldi aa, little sunshine ro ne lagi."

(Rudraksh, come here quickly. Little Sunshine is crying.)

Both Rishwik and Rudraksh rushed to Ruhanika's side, concern etched on their faces. Rudraksh quickly knelt down in front of her, his gaze filled with worry. He gently wiped away her tears, his fingers brushing softly against her cheeks as he tried to soothe her.

Rudraksh: "kya hua betu, tum kyu Rahi ho"

(What happened, sweetheart? Why are you crying?)

Ruhanika: " humne aapse keh diya ki aapka manpasand khana banaya hai par ye sab toh Rishi Bhai ki pasand ka hai."

(I told you I made your favorite food, but it turns out this is all Rishi Bhai's favorite.)

Rudraksh: "Toh jaana, isme aapki kya galti hai, vo toh is gadhe ne aapko galat bataya na."

(So what? It’s not your fault; it was that idiot who gave you the wrong information.)

Ruhanika let out a small whine.

Ruhanika: "Phir se jaanaa, areh bataiye toh sahi hum kaha jaye??? Har waqt hume jaana kehte hai aap."

(Again with the ‘goo’? Tell me, where exactly should I go? You always tell me to ‘go somewhere.’)

She let out another whine, and the others couldn't help but laugh at her innocence.

Kartavya: "Sahi piece laya hai Rudraksh."

(You’ve brought the perfect match for yourself, Rudraksh.)

Rudraksh responded with a warm smile, but Rishwik's expression quickly changed when he caught sight of Ruhanika glaring at him, her pout clearly indicating her displeasure. Realizing he needed to make amends, he quickly dropped to his knees beside Rudraksh, positioning himself directly in front of Ruhanika. With a playful yet apologetic gesture, he held his ears.

Rishwik: "So sorry Angel, tum naraz nahi hona aur gussa nahi karna. Main dobara nahi karunga aisa mazaak."

(I'm so sorry, Angel. Don’t be upset or angry. I won’t play such tricks again.)

Ruhanika: "Hum naraz ya gussa nahi hai, hume nahi aata vo karna, bataya tha na."

(I’m neither upset nor angry. I don't know how to be.)

Rishwik: "Toh mujhe aise ghoor kyu Rahi thi??"

(Then why were you glaring at me like that?)

Ruhanika: "Vo toh hum bas bata rahe the ki hume aapki harkat pasand nahi aayi."

(I was just trying to show that I didn’t like what you did.)

Rishwik couldn’t help but chuckle along with the others at the sight of Ruhanika’s serious expression. As a playful gesture, he reached out and ruffled her hair.

Rishwik: "Oh my innocent putt, isnu hi taan naraz te gussa hona kehnde ne!"

(Oh, my innocent dear! That’s what being upset or angry means!)

Ruhanika: "Jii kya??"

(What?)

Rishwik simply shook his head in disbelief at the cute exchange, while Rudraksh watched Ruhanika with a gaze full of admiration. He couldn’t help but appreciate her innocence and the way her smile lit up the room.

Kartavya: "Eh vekh ke kinni changi lagdi hai gall ki do munde, jo kade uparwale agge nahi jhukke, oh ajj ik kudi de samne ghutne te baith ke use mana rahe ne."

(Look at this scene. Two guys who never bowed before anyone are now kneeling in front of one girl, trying to make her happy.)

Ruhanika: "Bhai sa, aap sab kya kehte hai hum samajh kyu nahi paate??"

(Brother, why don’t I understand anything you all say?)

Kartavya let out a soft chuckle, clearly amused by the playful interaction. Meanwhile, Rishwik stood up, shaking his head with a smile.

Rishwik: "Vo chodo tum Angel, bhai ye sab khana bhi pasand hai. Tum chalo Khao subah se aise hi ghum Rahi ho."

(Never mind, Angel. Brother likes this food too. Come on, let’s eat. You’ve been wandering around since morning.)

Rudraksh sprang to his feet immediately.

Rudraksh: "Kyaaa??? Betu tumne khaya nahi subah se kuch??"

(What?? Sweetheart, you haven’t eaten anything since morning?)

