Chapter 1259
The Rewritten Love: A Second Beginning
After Agustin left, Blake entered the ward holding sunflowers in her hand. She pondered, âWhen I arrived just now, I think I saw the man who seemed to have come out of Ceciliaâs ward.â
When she saw Agustinâs figure, she felt a sense of familiarity as if she had seen him somewhere before, but she could not remember where.
Blake withdrew her gaze and looked at Cecilia, lying on the bed in a sorry state. Bruises covered her face, and the scars on her neck and arms were clearly visible. Blake, lips pursed, had an indescribable sense of frustration and irritability. However, compared to these feelings, an overwhelming inner turmoil consumed her.
Blake did not expect that Fred saying Cecilia would not die meant he would cause her to be in this state. She said, âYou donât look like youâre hurt.â
She then put the flowers at the bedside. With smiles all over her face, Cecilia was very happy to see Blake. She placed the freshly cut fruits in front of Blake, saying, âThese were just cut. Try them.
âOh, and I also have some strawberries and cherries. Let me get them for you.â
As Cecilia was about to get up, Blake immediately grabbed her hand, which had the IV drip attached, to stop her from moving around. She replied, âYou shouldnât move around in your current state.
âI just came to visit you for a while; Iâll leave soon.â
However, Cecilia wanted Blake to stay, âI still havenât eaten. Can you eat with me before you leave? Iâm really happy that youâre visiting me.
âSomeone, please,â Cecilia called the bodyguard outside. She instructed, âTake these fruits and wash them.â
Blake said, âI donât need the fruits.â
Cecilia held Blakeâs hand, âYou do. Your visit shows that you still care about me. Iâm truly happy. It makes me feel the mistreatment Iâve endured doesnât seem like a big deal anymore.â
Blake lowered her head to look at Ceciliaâs hand, which had an IV drip attached and was holding hers. There were clear claw marks on her wrist. She asked, âDid those people do this?â
Cecilia nonchalantly withdrew her hand and stared at Blake, âSo, you know what happened? Fred drugged me and had a group of people violate me. They were the ones who did all this to me. If it werenât for the kind-hearted person who saved me, all youâd see would be my corpse now.â
Ceciliaâs words made Blake emotionally distressed. She replied, âDo you know thereâs a saying, âwhat goes around, comes aroundâ? Have you ever thought that all of this is your karma?â
Cecilia looked a little sad as she gazed at Blake, âHave I done anything wrong? I did nothing wrong. Madelyn was the person who almost caused Zach to die. And Zach got to where he is now, all thanks to my help. Now that heâs unconscious, Iâm just helping to manage the company for him.â
Blake responded, âBut you wanted to kill Madelyn!â
Cecilia chuckled, âDid I actually kill her? You always say Iâm evil. I donât know who said things to you that made you harbor such a strong dislike toward me.
âIsnât Jardin Corporation doing well now? Because of me, the company is still running as usual.
âIf you dislike me because of Kevin, he resigned on his own. So, what does that have to do with me?
âBlake, why do you never side with me? Why do you help outsiders to go against me instead?
âDo you really hate me that much?â
