Chapter 14- Old Love Story

It had been a whole week since Chase went to the Paris meeting. He hasn't came back yet, I wonder what's happening there. They had him call me so I could discuss the presentation I made. I did my best but I haven't got a call and Chase hasn't called me back either.

I have been curious for an answer but never got a call. But thank god dad's wedding went well. It was amazing and I must say, Dad and Sydney are actually a good couple but nobody could take my mother's place.

Dad quit drinking after I told him about the wedding and he is 8 days sober. I hope it goes like that because I can't imagine anything happening to him.

They asked me to stay with them at their house but I strictly denied him. I can't leave Keechee and she didn't want to leave our old house. They understood especially Sydney did. She is actually really nice but her children's are a pain my ass.

Not all of them are pain in my ass but Catalina is the most annoying one. She is the typical mean stepsister who in fact is very girly. She is just a year younger than me and is actually pursuing something in business. Catalina being the mean person she is, wants to work for Mr. chivalry so she can torture me.

Candice is the oldest one and she is nice. At the wedding, she gave me company and we got along well. Rhea also liked Candice which proves how amazing she was.

Let me not start about how much Rhea likes Catalina. At the wedding they both were having a World War III. Oh got I can't believe I had to witness that.

Jace was Catalina's twin and was totally opposite of her. He was nice and it was nice to have a brother. I was the only child and never knew how amazing it felt to have a brother who takes care of you.

Candice, Jace and I hangout many times these days and Rhea sometimes accompanies us. She gets along with them and it seems like Jace and her have a thing. I mean I definitely won't mind her coming into the family.

I just finished all of the paperwork for next project and was about to head out until I heard a noise coming from outside. I quickly went to the window and it was dark outside and I saw a blue Lamborghini. Who could that be? I was the last one in the office tonight.

Then I heard something else break outside. I took out the small knife that I always kept on myself in case anything happens. I slowly walked towards to the door and peaked from the glass. I saw Rhea getting tackled down by the same man from the garage.

C'mon are you kidding me? I slowly opened the door and walked outside, without asking any noise. His back was towards me and I saw Rhea down on the ground, trying to get up but she couldn't.

Just as I was about to hit him, he laughed. "You really think you can hit me?" He said, turning around.

Rhea looked up and saw me. "Go away Olive," she shouted and I saw there was blood coming out of the side of her mouth and her forehead.

"Oh did you forget what happened last time we met?" I told him as I saw his face turning red. "Leave her," I demanded.

"You know nothing about this. I can still spare your life if you leave," he spoke with hoarse voice.

"Never," I spoke without thinking of the consequences I'd have to face.

Just as he stormed towards me, I heard Rhea say, "Sameer stop." The man whose name was apparently Sameer, turned towards her and she stood up slowly, trying not to fall and keeping herself straight.

He rushed towards her and helped her stand straight. I saw concern in his eyes for Rhea but then instantly it went away and he let go of her which caused her to misbalance and almost fall until he wrapped his hands around her to keep her from falling.

I just stood there with blank expressions. I didn't know what was happening. I looked at them but they were so busy looking at each other. I cleared my throat. "Anyone bother telling me what's happening?" I stated as he helped Rhea stand up.

I went to Rhea and held her while Sameer took a step back and let me help Rhea. "I thought he was the bad guy," I whispered to Rhea and she smiled.

"Oh I am the bad guy here, huh?" Sameer said as Rhea turned around and groaned.

"No he isn't the bad guy Olive, I am," Rhea said who turned to look at Sameer who stared at Rhea with shocked reaction.

"What?" I asked, confusingly.

"I lied to you before about the family feud and all. Sameer's brother showed up and threatened me that if I involve anyone in this, he will hurt them," Rhea said as tears formed into her eyes.

I hugged her from the side and when I looked up, Sameer's face was red with anger. "He threatened you?" He spatted out angrily.

Rhea looked at him and went to him. She held him from the side and didn't let go. "It's okay Sameer you're here," she spoke softly.

"How dare he threaten you," he spoke angrily as Rhea tried to calm him down.

I just stood there clueless about what was happening. Was I suppose to say something or just stand there? Until I thought of something, I just stood there, watching them.

"I don't care about what he does Sameer, all I care about is that you're here," she said as she held his face in her bare hands. "I missed you," she said as tear rolled down her eyes.

"I missed you so much Rhea," he smiled, wiped away her tear and pulled her into a hug.

It seemed like they met after a long time. They were having a reunion and I am still standing there, thinking if I trust this guy or not. Oh god help me.

Rhea pulled out of the hug and looked at me, Sameer was still holding onto her waist. "I owe you an explanation," she spoke slowly.

"Oh please no need to hurry, take all of your precious time," I spoke, sarcastically.

"Really?" Sameer muttered under his breath.

"She is being sarcastic, duffer," Rhea said as she slightly hit the back of Sameer's head.

"I'm waiting," I mumbled.

"Right so uh- Olive this is Sameer and Sameer this is Olive," she spoke slowly and avoided eye contact.

"Skip to the actual story," I stated.

"Well we both met back in New York in college and fell in love. Our parents were obviously against it but then they decided to give us a chance. On the day of the wedding I ran away, leaving Sameer behind and now his father is after me because I shouldn't have left on the day of the wedding. I had my own reasons to run away but neither his father nor his brother are trying to understand. So until they don't bring me back, they won't leave me alone," Rhea told me her whole story.

Woah!

"This is a whole bunch to take in but wow that's quiet a love story I must say," I smiled as Rhea and Sameer looked at each other and chuckled.

"Tell me about it. I had to go through so much just to get her attention. She is quiet the hard to get types," Sameer smiled as he pulled Rhea closer to him.

"I'm still here," I mumbled to myself but they didn't hear me.

Just then Sameer went closer and they shared a kiss. I stood there again, looking at the most disgusting thing in the whole world. I actually liked them, why did they have to ruin it by kissing?

I looked back at the clock and it was late. "Oh shit, I forgot to go to the party," I looked at my phone and saw many missed calls and texts from Candice and Jace.

"Guys carry on with whatever you guys are doing but I gotta go," I stated as I ran to my room and got my purse. "By the way the doors close at 11 and don't open till tomorrow morning, just a heads up."

I quickly ran outside and looked around for a taxi but it was really late. I decided to call Candice. She picked up by the second ring.

"Hey Candice I'm really sorry but something came up. Are you guys still there? Oh it's okay maybe another time? Sure, okay bye. Good Night!" I said cutting the call.

They had to go home because of something Catalina did. Catalina and her problems. I groaned and sighed. I looked around but the streets were nothing but pitch dark.

Suddenly I saw a car coming from behind. They rolled there window and I saw Sameer and Rhea. "Hop in," Rhea said as Sameer unlocked the car.

I sat in the car and we drove off. "Where to?" Sameer asked me.

"I need a drink," I sighed.

"Actually I do too," Rhea added.

"All of us do. Let's go then," Sameer said as he drove us to the bar where Chase took me when he first met me.

We got off and went inside and there was a party. Sameer took Rhea to the dance floor and I went and sat on the counter. "Can I have a drink?" I asked the bartender. "Light please."

"Coming right up," she said in a sweet tone.

I looked around and there were so many people there. Just as I was scanning the room, in a corner I saw a man sitting alone and talking to himself. I looked closely and noticed that it was Chase.

"Chase?" I whispered to myself.

Hey there, I updated quickly. Actually I know how I want this story to flow and it's quiet interesting.
