37. Uncle

*Matty POV*

"Hey Matt Matt,"

My brother blinks the tears from his eyes as he looked down upon me and I loosened the ropes around him, letting him down from the punching bag before hugging him like my life depended on it.

"Hyungie," I cried into his shoulder, feeling so relieved and heartbroken at the same time.

"I am sorry my dearest brother, I did not know this family was yours," Taehyung whispers in my ear and I slowly pulled away, before winding my hand back and clapping it straight across his face. The bitch slap alone could probably be heard around the world as he collapses to his knees in so much pain, holding his cheek.

"That's for hurting your brother-in-law you asshole," I told him, laughing slightly at his painful reaction.

"Ahhh, I deserve that...you really haven't changed one bit," He coughs and I rolled my eyes, giving my big brother a gentle push with my foot so he falls to the floor.

"Nope and neither have you since you destroyed my house like the old days. Now what are you doing here?" I asked him and he sighed, looking up at the ceiling.

"Your child is a Mahu, correct?" He asks and I nodded, knowing Mika Ji was born as such.

"They're coming for them Matt Matt. I know you didn't grow up on the island so you are unfamiliar with our traditions but they're very very special and people are paying good money to have your child hunted and found...boy or girl?" He asked me and I took my foot off him.

"Male pronouns so far," I replied, believing him and taking in the information. How could someone hunt my precious little Mama's boy? He wouldn't last two days without me.

"Then I'll make sure nothing happens to my nephew, I promise. I'm sorry, it is all just a misunderstanding. I shall explain the situation to all of you when you are together," He says and I narrowed my eyes at him.

"You're also going to apologize and clean my house right?" I told him and he gulped.

"Yes, I'll give him my sincerest apologies," He promises and I give him a love smack on the back of the head before leaving him be.

"Fine, let me just go..." I looked up to see Luca had been frozen in place as he watched my brother's every move.

"Nakoa?" Luca asked but our son was nowhere near this room so I was confused until I realized his eyes were still trained on Taehyung.

"Wesley?"

Taehyung is using they/them pronouns for Mika Ji because the child was born without gender, but the trio decided to raise him as male to make things less complicated for him.
