Chapter 30- I'd Do Anything For You

"Wait, why are they coming with us?" Rhea jumped in her seat and my mouth hung open.

"It's the deal. We have to work together to get the next tender and they have a lot of power by their side. It'll be fine, you guys," Mr. Chivalry replied and smiled at us.

All of us sat there looking at him. Of course he didn't know about this but others did. Last night Rhea and I told Jeremy about everything because he knew something was wrong.

Now that all of us know, I don't have to worry about it alone. I have them by my side. It was harder telling them about it more than how they would react.

Not seeing happiness on our faces, Mr. Chivalry also frowned. "What happened? Why are the four of you giving me weird looks?"

I quickly turned the frown into a smile. "Oh it's nothing really. We all are quiet tired, that's all," I reply and Mr. Chivalry sighed.

"Yeah dad, do you mind if we take the next flight back? We have a meeting with Zachery Helintower. Why don't you tag along with the Wellingtons next week?" Chase asked and I shot him a thankful smile.

"Sure, I don't mind," Mr. Chivalry replied.

I stood up from my spot and so did Rhea. "I'll stay with you Mr. Chivalry," I heard Amanda who was sitting down in a corner. I completely forgot that she was even here.

"No problem," Mr. Chivalry replied.

"We should get going now or else we won't make it," Jeremy said and we bid goodbyes before leaving for the airport.

"I'm sorry Chase," I whispered in his ear, while sitting next to him on the plane. I buried my head in his neck and he held onto me.

"For what?"

I adjusted myself and faced him. "Because of me, you had to lie to Mr. Chivalry."

"Oh Olive, its fine."

"But-"

"-no buts. Just know, I'd do anything for you."

That sentence somehow made my stomach flutter. He surely knows how to make me smile even in this moment.

"Anyways dad knew something was up but if you're not ready then we won't tell him."

"Thank you."

"Anytime for you."

I placed my head on his shoulder and then everything went dark.

"Wait, so you broke up with him," Jeremy confirmed and I nodded. "But why?"

"Jeremy," I heard Rhea whisper and telling him to shut up.

"I'm sorry, I shouldn't have asked," he replied back.

"No, it's fine. It's just, promise me that if I tell you about it, then you won't tell it to a soul. Especially Chase."

He looks up at me knowing that this was serious. He nodded and smiled at me.

"He uh- he used to abuse me. I don't know why he did that because he was so sweet but just the day before marriage, it happened."

Jeremy walked over to me and sat next to me. "I'm sorry."

"I have moved on, it's... it doesn't matter," I said, my voice breaking.

"Anyways, has Zachery called you yet?" Rhea asked, changing the topic.

"Uh yeah. He said he'll be here in 10," I replied and Chase walked in the conference room.

"Sorry I was stuck with the employees. They needed help with the new software," he replied and took a seat next to me.

"By the way Olive, someone is here and she is saying that she's your sister."

My sister?

"I'll go check," I replied and left.

I walked downstairs slowly and saw Candice talking to the receptionist. "Candace?"

"Olive," she ran to me and hugged me. "I have been waiting to see you."

"What happened? How is Keechee, dad and Sydney?"

"They're all great. I actually left early with Jace and Catalina. So, can we hangout tonight?"

"Tonight? I think we can. Come over to my place, you'll also meet my friends."

"Oh great!"

We talked for a while and I caught up on what was happening. Keechee, dad and Sydney were having fun and they didn't seem to be wanting to return back.

Seeing Keechee happy is amazing and so rare. She only smiles when I'm happy. It almost seems like she was never happy but now that she is with her son, she seems happy.

I always felt bad but Keechee chose mom over dad when they split. She would always take mom's side. Even though she isn't mom's real mom.

"Tutu," I heard Cherry say as he picked me up and swung me around. I chuckled when he finally put me down.

"So, what did you needed me to do?" He asked and I looked upstairs where Chase, Jeremy and Rhea were walking down.

"Promise me that you won't get mad or kill someone," I asked as I extended my arm. "Literally kill someone."

"Only one person brings out that side of me. I promise," he placed his hand on mind as a sign of promise.

"Great. Oh, I completely forgot." I looked back at Candice who stood next to me.

"Cherry, this is Candace. Candace, this is Zachery," I introduced them and they shook hands while looking at each other intently.

"Nice to meet you," Candace said with a smile.

"The pleasure is all mine," Cherry said and Candace quickly pulled her hand to herself.

Suddenly Mr. Chivalry and the Wellingtons walked in while Cherry and Candice were still talking. I looked back at Cherry who was busy talking to Candice.

"Uh Cherry, why don't you two go upstairs in the conference room?" I suggested and turned Cherry the other way so he couldn't see Richard and Edward walking in.

"Are you okay tutu?" He asked as he slowly turned around. "What is-"

His eyes turned hard as ice as he saw Richard walking in. His fingers snapped and quickly turned themselves into a fist. I looked up at him whose face was reddened by anger.

He took a step forward and I stopped him by placing my hand on his chest. "Zach no."

He stopped and looked at me while Candace stood there, confused. Cherry stopped and he turned around and closed his eyes. He breathed out and turned around to face me.

"You knew," he started. "You knew about him and you didn't tell me."

"Cherry I-" I started but he didn't let me explain.

"No. You know this is important but you don't even care. You didn't even think of telling me," he started. "I know you're a big girl now tutu and you can make your own decisions but I'm still your older brother."

"Cherry can you let me explain?" I asked and he stopped talking.

"Explanation for what?"

"I called you here for a reason. Chase and the others are waiting for you in the conference room."

He looked at me, this time understanding. He kissed my forehead and rushed upstairs. There was a moment of hesitation when he looked back at Candice but without saying or doing anything he went upstairs.

"Uh Olive, I'll uh- see you tonight then," she said as she hugged me and left.

Mr. Chivalry and the Wellingtons walked over to me. "Mr. Chivalry, you're here early."

"Yes. They got their work finished early so we left."

"Oh great. I'll uh- I'll leave you gentlemen alone. Good day," I said before rushing upstairs in the conference room.

Before entering the room, I looked down and noticed Richard and Amanda standing close. His eyes wandered upstairs and quickly met mine for a brief second.

He winked at me and I looked away before entering the conference room where the others are waiting for me.