Ruhanika: "Vo hum aapka intezar kar rahe the."

(I was waiting for you.)

Rudraksh: "Hadd karti ho yaar, chalo Khilata hu ab."

(too much! Come on, I’ll feed you now.)

He settled back into his seat, and the others took their places at the dining table. Rudraksh began to feed both Ruhanika and himself, exchanging bites with her while the rest of the group enjoyed their meals. The atmosphere was filled with laughter and playful banter, creating a warm and cheerful environment. As the conversation flowed, Ruhanika grew increasingly comfortable among them, particularly with Kartavya, who was engaging her with light-hearted teasing. Rudraksh watched this transformation with a smile, feeling a surge of happiness that Ruhanika was slowly overcoming her fears. Each shared laugh and moment of connection made him realize just how much progress she was making in feeling at home with them. It was a beautiful sight, one that filled his heart with warmth and pride.

It was midnight, and Rudraksh and Ruhanika were sleeping peacefully. Although they had initially fallen asleep apart, Ruhanika had unknowingly shifted onto Rudraksh during the night. Their sleep, however, was disturbed by a series of knocks at the door. The continuous sound caused Rudraksh to stir awake, and even Ruhanika stirred slightly in her sleep.

Groggy from the disturbance, Rudraksh tried to move, but the moment he looked down, he froze in surprise. Ruhanika was lying sprawled across him, her head resting comfortably on his chest. He blinked, completely taken aback, because every time she shifted onto him at night, he was either in a deep or half-sleep, so he never noticed it. In the mornings, Ruhanika always woke up earlier than him, leaving him with no memory of her being so close. This was the first time he was consciously aware of it, and the sight of her sleeping so peacefully on him made his heart race. For a moment, he forgot about the knocking as he gently gazed at her, still amazed by how natural and comfortable she seemed with him, even in her sleep.

Suddenly, Rudraksh felt his heartbeat quicken as Ruhanika tightened her grip on him, making his already flustered state even worse. Her soft touch and closeness sent a wave of warmth through him, leaving him momentarily overwhelmed. However, the persistent knock on the door interrupted his thoughts, forcing him to regain his composure. With great care, Rudraksh gently shifted Ruhanika back onto the bed, making sure not to wake her. She stirred slightly, missing the warmth of his body, but Rudraksh patted her head softly, and she quickly settled back into her peaceful slumber. He sighed softly, taking a moment to look at her before quietly getting out of bed. Walking toward the door, he opened it to find Kartavya, Amandeep, Ashvik, and Rishwik standing there. Ashvik and Rishwik, in particular, seemed overly excited, practically bouncing on their feet. Rudraksh raised an eyebrow, clearly puzzled as to why they were at his door in the middle of the night.

Rishwik: "Aisa kya kar rahe the jo itna waqt laga darwaza kholne me hmmm hmmm?? Aur ye aap raat me kapde kab se pehenne lage?? 8 packs gayab ho gaye kya??"

(What were you doing that took you so long to open the door, huh? And when did you start wearing clothes at night? Have those eight-pack abs disappeared?)

Ashvik: "Biwi ka khauf"

( The fear of the wife!)

Amandeep: "Biwi itna achcha khana banayegi toh 8 packs nhi family pack aayega"

(If the wife makes such good food, those eight packs will turn into a family pack!)

Rudraksh: "Shut uppp"

Rishwik, Amandeep, and Ashvik couldn’t resist teasing Rudraksh, making playful comments. Rudraksh's face scrunched up in mild annoyance, but his irritation only fueled their amusement. They chuckled at his reaction, knowing exactly how to push his buttons.

Kartavya: "Little Sunshine kaha hai??"

(Where’s Little Sunshine?)

Rudraksh: "Aap logo ko is waqt Ruh se kya kaam hai??"

(What do you guys want from Ruh at this hour?)

Ashvik: "Once an idiot, always an idiot"

Rudraksh threw a sharp, piercing glare at Ashvik, making his intentions clear without uttering a word. Ashvik, who had been laughing just moments ago, immediately clamped his mouth shut

Rishwik: "Bhai batao yaar."

(Brother, tell us, please!)

