Chapter 1269
The Rewritten Love: A Second Beginning
Cecilia ended the call as her eyes showed a triumphant expression. She put her legs down and stood up before instructing the bodyguard, âGet ready and prepare for the discharge procedures.â
The bodyguard replied, âMs. Samford, the nurse mentioned that Mr.
Jardinâs wound hasnât fully healed, and he needs more time to rest.â
âI donât need your meddling advice; I know what to do.â Cecilia touched her abdomen and smiled. âIâve been busy lately, itâs time for me to take a good rest.â
The bodyguard responded, âOkay.â
At midnight, Cecilia was sitting in a car with Zach lying beside her. After riding for almost an hour, they arrived at a secluded place. The signal there was unstable, making it challenging for anyone to locate this place.
It was quiet. Inside a villa large enough to accommodate over a thousand people, there were hospital-
grade medical facilities family doctors on standby.
Walls surrounded the area, resembling a cage specifically made Zach.
In a massive master bedroom that could almost fit a swimming poo Zach lay on the bed while a doctor re-administered the IV on the back of Zachâs hand.
After a busy day, Cecilia was exhausted. She dismissed everyone, removed her clothes, and walked into the bathroom with the bath already prepared. She then soaked herself in the hot water. With her eyes closed, she enjoyed the moment as she sipped the milk.
After some time, a man quietly entered the room. Upon hearing footsteps, Cecilia instantly opened her eyes and saw the man open the shower curtain.
Cecilia suddenly extended her smooth and delicate long leg to tease the man with it. âI thought it would be harder for you to locate this place.â
The man replied, âIâve said before, itâs very easy for me to find someoneâs whereabouts.â
Cecilia smiled sweetly. âHave you found out what I asked you to investigate?â
âI wonât tell you. I wonât interfere in your affairs with him. I only need the child in your belly to carry on my family line.â
Cecilia casually sipped her milk. âWhy me? With your status, there should be plenty of women who are willing to bear your child.â
The man replied, âBecause youâre worthy. Now finish up and co quickly. I donât want anything unexpected to happen to my chil As he turned to leave, Cecilia suddenly approached him and pr against his back, hugging him tightly.
âItâs been so long; donât you miss me?â
The man removed her hands without looking at her. âDonât be so clingy. If you canât protect this child, I wonât spare you.â
t After he left, Ceciliaâs smile immediately faded. She indifferently put on a bathrobe before walking to the side of the large bed to gently caress Zachâs face. âAmong everyone, youâre still the one I like the mostâ¦
âWhen you wake up and see this villa Iâve built for you, youâll definitely love it.
âAt that time, there will be another surprise.â
There was a thick iron chain hanging on the bedpost. This was the surprise that Cecilia had prepared for Zach.
Cecilia had not returned to the company for nearly half a month. Susan handled the meetings most of the time. She had not even had time to drink water all day. She thought, âIâve been so busy. If Iâd known earlier, Iâd rather just remain an insignificant secretary.â
In the video conference, Susan asked, âMs. Samford, are you really planning to sell the companyâs shares to outsiders?â
