Ch. 35 Misdirection

8 Days till Vytal Festival

Atlas Mothership

Herman Schultz quarters 11:45 PM

Herman is finishing some paperwork.

Herman: *Sigh* *looks at clock* damn it.

While he slays away at his dead-end job when his door opens revealing an Atlas robot holding a case.

Herman: Look I said I will finish it by toni...*notices Robot* what the hell.

The robot steps in and shuts the door.

Herman: What the hell is going on?

The Atlas Knight's visor turns green and starts talking with a disguised voice

Atlas Knight: Hello Mr. Schultz.

Herman: Call me Herman, who are you, and what do you want?

Atlas Knight: I am a friend one who wants to help you if you do something for me in return

Herman: Heh yeah sorry if I am not exactly jumping at the opportunity, I don't exactly trust those whom I can't see.

Atlas Knight: Understandable, but I suggest you hear me out.

Herman: Why?

Atlas Knight: Because I know what you really want in life.

Herman: And what would that be?

Atlas Knight: Recognition.

Herman turns to the robot with a surprised look on his face.

Atlas Knight: Your family came from nothing, all your life people told you would be nothing but a farmer just like your father, and grandfather.  So you joined the Atlas Military in hopes that will stop, but it didn't.  You were nothing but a grunt in the eyes of your superiors so you work hard to make them notice you but you know that will never happen, Herman, even if you are finally recognized for your work, the Atlasian Knights have taken all the command positions.

Herman: ...Yeah, I have been in this army for nearly ten years, and they would rather but their faith in machined than hard-working soldiers, what I wouldn't give to push back.

Atlas Knight: I can give you a way to push back Herman.

The robot puts the suitcase he was holding on the table and opens it up to reveal Shockers Battlesuit, Herman looks it over and smiles what do you want me to do.

Atlas Robot: A lot is going to happen in the next week, but you will act and only act when I interrupt  the Vytal Festival during Team JNPR's fight, the attention will be on the Colosseum, Osborn's soldiers will be there to try and stop me, that will be your chance to sneak into the Oscorp Mothership and release, prisoner #1519 AKA Flint Marco, once you have finished that task return to beacon with Marco, and I will provide you with further instructions.

He thinks it over for a bit before nodding.

Herman: I'll do it.

Atlas Robot: Good, and one more thing do not just take the suit and skip town you don't want to end up like the last guy who wore it now, would you?

Herman: No.

Atlas Robot: Just complete your task and the suit will be yours with no strings attached.

The robot then goes limp and collapses leaving Herman with the suit.

Herman: The Shocker hm? I like the sound of that.

5 Days till Vytal Festival

Scorpions Hideout 9:00 PM

Mac is sitting in his chair drinking a beer waiting for Raven's orders, but for the past few months he has been put on Spider-Man watch, and he has resented her for it, but not because he felt like Raven was holding him back, but because this mission made significantly less money than his previous missions.  Mac is not even doing the mission anymore now he just gets drunk gambles and sends a standard report to Raven to appease her.

*knock* *knock*

Mac: *Drunk* Huh?

Mack walks to the door and opens it to see Otto Octavius holding a duffle bag.

Otto: Hello Mr. Gargan

Mac: *Drunk* Who the hell are you?

Otto: For now you can call me Mr. O

Mac: *Drunk* Mr. O what are you a D-list anime villain, like the kind they put in filler episodes. Like the Garlic, guy from the show with the Majic Balls with Dragons in them.

Otto: *Chuckle* The name is because I can't afford you to blurt out my name in a bar somewhere if we decide, to work together.

Mac: *Drunk* OK now *thinks about it for a moment* yeah OK fair enough.

Otto: May I come in?

Mac: *Drunk* Yeah sure.

Mac slumps in his chair and Otto stands in front of him.

Mac: *Drunk* So you want me for the job?

Otto: Yes and I am willing to pay.

Mac: *Drunk* How much?

Otto: $25,000.

Mac: *Drunk* I'm in.

Otto: *Surprised* Really just like that no questions.

Mac: *Dunk* Yes Please I have been sooooooooo board, what do you need me to do?

Otto: *Pleased* Well in five days things will happen and on the day the Vytal Festifall is interrupted, *drops duffle bag* plant these explosives on the prison walls, and let them all loose.

Mac: *Drunk* Ah, a good old fashioned prison break I can do that.

Otto: Good and I am going to hold you to that, you don't want to disappoint me.

Mac: *Drunk* Got it I will blow those walls with no casualties, but I want to get paid by the end of it all right.

Otto: Of course now if you excuse me I have a party to attend to.

Present Day

Oscorp Mother Ship Meta Lockdown Cell #1519

Flint sits alone in his cell board until he hears people screaming in the halls, as well as loud booming sounds, this continues, until it suddenly stops, and the shockwaves start to break down the door until the shockwaves break down the door revealing the Shocker.

Marco: Y..your the Shocker! I thought you were dead!

Shocker: *Cheeky* Maybe I am.

He goes to the keypad lock and lets him out.

Marco: So what's the occasion.

Shocker: I have a job to do and you're coming with me.

Marco: *Curious* What's the Job?

Shocker: They said they will tell us when we get back to Beacon.

Marco: Wait you signed up for a job without knowing what it is.

Shocker: Hey people are always telling me to take risks, and this seemed like the most irresponsible thing I could do.

Vale Maximum Security

Mac has planted the C4 and is holding the detonator in his hands.

Scorpion: Now let's get this party started.

He presses the button and soon enough every inmate walks out, with all their gear, including Kraven who walks to the street that is being overrun by criminals.

Kraven: Ah now the hunt resumes.

A/n: Hey guys hope you enjoyed this chapter now there are only 5 more chapters until the end of book one.  And it all starts with the event I am calling The Invasion of Vale.  The event will be comprised of four chapters each following a different perspective it will go as follows

Ch. 36 Will see the event unfold from team RWBY's Pov

Ch. 37 Will be from Spider-Man's perspective

Ch. 38 Will be about team JNPR

and Ch. 39 will be the culmination of all these events.  I would like to tell you more but that would be giving away to much too soon but it has an event that I think will surprise you.