Rudraksh: "Ullu thodi hai Ruh, ofcourse so Rahi hai."

(Ruh isn’t stupid; of course, she’s sleeping.)

Kartavya: "We want to wish her. Can we come inside?"

Rudraksh glanced at the clock, noticing it was exactly 12 AM. He sighed softly and opened the door completely, gesturing for them to come inside. But before he could fully extend the invitation, Rishwik, with his usual boundless energy, pushed past Rudraksh and darted into the room with excitement. Rudraksh shook his head, a fond yet exasperated smile on his face, used to Rishwik’s playful antics by now. The rest—Kartavya, Amandeep, and Ashvik—followed him inside, their footsteps quiet as they entered. Once inside, they all paused and glanced toward the bed, where Ruhanika lay sleeping peacefully, wrapped snugly in the duvet. Her face was serene, her breath slow and even. The sight of her calm state made the others soften, though the excitement on Ashvik and Rishwik’s faces remained.

Kartavya: "Dekh kya raha hai utha na use."

(What are you staring at? Wake her up.)

Kartavya, with his usual authoritative tone, gave Rudraksh another command. Rudraksh rolled his eyes in response, feeling the weight of his exhaustion. He yawned deeply, clearly tired and somewhat annoyed by Kartavya's constant bossing around since his arrival. Meanwhile, the rest of the group quietly chuckled, finding humor in Rudraksh’s situation. As they all watched him with amused eyes, Rudraksh moved to sit beside Ruhanika. His demeanor softened immediately as he gently caressed her head, running his fingers through her hair with tender care.

Rudraksh: "Ruuhhhh, betu zara uthna toh."

(Ruhhh, sweetheart, please wake up.)

Ashvik: "Yahi Ruhi ki jagah main rehta na toh ye do thappad maar ke uthata mujhe."

(If I were in Ruhi’s place, he would’ve slapped me twice to wake me up.)

Rishwik: "Aapko har jagah khud ko hi dalna hai na Ashvik bhai, aapko bhai ki biwi banni hai kya."

(You always have to insert yourself into every situation, Ashvik Bhai. Do you want to become my brother’s wife or what?)

Both of them exchanged sharp glares.

Kartavya: "Pitna hai dono ko??"

(Should I hit both of them?)

Amandeep: "Haa bhai please aaj toh ho jaye."

(Yes, please! Let’s do it today!)

Rishwik and Ashvik turned their attention to Amandeep, their glares sharp and disapproving.

Ruhanika: "Ummm hmmm"

Ruhanika stirred gently, her eyes fluttering open as she began to wake from her slumber. Rudraksh couldn't help but smile at the sight; his heart swelled with affection. He reached out, tenderly caressing her cheek with his fingers,

Rudraksh: "Ja..I mean Ruhhh, Ruhh uth jao bachcha please."

(Jaa..I mean, Ruhhh, please wake up, sweetheart.)

Ruhanika slowly opened her eyes and, upon seeing Rudraksh, a smile spread across her face, brightening the room. Rudraksh mirrored her smile, his heart warming at the sight of her happiness.

Rudraksh: "Uth jao kuch der ke liye phir vapas so jaana."

(Wake up for a little while, then you can sleep again.)

Ruhanika's brows knitted together in confusion as she adjusted to her surroundings. Rudraksh gently assisted her in sitting up properly. It was only then that Ruhanika's gaze swept across the room, taking in the sight of everyone else gathered around her.

Ruhanika: "Aap sab??"

(All of you?)

Rudraksh took her hand in his, gently caressing it with his thumb.

Rudraksh: "Happy Birthday Ruhh."

She rubbed her eyes to dispel the remnants of sleep, then glanced around the room. Everyone was smiling at her, their expressions filled with warmth and affection.

Ruhanika: "Humara janamdin aa bhi gaya."

(Is it my birthday already?)

Ruhanika glanced at the clock and, upon seeing the time, lowered her head to conceal the tears welling in her eyes. The reality of her circumstances hit her hard, and she fought to hold back the emotions threatening to spill over.

Rudraksh: "Ruhh??"

