40. The Prophet

*Matty POV*

"Mommy, what's wrong with me?"

My beautiful little Mika Ji asked as I cuddled him on the guest bed while he drank his morning bottle. He was always the first to wake up out of his siblings and I was snuggled up with him on my chest, watching all my babies while my husbands and brother were boarding up the house and creating barriers for the night ahead.

"Nothing baby, nothing's wrong with you. Why would you ask that?" I asked him and he took a sip of milk from his bottle while I gently ruffled his silky smooth hair. Out of all the babies, Mika was the one who didn't quite look like me or Thomas, he looked more like a combination of my parents with deep purple eyes from his grandmother.

"I can hear the voices," He whispered and I froze, my hand stuck in his hair as he laid his little head on my chest and a soft sigh left his tiny pink lips.

"What did you say?" I asked him, knowing what he said but just wanting to hear it again so I wasn't crazy or imagining some shit.

"Mommy, I want to watch Thomas the choo choo," He continues on like he never said the sentence before it and I gulped.

"You have to wait until your brothers and sisters are awake, sweetheart. We have to be really quiet until then," I explained to him and he nodded, going back to sipping his bottle and snuggling with me.

"Your heart sounds crazy," He giggles and I was so tired that I wrapped my arms around his back and closed my eyes.

"Mmm, what does it sound like?" I asked him and he shifted a little.

"It sounds like boom boom boom, but there's more than one mommy," He mentions and I shake my head.

"No baby, humans can only have one heartbeat. It's probably my stomach making noises because I'm hungry," I yawned, leaning back into the pillow.

"No Mommy, there's another person in there," He says and pokes my stomach as I slowly drift off.

"Okay, whatever you say Mika," I smack my lips and felt myself drifting off further. It had been over forty hours since I last slept and I felt like I was going to go insane.

"Do you love me?" He asked and I nodded.

"I'll always love you," I reply, my body aching from the tension and stress of these past few weeks. A new album, the shit with Miguel, my first fight with Luca, and my brother's appearance were all adding up and exhausting me further.

"Mommy never lies," Mika whispered and I heard the door slowly opening, opening one eye, I saw Thomas standing in the doorway.

"Hey we finished the house and we're ready for tonight, are you?" Thomas asked and I closed my eyes again.

"Yeah, I just need a little bit of sleep," I yawned and he walked into the guest room, closing the door behind him before joining me on the bed.

"Why don't you sleep then? I'll watch over you," He says and I nod, letting him wrap his arm around me so I could use his muscular bicep as a pillow.

"Mmm, they should be up soon, wake me up in an hour," I yawned and he gently kissed my forehead.

"Okay Kitten, get some rest and don't worry so much. We'll be fine, Mika will be fine," he says and I groaned.

"Yeah, I'm just on edge is all," I sighed hoping he understood.

"Hey baby, are you awake before all of your siblings again?" Thomas asked Mika who stuck to me like glue. I really hoped this momma's boy thing was just a passing phase but it seemed never-ending. Of course, I love my little Mika Ji and he's a really sweet baby, I'm just concerned about his independence. Roo wants nothing to do with me unless I have a banana, Nova hates everyone equally, Koa is my explorer while Roo is the adventurer. That's because Koa likes to see new things but knows when to stop, Roo, on the other hand, knows no boundaries.

Lots of little Mika's powers starting to come through in this little chapter.

I like how none of you are really phased anymore or screaming at me that everything is random and unrealistic, especially if your big Grayson Universe Fans.  [I need a cool Fanclub name LMAO]

Cause y'all know everything happens for a reason in this world.

I'm going to bed but I'll write all day tomorrow, since tomorrows my final day before Bootcamp and I'm snowed in.

[one book, Project Kaleb, in a sense, has because it was turned into a play that was performed at my college but I'm talkin hard copy]

I would LOVE if this was turned into a Netflix Original TV show, an anime, or even a manga.

If it were, we already know who my dream live action cast is, which reminds me, totally support the man who plays Matthias, Hansol Vernon Chwe in his Music Video with his squad, [linked below everything]

Okay guys, I searched and looked as hard as possible but apparently, there's no such thing as African American anime characters that don't look just slightly tanner than the white ones. Which is...ugn

Also found this Manga called Love is an illusion that I really want to read when I get out of boot camp because it reminds me EXACTLY of Matty when he was pregnant.

It looks cool. Nothing physical really inspired me to write the secret between us per se. I just liked Matty's personality from his sister's book, my secret love song, and was like what if...I created this asshole, kind of selfish, polyamourous dude who just ends up pregnant and loves the baby to death but is like fuck my life at the same time.

And that's how this series was born, no lie.
