48. Simba and His Kingdom

"Mommy! Look!"

Nakoa cries out as he sees the lions in their little enclosure. My four little ones and their sister huddled close to glass as they all wanted to peek at the lions.

A lioness paraded past us with her two little cubs, keeping them in line.

"Look it's a mommy lion and her babies!" Jaydean pointed out to her little siblings and I got down on my knees.

"Roar!" I sneak up behind them and Nova jumps, smacking my chest with her little fists.

"Don't scare me like that mommy!" She cries out and I kiss the top of her poof of tight curls.

"Are you a mommy lion?" Rumi asked and I poked his cute little dimpled cheek. My babies are so beautiful and I will always protect them.

"Yup and if anyone touches my babies I will bite off their fingers!" I growl and the five of them laugh as I nuzzle their little heads and hold my quads and Jaydean close to me.

"Mommy, I want to see the penguins!" Mika asked and I ruffled his hair a bit.

"You want to see the pengins?! Only if you can walk like a penguin to get there!" I tell him and my children waddle together towards the penguin house making little quacking noises as they do.

Finally they're coming out of that baby phase and into their own.

And although I'm sad to see them grow so fast.

I can't wait to meet the beautiful humans they turn into.