Everyone's expressions turned tense as they noticed Ruhanika's distress. Rudraksh gently cupped her face in his hands, his thumbs brushing away the tears that streamed down her cheeks.

Rudraksh: "Kya hua??"

(What happened?)

Ruhanika: "Nima ki yaad aa gayi, unke baad kisine kabhi hume janamdin pe shubhkamnaye nahi di, isiliye hum aksar humara janamdin bhul jate hai."

(I remembered Nima. After her, no one ever wished me on my birthday. That’s why I often forget about it.)

Rudraksh felt a sudden pang in his heart as he leaned down and pressed a soft kiss on Ruhanika's forehead. The warmth of the moment enveloped them, and for a brief second, time stood still. However, the tranquil atmosphere was quickly interrupted by the loud coughs of their brothers, drawing attention back to the reality of the situation.

Ashvik approached and settled beside Ruhanika, gently caressing her head in a comforting gesture.

Ashvik: "Oh my teddy, ab vo sab mat socho aur aaj ka din achche se enjoy Karo thik hai??"

(Oh, my Teddy, don’t think about all that now. Enjoy today, okay?)

Ruhanika lowered her head, her gaze shifting downward as she tried to conceal her emotions. The weight of her feelings pressed heavily on her, making it difficult to meet anyone's eyes, even in the warmth of their support.

Ashvik: "Achcha chalo ab mujhse promise Karo ki aaj tum kuch bhi purana nahi sochogi, mere teddy apne bhai ke liye itna karogi please pretty lady??"

(Come on, promise me you won’t think about the past today. Will you do this for your brother, pretty lady?)

Ruhanika managed a faint smile, the corners of her lips lifting ever so slightly as she looked up at them.

Rishwik: "Okay let's start."

Ashvik and Rudraksh rose to their feet, joining the others as they formed a supportive circle around Ruhanika.

Ashvik: "One, two, three .."

All together: "Happy Birthday Princess Ruhhhiiiiiiiiiiii"

Rishwik suddenly burst into action, popping the party poppers right above Ruhanika. Colorful confetti filled the air, cascading down like a shower of joy. Ruhanika's eyes widened in surprise, and an infectious smile spread across her face as she giggled, her laughter ringing like music. The men in the room felt a wave of happiness wash over them, their hearts swelling with joy at seeing her so delighted.

Ruhanika: "Ye kitna man mohak hai, shukriya aap sabka."

(This is so charming. Thank you all so much.)

Kartavya: "Man mohak ye nahi, tum ho little sunshine, aur ab aao cake cut Karo."

(This is not charming; it’s you, little sunshine. Now come, let’s cut the cake.)

Ruhanika: "Kon hum?? Hum kaise, humne kiya nahi hai pehle."

(Who, me? How can I? I’ve never done it before.)

Amandeep: "Nahi kiya toh Karo yaar Ruhi, aao chalo cake cut karo."

(Well, if you haven’t done it, do it now, Ruhi! Come on, let’s cut the cake.)

Kartavya playfully tugged at Ruhanika, gently pulling her down from the bed and making her sit at the edge. Rishwik soon followed, carrying a beautifully adorned tray that held a stunning flower-shaped cake. Its petals were intricately designed, and the words "Angel" were elegantly written on top in a delicate script. Ruhanika’s eyes lit up with joy as she took in the sight of the cake. A radiant smile spread across her face, illuminating the dimly lit room.

Ruhanika: "Ye bahaut achcha hai Rishi Bhai."

(This is really good, Rishi Bhai.)

Rishwik: "Thank you, Angel. Come on now, cut the cake."

Ashvik handed the knife to Ruhanika with an encouraging smile, his eyes gleaming with excitement.

Ashvik: "Here we go, Teddy. Cut it."

Ruhanika smiled at Ashvik but then turned her gaze toward Rudraksh, searching for reassurance. Rudraksh noticed her uncertainty and raised his eyebrows in question, silently asking her what was on her mind.

Ruhanika: "Vo hum ye pehli baar hi kar rahe hai, toh aap aayenge humare sath??"

(This is my first time doing this, so will you come with me?)

