The Love Between US [BxBxB]
*THOMAS POV*
Beep, Beep, Beep,
The alarm blares and I groan both mentally and verbally as I pat my hand to my nightstand with my eyes still closed. Finally, I bring the phone back and press the volume to mute it with a sigh. The bed was so warm and toasty this morning that I didn't want to move as I had a leg thrown over my waist, keeping me in place. From the gentle snore beside me, I knew exactly who it was before I even opened my eyes.
My gaze meets Luca's hooded blue eyes as he slowly awakens alongside me and sneezes into his pillow like a small kitten, groaning and keeping his head burried.
"Bless you, honey," I sigh and he sniffles a bit.
"Mmm, thanks," he mutters before arching his back and stretching out his arms until they hit the headboard of our new California King sized bed. I giggled a little at his rough bedhead as his blond and brown curls all worked their way up into one massive, tangled wave.
"You look crazy," I mumble as he smacks his lips together with his eyes closed.
"You think you look any better?" He yawns again and I reach out for my phone.
"Hey, where's our other husband?" Luca pointed out and I slowly sit up to find one of three is currently missing in action.
"Fuck, what time is it?" I turned on my phone and found that it was eight in the morning and my heart instantly dropped out my ass and onto the floor.
A little over a year ago, I never would have thought twice about waking up at eight.
But that's no longer the case when you have four little mouths to feed at 6:30.
"Luca," I gasped and he scratched the back of his head, checking the time as I looked over and found the baby monitor had been silenced and the babies were no longer in the nursery.
"Oh shit," He muttered as he got out of bed before me, shrugging on his robe and rubbing his eyes.
"How did he wake up without kicking our asses out of bed? He can't do the morning feeding by himself." I asked him and he raked his hands through his hair as I kicked my legs over the bed and tossed on my cozy navy blue slippers.
Luca and I slowly approached our bedroom door, slowly peeking our heads out of the sliding barn door into the hallway. No one was screaming, there was no total chaos in the hallway and Matthias wasn't waiting to kill us.
"Why do you think he didn't wake us up?" Luca asked as he slips out before me, being the braver of the two of us when he peeks over the balcony peering into the kitchen and smiles. I slowly joined him from behind, resting my chin on his shoulder and quickly join him in his soft happiness.
Three of our little babies were being good and waiting for breakfast in their high chairs while babbling to each other and kicking their feet. The forth one, deciding it was his turn to hang out in mommy's arms this morning.
"Okay, now sweetheart," Matty coaxes our eldest daughter Jaydean as she flips a pancake by herself at the stove and the delicious smell coming from the kitchen made my mouth water. Jayde squeals a little as she successfully flips the pancake without her mother's help.
"I did it, oh look mommy! They're up!" Jaydean calls out and out red-headed six-year-old throws down the spatula and rushes to meet Luca and I at the bottom of the stairs.
"Happy Father's Day Daddies!" She cries out as she hugs one of each of our legs. Luca reached down and scooped up little Jayde in his arms, kissing her freckled cheek as he scooted her onto his hip.
"It's Father's Day? Is that what all this is for?" Luca asked her and I looked at Matty who took over Jaydean's abandoned post.
"Yup! Mommy and I woke up extra early and fed all the babies their warm milkies then we started making breakfast for you! I have my present for you too! Hold on it's in my backpack," She cried out and Luca put her down so she could go get her present.
"Good morning beautiful," I sighed as I wrapped my arms around my warm little husband holding our smallest baby and official momma's boy, Mika. Luce comes around to the other side and kisses his and Mika's cheek.
"Good morning loves," He yawned and Matty giggled, patting both of us on the head as he shifted the abandoned chocolate chip pancake to a plate.
"Did you guys enjoy sleeping in? I figured it was the best present I could get you," Matty said as I went into the fridge and got out the yogurt and berries for the babies.
"I did until we thought we accidentally slept in on you. You didn't have to do the feeding all by yourself kitten," I mention as he sets the plates at the kitchen island while humming gently to the babies.
"It wasn't that big of a deal guys, I had a little helper and the babies have been really good today. Oh! I also got them little onsies for you guys. I'm quite proud even if they'll probably be ruined in an hour or so," Matty mentions and I
"Oooh, let me see," Luca goes up to the high chairs where Nakoa, Novalee, and Rumi were waiting to be fed and I joined him, pinching Rumi's chubby cheek as he smiled when he saw us and called out.
"Daddy's mini-me, true," I read out loud and gently kiss his forehead before looking over Nakoa's.
"The cuter version of Daddy. Oh you are so cute, aren't you Koa?" Luca coos as our only green-eyed baby, Nakoa, sticks out his tongue and calls out Luca's name.
"Papapa!" He giggles and Luca tickled him a bit because out of all the babies, Nakoa had the biggest smile and the cutest roll of laughter. He sees me and squeals with just as much excitement.
