Chapter 1241
The Rewritten Love: A Second Beginning
âHow about we sneak the child out of Southern Haven Villas? Madelyn doesnât care whether Zach lives or dies, but I refuse to believe she wouldnât care about the life of her child,â said Cecilia.
She leaned against Agustinâs chest and said, âIâve been searching for Madelyn all this time, but I have no idea where sheâs hiding. Besides, Kai went off to the research institute. Our people canât get in there. Itâs impossible to find out her whereabouts.â
Agustin looked at Cecilia in his arms expressionlessly. âThe Turner family now guards the Southern Haven Villas. It had a state-of-the-art defense and alarm system before Zach left. The general public canât get in, and even if they manage to, they wonât make it out alive.â
Cecilia excitedly suggested, âHow about we set up explosives around the place and blow up Southern Haven Villas? We can dig a tunnel and bury the explosives underground. That way, it wonât be so complicated.â
Agustin said, âYou are indeed ruthless.â
Cecilia laughed boldly, âBut you like me this way, donât you?â She leaned in and kissed him slowly. In just a few minutes, a passionate atmosphere filled the office, the sounds making peopleâs hearts race and faces blush.
For some reason, Blake felt an inexplicable discomfort in her chest. It was a rare occurrence for her, and her anxious mind always anticipated that something might happen. Just then, Liam walked in after finishing the call. âWhatâs wrong? Are you feeling unwell?â
Blake smiled and shook her head, âIâm fine. Is the call over?â
Liam answered, âYes. Iâve booked a restaurant for tonight. Whether itâs a real wedding or a fake one, I hope you can meet her. If she gets to see you, sheâll surely be happy.â
Blake agreed, âLetâs get something for your mom when we go. It wouldnât be nice to meet her empty-
handed.â
âOkay, Iâll go with your plan,â said Liam.
Liam seemed to truly care about her. Most of what Blake knew about Liamâs mother was from his words. According to him, his mother was a very gentle person. She used to be the lead singer in a dance troupe and had fallen in love with his father at first sight. They eventually privately committed to each other, and Liam came into the picture later.
However, little did they expect that Liam would become a casualty of their marriage falling apart. Now, his mother had remarried and had a new family. Regardless, Blake knew she needed to meet her.
In the evening, they ultimately chose a restaurant that was closer to where Liamâs mother was staying.
It took them about an hour and a half to get there.
