She is an angel

He knew now....

"Aardhya what has happened to you?it looks like you have not eaten for days,you have lost so much weight"Karan,her benchmate asked her worried.

He has asked her many times but she would always ignore him when he asks about it just like this time.

"Please aardhya you can share it with me"

"I am sorry"she said and went out for the class since teacher wasn't in the class.

Karan followed her out.

He found her sitting alone on the bench in the park of college.

He sat down beside her.

"Aardhya please don't keep it to yourself"Karan requested.

She sighed,he is so stubborn.

"Why do you want to know?"she asked and he sighed in relief.

'Thank God at least she is speaking'

"Because you are my friend"he said smiling.

"But I don't take you as my friend"she said and his smile faltered and a tint of hurt expressed in his eyes.

But she didn't feel bad about him.

Reyansh has made her deprived of feelings.

She can't feel bad,good, happy,sad,pain anything now just hollow.

He smiles again and says"I take you as my friend even if you don't so now tell me what is bothering my friend?"

"Karan,.... I did not have a normal childhood.my parents hated me,still hate me because they think I am a bad omen.my grandparents died at the same day I was born.they wanted a boy not a girl,their company went in loss after my birth.So they never loved me or cared for me.tehy punished me for small mistakes, abused me and to get rid of me they got me married."

The revelation left Karan in shock.

He felt so bad for her.he squeezed her hand to calm her not knowing she isn't feeling anything about it.

"My husband is even more evil than my parents.he already had an girlfriend but married me because of our grandfather's promises.He at the start of our marriage  didn't say much to me but later on when his girlfriend broke up with him because of our marriage he started abusing me  mentally"

Karan hugged her tightly and whispered"I feel so bad for the Little girl that had to go through this much.you are so strong aardhya.they don't deserve you,you are an angel"

"Karan don't feel bad for me,even i don't do for myself"her blank face and neutral tone told Karan so much.

She suffered so much that this suffering doesn't pain her anymore.

"Why don't you escape from here?I will help you"he suggested.

"I will,I am just waiting for right time"she said staring at nothing.

"Till then you will be suffering this,no you won't"he said firmly.

"His abuse doesn't pain me Karan,it doesn't anymore"she said.

He sighed and looked at her in eyes.

"You are really a warrior aaru"

Her eyes softened at his words.

She wanted to smile but just couldn't.

He understood her and smiled at her.

"I promise to bring your smile back"

"Don't do this much for me,karan.in process you might lose yourself"she said and he smiled.

"I can do anything for my only friend"

"You don't have other friends?"she asked.

"No,but I have a elder brother who is also like my friend but he is a pain in ass"he said rolling his eyes.

"Is he younger than you?"she asked.

"No,elder than me.he is CEO of Malhotra enterprises"

"Ohh"

"Aardhya!"he said breaking the silence.

She looked at him to continue.

"Does he also starve you?"he asked.

"Not really"she lied to not worry him.

He narrowed his eyes at her not convinced but still nodded and said"so why don't you take care of your health?"

She just sighed at his question.

"Bhabhi  maa we are back"Aryan said smiling widely at aardhya who just returned from college to get the information that the family had returned back.

She nodded at him not knowing what to say.

Aryan and amravati frowned at her change.

"Beta,are you not taking care of your health?"

"Yes bhabhi you have become so thin"

"I am ok"she said and went to her room.

"She looks so different now"amravati said worried for her.

"Is it because of Bhai?"Aryan wondered.

"Why is he doing this to her?she is such a pure soul"amravati pitied her daughter in law.

Reaching her room,she found Reyansh already there.

'he is home at odd time.'

He looked up from his laptop to find her looking at him.

He smiled lightly which surprised her.

She went inside the bathroom to get changed and then went to kitchen to bring tea for him.

Placing the tea cup on table,she waited for his outburst but it never happened,he drank it silently.

After he was done,he looked at her and said"you make nice tea"

'did he just compliment me?is he drunk or something?'

She hummed at his words and left from there.

He sighed looking at her retreating figure.

Why is it so hard for him to apologise?maybe because he knows just saying sorry won't fix anything.

Later at night when aardhya was doing her homework,reyansh entered the room.

Taking a chair he sat down beside her.

"Aardhya"he said grabbing her attention.

He sighed and then continued"aardhya i realise how much pain i caused you.i was wrong,and I am truly sorry for my actions.i am deeply sorry for the pain i caused.

I know a sorry won't fix anything.i also know that I don't deserve it,but I am asking for your forgiveness.please give me a chance to make things right.

I promise to be better,to learn from my mistakes,and to never repeat them.

I want to prove to you that I have changed.just give me a chance Aardhya"

The silence prevailed in the room.aardhya was staring at the wall behind reyansh,not for once she looked at him when he spoke.

He takes her hand in his but she was quick enough to jerk it.

"I am sorry"he apologized thinking she might have felt uncomfortable.

"Aardhya please give me a chance"

"Words doesn't heal broken souls Mr Rajput"her words made him realise that the pain he had caused is much more than he thought.

"Aardhya at least don't call me that,i have a name call me with that please"

"I am noone to you to call that"

"You are my wife,aardhya"

"When was i? never"

Her words were like reality check of the pain he caused.