Rudraksh smiled warmly at Ruhanika as he settled beside her, gently taking her hand in his. He understood that deep down, she had the strength to do anything, but what she needed most was his unwavering support and reassurance. As they both grasped the knife together, their fingers intertwined, they began cutting the beautifully decorated flower-shaped cake. The sweet aroma wafted through the air, and the rest of the group burst into a cheerful rendition of the birthday song.

All together: "Happy Birthday to you, happy birthday to you

Happy Birthday dear Ruhiii, happy birthday to you"

Everyone erupted into applause, their claps echoing with enthusiasm and joy. Ruhanika, unable to contain her happiness any longer, joined in the clapping, a wide grin spreading across her face. Her eyes sparkled with unshed tears of joy, glistening like stars in the night sky.

Rudraksh: "Khabardar jo ek aasu bhi gira tumhari aakhon se, jab dekho Rona hai tumhe, betu khushi ka din hai na."

(If even one tear falls from your eyes, I swear—why are you always crying? It's a happy day, sweetheart.)

Ruhanika: "Din??? Par abhi toh raat hai."

(Day?? But it’s night now.)

All around, laughter bubbled up, filling the room with warmth and light. Rudraksh, on the other hand, simply shook his head, a fond smile tugging at his lips.

Rishwik: "Angel cake na khud kha rahi ho, na dusron ko khila Rahi ho."

(Angel, you’re neither eating the cake nor feeding anyone else.)

Rishwik took a piece of cake and offered to Ruhanika but she shook her head.

Rishwik: "kyaa???"

(What’s wrong???)

Ruhanika: "Hum raat ka brush kar chuke hai."

(I’ve already brushed my teeth for the night.)

Rishwik pouted in mock annoyance as he watched the others giggle at Ruhanika's innocence.

Rishwik: "Offo, par main toh tumhare liye chocolates laaya tha."

(Oh no! But I brought chocolates just for you.)

Ruhanika's eyes shone brightly, sparkling with a mixture of joy and innocence.

Ruhanika: "Toffee laye hai aap??"

(You brought candy??)

Rishwik nodded dramatically, prompting Ruhanika, who couldn’t help but grin widely. She eagerly took a piece of the cake and began feeding it to everyone, the joy in the room infectious. As everyone reciprocated and fed her cake in return, she felt cherished and loved. However, amidst the sweetness of the cake, her thoughts lingered on one thing—when Rishwik would finally present her with the box of chocolates she had been eagerly anticipating. Her eyes sparkled with excitement, and the others chuckled at her playful antics, knowing exactly what she was waiting for. Finally, Rishwik couldn't resist any longer and handed her the beautifully wrapped box of exclusive imported chocolates. Ruhanika's face lit up with delight as she accepted the gift, her anticipation fulfilled. The rest of the group promised to bring her their gifts later in the evening, and she nodded enthusiastically, thanking them all. Once they had all left the room, Rudraksh closed the door behind him and returned to Ruhanika, who was now sitting on the bed, savoring her chocolates with a blissful smile.  As he settled beside her, he watched her enjoy each chocolate, appreciating how her happiness radiated throughout the room.

Rudraksh: "Betu zara Suno."

(Sweetheart, listen for a moment.)

Ruhanika: "Hmm"

She hummed softly, savoring the delightful chocolates. Rudraksh couldn't help but smile, shaking his head at her.

Rudraksh: "Ye batao, kya tum roz mere pass aise mujhe pakad ke soti ho??"

(Tell me, do you always sleep holding onto me like this?)

Ruhanika looked at him in confusion, her brows slightly furrowed but then just giggled.

Ruhanika: "Areh nahi."

(Nooo)

He sighed in relief, yet a part of him felt a pang of hurt at the realization that her answer wasn’t the enthusiastic “yes” he had hoped for.

Ruhanika: "Aap galat samajh rahe hai, hum nahi, aap shayad nind me darr jate hai isiliye hume apne pass le lete hai."

(Oh no! You’re misunderstanding. It’s not me. Maybe you get scared in your sleep, so you pull me close.)

Rudraksh: "Whattt???"

Ruhanika: "Jiii, Varna hum nind me hilte dulte nahi hai, humne bataya tha na."