"Dada!" He giggles and I gasp, making him laugh along with Rumi but never the elegant and quiet miss Novalee. Nova seemed to be a different kind of baby from her easily amused siblings. An intellectual who needed more stimulation than just a silly face or even peek a boo to laugh.
"Let's see your shirt miss supernova...strong like Papa? Yes, you are! You're stronger than a stone wall, just like me," Luca mentions as he kisses Nova's soft head of baby curls and both of us turned to Mika-Ji bobbing up and down in his mommy's arms.
"This one is my personal favorite," Matty mentions as he hands the baby to Luca who holds up our giggling son up so we could see what he was wearing.
"Mommy and I talk shit about you!" I read out loud and we laugh at the honesty on his cute little shirt causing Mika-Ji to break into his adorable smile with his tiny teeth.
"Do you guys like them?" Matty asked as he set the last plate and Luca brought Mika back to him, tickling his little body before putting him in his high chair.
"Mmm it's really cute, thank you kitten," I told him as I gently pecked his lips before sitting down to start doing the duel job of eating and feeding four babies with Luca taking Nova and Koa while I settled with Mika and Roo. They were at the point where they could eat by themselves but needed to be reminded every now and then that they're not allowed to toss all their food to the eager Houston and Cooper.
"I'm back!" Jaydean sings as she sits at the kitchen island with two papers and I turn back to them after giving the babies their yogurt and blueberries to start. She handed me a paper she must have made in school describing me for fathers day. A purple man who looked like an alien with big black eyes and curly black hair stared back at me.
"Who is this?" I asked her, honestly confused as I took a bite of my delicious pancake and Matty took one look at it before laughing so hard that he snorted.
"It's you daddy! Hasan was hogging up the brown crayons for his daddy though and I got impatient so I made you purple instead but you still look the same see! I even made your muscles." She said, showing the four pack she drew on me and the little lumps she added to my arms. Matty was still laughing so hard that he could barely breathe and I didn't know why until I saw the number she put for my age.
"Jaydean! I am not 59!" I cried out, only being twenty-four years old. She shrugged and filled her mouth with pancakes so she couldn't speak.
"I mean, I'm not mad at my age," Luca says and points to his paper which had an accurate representation of him, because he wasn't purple but his age said he was eighteen.
"What? But you're older than me! You're thirty-one," I gave Luca a gentle shove as he laughed his ass off at my pain.
"Hey don't get grumpy now old man," He teases and Matty rolls his eyes.
"Your grandfathers aren't even that old nugget," I pointed out and she swallowed with her big blue eyes turning watery.
"You don't like it?" She sniffled and I instantly stopped.
"No, no, no, I do like it! I was just a little confused. Wait, I haven't even read it yet." I protested as I continued to read the paper.
"Christ, with your apparent age difference, I'm surprised we didn't get a call from the school," Matty grunts and a blueberry suddenly smacks me in the face. I looked over at Mika-Ji and Rumi who went from giggling babies to serious in seconds.
"Uh oh," Rumi spoke when I narrowed my eyes.
"Who did that?" I asked and Rumi instantly pointed to Mika.
"Kakaka!" He cried out but Mika looked completely innocent as he spooned more yogurt into his mouth.
"I think it was you Roo," I pointed to the little troublemaker who shook his head.
"You don't throw food, you eat it," I told him and stole one of his strawberries, plopping it into my mouth and he giggled.
"I think this is really sweet Jaydean, thank you. But you know my name is spelled with a 'c' right?" Luca asked her and she shook her head.
"I couldn't decide and the 'k' looked cooler," she replies and I gently ruffled her bedhead a bit.
"I think it's very nice. So nice, we'll have to put it up on the fridge." I told her and she smiled again, forgive me for my earlier comments.
"Here, oh and the new boards came up for the sign so we can finally add their names," Matty said as he slid a small card across the marble countertop and Luca took hold of it, carefully opening it.
Luca and I both laughed when we read it and he opened the card to find a small piece of paper slipped out.
"Luca and Thomas, thank you for not leaving me as a single parent. I could never do this last year and a half without you. Love Matty,"
The card read and I gripped the small paper, opening it to find it was a tree with all of the babies and Jaydean's handprint on it, pointing to a family tree kind of situation.
"That was my idea, but it's from the quad squad." Jaydean points out and I looked at Rumi and Mika.
"Did you two do this for us?" I asked them even though they had no idea what I was talking about. Rumi currently reaching over and trying to steal his brother's berries.
"Rumi, why are you always trying to steal his food huh? There's more where that came from. I know you're a hungry baby," I told him as I gave him more berries and he took them with his hands in the air.
"Bar bar!" he called out his word for berries and IÂ looked at the mass amounts of yogurt they had both managed to get everywhere but their mouths.
"Jeez guys, you really like that huh? How are your two?" I looked over Luca's shoulder and saw Nova and Koa were in the same situation.
"Looks like a wipe bath time, then a little playtime and after your nap we'll go to the park," Matty said as he was already getting out a lukewarm dishrag to clean them while Jaydean was running to hang the portraits of her daddies on the fridge.
