POLAR BEAR ARC CHAPTER 43

You Plan to Kill me with Meng?

The research station had left this male couple alone for two years, and the fact that they had successfully navigated three years together was both unbelievable and heartwarming. Anyone who knew them couldn't help but admire their strong bond.

According to the latest reports, Otis and Alexander were actively preparing for the upcoming spring. Otis's hunting had reached unprecedented levels over the past month. Not only was he eating more, but he was also "encouraging" Alexander to eat as much as possible.

This "encouragement" was, of course, similar to when they were younger—Otis was force-feeding him.

Otis's habit of forcing food on Alexander often led to concerns about whether it might leave psychological scars. It was a kind of overwhelming love that sometimes felt a bit much.

Qiao Qixi couldn't help but agree: 'Absolutely!'

Recently, Otis had been relentlessly hunting on the ice. If seals had thoughts, they'd probably give him a title like "Seal Serial Killer."

Otis ate some of the seals he caught and gave the rest to Qiao Qixi. The frequency and portion sizes of their meals had Qiao Qixi eating with a sense of unease, knowing exactly why Otis was being so intense.

The thought of it made even the usually unfazed Qiao Qixi tense up a bit. This year was different from previous years; both of them had reached maturity, and he couldn't help but wonder if Otis would still be content with just cuddling and grooming like before.

It was a bit awkward.

Qiao Qixi hoped Otis would remain as pure as ever, without any strange or unproductive ideas about deepening their relationship. Daily cuddles and kisses were more than enough.

If someone else had transmigrated into a polar bear, they might find even the cuddles and kisses hard to accept, let alone anything deeper. It would likely be repulsive.

But Qiao Qixi felt that once emotions resonated, it didn't matter whether the other was human or animal.

Perhaps it was also because both were animals, making their bond seem less extraordinary.

After eating the meat handed to him by his silent partner, Qiao Qixi expected that today's activity would involve more seal hunting. But Otis had other plans. He picked up the little yellow bucket and ignored the scent of food along the way, heading straight inland.

'What's meant to come will come.'

Without protest, Qiao Qixi followed Otis, ready to find their spot on the snow-covered mountains.

Unlike the fixed summer resting places, Otis didn't seem to like spending each mating season in the same location. He preferred something new.

At least, that was Qiao Qixi's guess. Without inherited memories, he was like a polar bear with a natural deficiency, lacking many instincts.

From the day he transmigrated, it was as if he'd been given a death sentence—only Otis had commuted it to a life sentence, full of indulgence.

Without inherited memories, he had no idea what he was supposed to do at any given time.

But he didn't regret it because Otis had no clue what his beloved little bear was thinking either.

Maintaining some mystery in a relationship kept the love alive.

"..." 'What an amazing perspective—truly genius thinking.'

Qiao, the genius, swaggered through the Arctic as if it were his own backyard.

The researchers believed that there was probably no other polar bear in the entire Arctic that could match Alexander's audacity.

They were eager to see what would happen if a female polar bear approached Alexander to flirt—what amusing scene might unfold?

They had already observed that Alexander didn't seem to mind when female polar bears showed interest in Otis. Would Otis feel the same way?

Not long after heading inland, the two prime specimens of male polar bears, Otis and Alexander, attracted a female bear's attention. Their strong, muscular bodies and powerful, masculine scent were hard to resist.

But when the female polar bear arrived and saw two handsome, strong males, she seemed a bit overwhelmed by the choice and couldn't decide which one to approach.

'Oh no...'

Her hesitant gaze shifted between the two different types of males, making Qiao Qixi nervous. 'Please don't choose me, please don't choose me...'

He quickly sped up, muttering to himself as he hurried past Otis. 'Let Otis bear the burden of guilt.'

Otis had already sensed the approach of a female polar bear but didn't even glance at her until she started chasing after Qiao Qixi, calling out in a sweet, flirtatious tone.

Suddenly, things got complicated.

"???"

Qiao Qixi was flustered. 'Is Otis not handsome enough? Is his physique not good enough? Or did I not run fast enough? What's wrong with this female bear's eyes?'

'How could she choose someone as unreliable as me?'

Qiao Qixi: 'No, no, no, I won't.'

Indeed, even the researchers were surprised when the female bear bypassed Otis and went after Alexander.

After all, the people who adored Alexander had, without realizing it, developed the same mentality as Otis: whether Alexander was 500 pounds or 1,000 pounds, he was still their baby.

While the researchers were surprised but amused, Otis was clearly not in a good mood. He quickly stepped between the female polar bear and his little bear, exuding a low, oppressive aura.

He let out a series of warning growls that carried an intimidating force, as if the female bear's advances were an outright attack. At that moment, Otis seemed genuinely enraged, even with a hint of red in his eyes.

