Going through

Life brought me challenges

and I chose to accept them

I stood strong

even when it broke me down

I didn't give up

even when I lost strength to go on

I accepted to follow society's rules

but then I stopped

I broke them and went my way

I loved but then stopped

I didn't cheat

even when I got cheated on

I tried to smile

when I wanted to cry

I gave more

even when I was given less

I learned to value myself

when others didn't

I didn't regret

even when I made mistakes

I've learned and am learning

and everything I went through

at the end

it made me who I am

and will make me who I want to be.