(Yes! Otherwise, I don’t toss and turn while I sleep. I’ve told you before, remember?)

Rudraksh: "Achcha."

(Oh, okay.)

Rudraksh's confusion deepened as he began to doubt himself, wondering if he was truly doing such thing. Just as he was lost in his thoughts, he turned his gaze back to her. She was blissfully enjoying her chocolates, her face lighting up with every sweet bite. A smile crept onto his lips at her innocence, but that smile quickly faltered as he noticed the pile of wrappers accumulating beside her. His eyes widened in realization—she had devoured way too many chocolates!

Rudraksh: "Ruhhh, betu tum 5 chocolates kha chuki hu, itna meetha achcha nahi hai bas karo."

(Ruhhh, sweetheart, you’ve already eaten five chocolates. Too many sweets aren’t good for you, that’s enough.)

Ruhanika: "par ye toffeeiyaan bahaut swadisht hai."

(But these candies are so delicious!)

Rudraksh: "Achcha toh subah kha le ab so jao, bahaut raat ko gayi hai."

(Okay, then have them in the morning. For now, go to sleep. It’s very late.)

Ruhanika nodded with a playful pout before carefully closing the box of chocolates and placing it in the side drawer, treating it like a precious piece of jewelry, worth corores. Rudraksh shook his head in amusement at her antics and then settled down on the bed beside her. Ruhanika soon followed suit, and before long, she had drifted off to sleep. As Rudraksh lay there, he couldn't help but admire her serene face, the way her lashes fluttered gently against her cheeks. But as he watched, he noticed that she was feeling cold. Reaching for the AC remote, he intended to adjust the temperature, but just then, Ruhanika shifted, completely curling up against him. She nestled her head on his chest, wrapping her arms around his torso, and let her legs rest atop his. For a moment, Rudraksh felt as though time had frozen. He was taken aback by the sudden intimacy of the gesture, his heart racing as he looked down at his wife, now snuggling peacefully against him. The initial shock quickly melted into warmth, and a cute smile crept onto his face. Overwhelmed by a rush of affection, he wrapped his arms around her, pulling her closer into his embrace.

Rudraksh: "Dasso ji, ulta chor kotwal nu daante! Eh kudi khud mere kol aake keh rahi hai ke assi isnu apne val khichda haan."

(Can you believe this? She’s accusing me of pulling her toward me while sleeping when she’s the one who snuggles up to me.)

Rudraksh: "Shayad taida kol hona hi sadde sukoon wali neend da raaz hai Sohneyo."

(Maybe being near you is the secret to my peaceful sleep, darling.)

Rudraksh gently kissed Ruhanika's head, savoring the tenderness of the moment. With her warm body pressed against him and her soft breath calming his racing heart, he felt an overwhelming sense of peace wash over him. He closed his eyes, letting the rhythm of her breathing lull him into a deep sleep.

The next day, Rudraksh faced an unavoidable dilemma. He had to head to the office for an emergency that only he could handle. Though he was reluctant to leave Ruhanika behind on her special day, both she and Kartavya insisted he go, knowing it was crucial. Even as he completed his tasks at the office, his heart felt heavy with unease; it was Ruhanika's birthday, and he longed to be by her side to celebrate. On his way back home, Rudraksh's eyes caught sight of a vibrant flower shop, and without a moment's hesitation, he decided to pick up two exquisite bouquets for Ruhanika—one of deep red roses and the other a bouquet of pristine white flowers representing her purity. With the flowers in hand, he dashed into the house, eager to surprise her. However, as soon as he entered, he was met with a startling sight: Rishwik was rushing down the stairs, his face contorted with worry. The moment their eyes met, Rishwik sprinted toward him, his expression tense and urgent. Rudraksh's heart raced, sensing that something was amiss.

Rishwik: "Bha...bh..bhai vo A..ngel"

Rishwik was panting badly, his breath coming in rapid gasps as he was trying to regain his composure.

Rudraksh: "Shh shant hoja, Araam se bol."

(Shh, calm down. Speak slowly.)

Rishwik: "Bhai vo Angel nahi mil Rahi hai."

(Brother, Angel...she’s missing)