The situation escalated quickly. One moment, the snowy landscape was filled with pink bubbles, and the next, it turned into a battlefield.

The female polar bear recoiled, looking terrified, knowing that a male bear had an absolute advantage in a fight and could easily kill her.

"Roar—" Otis's roar echoed across the snow, driving the intruder away with terrifying ferocity.

This female polar bear probably had never encountered such an ungentlemanly male during the spring, but she had no choice. She had to give up on the rare male she had taken a liking to and leave, tail between her legs.

Behind her, Qiao Qixi was stunned, with only one thought in his mind: 'Otis is so fierce—even as his boyfriend, I'm a little scared.'

He also felt a bit guilty. In the past two years, he had enjoyed watching rivals openly try to steal Otis from him, never once feeling jealous.

'Jealousy? What's that?'

As they continued their journey, Otis growled at one suitor after another, chasing them away—some were after him, and some were after Qiao Qixi. The split was about seventy-thirty.

Qiao Qixi: 'Nonsense, it's more like fifty-fifty.'

Otis simply drove away the females, but when a male polar bear pursued Qiao Qixi, Otis chased him for two miles.

'Facepalm.'

All in all, the journey up the mountain was unusually eventful.

But isn't that to be expected?

Two prime, diamond-tier bachelors were bound to attract more attention.

Maybe that's why Otis was a bit more irritable. Whenever they stopped to rest, he couldn't help but nuzzle under Qiao Qixi's belly, seeking some relief.

Qiao Qixi, now an adult, found himself getting flustered when nudged.

Since he wasn't the type to dwell on such matters, he approached it academically, trying to understand what it felt like for a polar bear during this particular season.

'Ah, it's like countless little ants carrying tiny torches, crawling chaotically through your blood, bones, heart, and brain.'

'It's itchy and hot, stimulating the brain with the urge to do something to relieve it.'

It was definitely uncomfortable, but when he and Otis cuddled, it shamefully brought a bit of pleasure—just a little at first, then more and more, until it accumulated into heavy breathing and growls.

But that was as far as it went—Otis still hadn't figured out how to take it further.

For now, their interactions were limited to playful wrestling and cuddling.

'What a simple and easily satisfied boyfriend,' Qiao Qixi would muse after each session.

No matter how irritable or grumpy Otis was during the day, he always managed to calm down before bed.

No matter how gloomy or frustrated he was, a single kiss from Qiao seemed to cheer him up.

This time, Otis chose a rather distant snow mountain. Climbing up nearly cost the pampered little bear half his life. Sometimes, his daily exercise consisted only of rolling over in his sleep or getting up to eat.

'How cool is that?'

'Doesn't it make me look like a legendary polar bear?'

When they finally reached Otis's chosen spot, it was still dark—a perfect time for some private activities.

After finding a safe spot, Qiao placed the yellow bucket securely, using a rock to protect it from the strong winds on the snow mountain.

Otis was busy preparing their "small" nest, a space large enough for two hefty polar bears. He looked over at Qiao with an eager gaze, blinking his windblown eyes only occasionally.

His happiness was palpable; there was a visible sparkle in his dark eyes.

Qiao found it endearing, as it was different from Otis's usual calm and composed demeanor.

To be honest, Qiao felt a bit anxious, but after receiving Otis's enthusiastic invitation, he slowly made his way into the nest.

'Just cuddling,' Qiao reminded himself, turning his head to give Otis a haughty growl.

Otis responded with a low rumble, which Qiao interpreted as, 'Whatever you say.'

But that was just Qiao's interpretation. Once they cuddled for a while, Otis's kisses ventured into more sensitive areas, making Qiao realize that things weren't as simple as he had hoped.

He nervously shifted, but Otis quickly followed, soothing him with soft sounds, as if to say, 'Don't be afraid.'

'How can I not be afraid?'

"Woo woo..." Qiao tried to dispel Otis's intentions by acting cute.

But Otis only continued to soothe him, his touches growing more gentle and patient, while his breath carried an undeniable hint of desire.

His rhythmic breathing brushed against Qiao, causing his fur to stand on end.

"Woo woo..." Qiao kept trying to act cute.

'So Otis knew everything—what a sneaky bear.'

Otis hesitated, but he didn't stop. It seemed like his feelings, which had been building up for over a thousand days, were now too overwhelming to contain, overshadowing his usual deference to the little bear. He decided to let it all out.

It seemed he thought the time was right.

His patient exploration continued. Like many animals, it wouldn't be easy to get it right on the first try.

Otis was no exception, but his heart was full of love and care for the little bear, so he wouldn't be reckless.

This gentlemanly polar bear didn't even bite the back of Qiao's neck.

Female polar bears often try to escape when they can't bear the weight of their mate, and male polar bears typically use some force to hold them in place.

Qiao Qixi, of course, wouldn't try to escape, but he was trembling.

