Ch. 33 Explanations

Beacon Medical Wing

Blake is sitting in the waiting room and she is still thinking about her last moments with Sun, but her train of thought is interrupted when Neptune storms out of the Medical Wing doors, with Sage, behind him trying to calm him down.

Neptune: Blake please, tell me that they're wrong!

Blake: ...I...am so sorry.

Neptune: .I.....no....

Hearing the news causes Neptune to just stare blankly into nothing and slowly backs up into a chair and sits down, and only then does he start crying, Sage looked on with empathy, he was feeling just as sad as he was but he was better at hiding his emotions.

Sage: ...Could you give us a few minutes....please.

Blake: Of course.

Blake then exits, leaving both Neptune and Sage to grieve the loss of their two friends.

Blake is making her way back to her room trying to prosses the death of someone she really liked when she came across Ruby and Weiss coming from the opposite direction.

Ruby: Blake!

Blake: Ruby, Weiss, what are you doing here?

Weiss: We have something Very Important to tell you!

15 min. and one long explanation later.

Beacon Dorm Hallways Ruby, Weiss, and Blake are walking to their room.

Blake: So let me get this right, Y/n has been Spider-Man this whole time and you found this out when he stumbled through our window?

Weiss: Yeah pretty much.

Blake: That's a lot to take in.

Ruby: I know! Don't worry though I am sure that he will explain everything.

Then they open the door and walk in.

Ruby: Hey we found Blake!

Yang: Shh!

The three of them look at Weiss bed where Y/n has fallen asleep on Yangs lap.

Yang: *whispers* He is sleeping.

Weiss: *whispers* Now!?

Yang: *whispers* He needs his rest so his aura can recover.

Ruby: *whispers* Why is he on your lap?

Yang: *whispers* *blushes* Because we were cuddling.

Ruby: *whispers* Aww. But seriously we need to talk to him, but if he needs rest can we talk to you over there where we won't wake him up.

Yang: *whispers* Alright.

The Yang carefully moves Y/n off her lap onto a pillow without waking him, and the team gathers around a table on the other side of the room.

Blake: So Y/n really is the Spider-Man?

Yang: Yeah.

Weiss: He was the one saving all those people?

Ruby: He was the one fighting all those super-villains?

Yang: Yes everything that the Spider-Man has done was all him.

Ruby: Why did he never tell us.

Yang: He did not want you to get hurt or be targeted, and because he did not want you to think of him as some big hero, he just wants to be Y/n.

Weiss: How long have you known?

Yang: A few months.

Ruby: When did he tell you?

Yang: At the dance.

Blake: Why did he tell you.

Yang: Because I am his first relationship of this kind, and he thought it was important I should know from the get-go.

Weiss: So what happened to him?

Yang: That's, a long story, short version: he found out what Doctor Octavius was planning, and tried to stop him but, things didn't go that well.

Blake: Did he tell you why Otto did all of this just to get to Ironwood.

Y/n: Otto is not working alone.

The four of them turn around to see Y/n getting up from the bed and starting to walk towards them. Yang then dashes to him and helps him keep standing.

Yang: Hey sweetie you sure you don't need more rest?

Y/n: Thanks, but I am fine.

Yang then helps him to a chair so he can join them.

Weiss: What do you mean he is not working alone?

Y/n: He is working with Norman Osborn.

Ruby, Wiess, and Blake all nearly jump out of their seats and gasp as they say this.

Weiss: What!

Ruby: Norman Osborn!

Y/n: Yeah but it doesn't stop there, Shocker, Torchwicks arrest at Moutain Glenn, Sandman, Green Goblin, The recall of all Atlas Security, and Otto attacking the Festifall, it was all orchestrated by him.

The three girls just sat there taking it all in, as Y/n and Yang wait patiently.

Blake: *Disbelief* Are you serious?

Y/n and Yang nod.

Ruby: Why did Otto do this?

Yang: That's something I would like to know that as well.

Y/n: Well You know that he was kicked out of Atlas for developing 'dangerous technologies'

They all nod.

Y/n: Well it turns Ironwood just wanted to cut Otto out of the project, they stole his idea and made it a reality without him.

Yang: Wow even for Atlas that is low.

Blake: So Atlas has a deadly weapon.

Weiss: What was the project.

Y/n: Well it was a gyroid, that can blend in with everyday society, in order to protect the people of Remnant. He called it project Penny.

Ruby: Penny!?

Yang: Penny as in redhead Penny?

Blake: Penny is an android?

Weiss: I heard about some advantages being made in artificial intelligence, but to have it be living among us without us knowing.

Y/n: Wait you meet her!?

Ruby: Yeah she came for the Festival, she is in the exchange student dorm right now!

Y/n: Then you need to keep an eye on her, Otto or Norman might come back to get her and who knows what will happen or who will get hurt.

Ruby: What? We should try to find and stop Otto.

Weiss: Ruby the School is on lockdown we won't be able to get three feet before we can even get to the bullhead landing.

Y/n: You can't but I can.

Blake: What alone.

Y/n: I am not going to let anyone else get hurt.

Ruby: Then what do we do?

Y/n: I need you to stay here just in case I fail and he comes back.

Ruby: You think you might..fail...

Yang: I am not going to let you go if that's even remotely an option! His arms can cut through Auras like butter!

Y/n: Yang...I...

Yang: We already lost two friends today, we cannot lose you! I CAN NOT lose you!

She collapses into his arms, and he hugs her back and brushes her hair.

Y/n: Yang I helped Otto build those arms, it's my responsibility to stop him.

Yang: *Sobbing* I...I know you have to go but....I....don't want you to.

Ruby: Wait you helped build those arms?

Y/n: *Guilty* Yeah.

Ruby: Well then if anyone can find a weakness it's you.

Y/n's face it up as he got an idea he then slowly got up put his mask on and walked to the window.

Y/n: Thanks girls I could not do this without you.

He is about to Leave through the window.

Yang: Wait!

He looks over and at Yang who gives him a big hug and whispers in his hear.

Yang: *whispers* Be safe.

Y/n: I will. I love you

Yang: I love you too.

She then lets him go and waves to the girls.

Ruby: Fight the good fight Spider-Man.

Weiss: Make him regret ever entering the arena.

Blake: Good luck, and kick his ass for me.

He then looks at Yang who is still worried, but deep down she knows he can do this.

Yang: *Smiles* Go get 'em, tiger.

He nods and jumps out the window, and swings from the Dorms to Otto's office although it was more difficult because his wounds have not fully healed yet, but none the less he makes it to Otto Octavius' office and entered his secret lab, he then took his mask off holding his waist in pain with his right hand and clenching his mask with his left as he makes his way to the main area of the laboratory.