It wasn't as terrifying as he had imagined—likely because their sizes matched well. Otis's weight was within an acceptable limit, and there would be a period of adjustment.

Qiao comforted himself but didn't want to make it too easy for Otis, so he kept whining softly.

But, annoyingly, Otis didn't show any mercy.

"Woo woo..."

The howling winds atop the snow mountain drowned out the soft, coquettish sounds coming from their nest.

What Qiao didn't know was that his Otis was nowhere near as rough as other male polar bears.

In the wild, it's not uncommon for female polar bears to get injured during mating.

If Qiao Qixi had experienced the roughness of other male polar bears, he would have realized how gentle Otis truly was.

Very gentle.

But sometimes, emotions get the best of even the most restrained bears.

It was inevitable that Qiao would occasionally cry out loudly.

Otis couldn't possibly provide meticulous comfort like a human, but he did many things that other bears wouldn't.

He gently nibbled on Qiao's ears and cheeks with a tenderness that belied his heavy breathing.

Their scents influenced each other, and soon Qiao found himself in a similar state.

Once he fully engaged in their intimate relationship, it was the best response Otis could have hoped for.

A feeling stronger than joy spread through Otis, a sensation he couldn't fully understand or express with words.

But his every move conveyed an unmistakable, passionate love.

This love came with an overwhelming and intense possessiveness, interwoven with pleasure and discomfort.

Realizing that this was the price to pay, Qiao could only accommodate it slightly.

"Woo woo..."

The sensation of those tiny, fiery ants almost reaching their destination made Qiao's heart race.

Otis's movements also had a surprising effect on him, though it wasn't entirely unexpected.

Such things...

It all comes down to sensory input.

When all the senses are focused on one thing, the corresponding feelings naturally follow.

It's impossible to remain indifferent.

After what felt like an eternity, Otis affectionately bit the side of Qiao Qixi's neck—so plump now that Otis couldn't even feel the bone beneath.

It was all soft flesh.

The mixed scents of their passion filled the nest as the two white giants gradually calmed down.

Otis, aware of his own weight, wasted no time in lightening Qiao Qixi's load, proving once again what an excellent partner he was.

Instead of tending to his own needs, Otis focused on exploring the little bear's secrets, ensuring the air was filled with his scent.

Otis quickly and thoroughly eliminated these scents.

It was as if he didn't want any other polar bear to catch even a hint of Qiao Qixi's scent.

In the past, Qiao would feel exhausted after just a cuddle, but this time he experienced exhaustion three times more. As soon as Otis moved away, all the muscles in Qiao's body went into a near-catatonic state.

He couldn't muster any energy at all.

Sleepiness crept over the little bear, who had just experienced his first successful intimate moment. But he felt as if he hadn't really done anything at all.

Otis had done all the work.

...so Otis must be even more tired.

However, Otis meticulously took care of the aftermath, showing no signs of fatigue.

Just like in past years, his energy remained abundant.

Qiao Qixi wondered if it was just him being weak, but he didn't want to think about it. All he wanted was to close his eyes and sleep.

And to process the lingering sense of shame.

As he drifted off, one thought kept repeating in his mind: 'It happened—it really happened, with Otis.'

'Damn Otis, how did you know how to do all that?'

'Has he been spying on other polar bear couples?'

'That would be so annoying—he didn't even bring me along.'

Qiao fell into a deep sleep with these chaotic thoughts, while Otis remained busy.

He carefully groomed the little bear, and even after cleaning him thoroughly, he couldn't stop his affectionate licking and occasional gazing.

Though his expression was unreadable.

Finally, the gentlemanly giant decided to clean himself up—no way would he allow himself to be untidy.

After who knows how long, Otis also decided to curl up next to the little bear and get some rest.

For Otis, every spring before this had been about temporary relief through cuddling. But this time, it was the real deal—a true union.

It was what he had longed for.

Outside, the photographers kept an eye on the nest, hoping to catch a glimpse of Alexander emerging for some fresh air.

But they never did, leading to some concerns about these two male polar bears who were both in heat.

'What are they doing in there all the time?'

If Qiao knew what they were wondering, he'd be speechless. 'What else would two love-struck male polar bears be doing in a nest on a snowy mountaintop?'

'Obviously, what everyone knows they're doing.'

As the days went on, Otis's actions made Qiao Qixi deeply regret not eating more seals before coming up the mountain. At this rate, he was going to lose a whole size.

But for now, he wasn't regretting anything. When he woke up, feeling clean and refreshed, any lingering embarrassment turned into complete satisfaction.

Otis was such a good boyfriend.

Qiao lazily lifted a paw to lick himself clean...

Suddenly, he noticed Otis watching him with an incredibly deep gaze.

Polar bears can't smile, but Qiao could see the smile in his boyfriend's eyes.
