39. A Night Out

Wei Chang Feng laughed, “Being seduced? Hmm, I’ve always thought seducing is a girl’s job... ...”

Qi Le An invited Wei Chang Feng in, he turned around and tried to hide the disappointment when he heard ‘seducing is a girl’s job’, ‘chances are Wei Sama is straight’, thought Qi Le An. Wei Chang Feng put the cake on the table and said, “Drink some warm water, An, it’s a bit chilly today.”

Qi Le An nodded.

"Make sure you have tied your belt properly next time you open the door, imagine it was a girl who was knocking on your door.”

“Haha, I hurried to the door because I heard your voice.”

“All righty then, I will leave you be.” Wei Chang Feng rose to his feet.

“Have you eaten yet? Care to have some dinner with me?” replied Qi Le An promptly.

“Sounds good, I need to shower first though.”

“Ha, make sure you are decent when I knock your door.” said Qi Le An with a cheeky smile.

With that Wei Chang Feng took his leave.

Qi Le An stared at the cheesecake on the table in a trance, the tantalizing aroma wafted towards him.

Wei Chang Feng didn’t have a sweet tooth, and he thought Qi Le An would enjoy the cake more than him, so he bought the cake for Qi Le An to celebrate the huge success on his first day.

Qi Le An cut a small piece of the cake and indulged himself with the sweet and rich aroma.

‘I love him, and it’s okay if my feelings were not returned.’

‘I vowed to be revenged on people who have hurt me, and I also vowed to pay a debt of gratitude to Wei Chang Feng.’

‘I just want him to be happy, he deserves all the happiness in the world.’

It didn’t take Qi Le An long to reconstruct his inner peace, he was in such a blissful mood that he even caught himself humming when he was standing before his wardrobe, selecting an outfit for later. Then he texted Chen Shan that he couldn’t join him for dinner because he already had dinner plans with Wei Chang Feng.

It was getting dark, but Qi Le An didn’t turn on the light in his room, he sat in the dark and he swore he could hear the noise coming from next door. Wei Chang Feng’s room had the same layout as Qi Le An’s room, Qi Le An could even imagine what Wei Chang Feng was doing at that very moment from the noise.

Qi Le An got his phone ready when he thought Wei Chang Feng was done getting changed, and three seconds later... ...

Wei Chang Feng: What do you feel like for dinner?

Qi Le An chuckled: Food!

Wei Chang Feng thought for a little while and decided to take Qi Le An to the CBD area for a proper dinner, he called Gary and asked him to make a reservation at a Japanese restaurant.

Then Wei Chang Feng knocked on Qi Le An’s door, “Good, you are decent this time, shall we?”

Qi Le An nodded and followed Wei Chang Feng cheerfully.

Wei Chang Feng didn’t ask Gary to drive them, Qi Le An felt more at ease with no one around, he just kept on talking and talking about how he felt working with Director Chen and Wei Chang Feng, Wei Chang Feng would nod and reply gently from time to time.

“Anyways, Director Chen is so much nicer than I expected, I was so ready to get a good scolding!”

Wei Chang Feng laughed, “Haha, Director Chen just tends to strive for perfection constantly, and that’s him being responsible to his work and to the actors. I have learned so much from him, I believe you will too.”

“I will cherish this opportunity and absorb everything he said like a sponge! Wei Sama, I know you don’t have anything shooting tomorrow, are you going to the set still?”

Wei Chang Feng shook his head, “I have a commercial activity tomorrow.”

Qi Le An nodded in silence.

Soon Wei Chang Feng found a parking spot and he put on a cap and a pair of sunglasses before they got off the car. But Wei Chang Feng still got quite a few looks on the way from the parking lot to the restaurant, the waitress in their private room had recognized him before he even took off his sunglasses, the waitress managed to stifle the excitement and asked for an autograph calmly, she brought a fruit bowl before they ordered anything, “It’s on the house!”

“Wei Sama, no wonder you have the nickname of Wei Sama, everyone loves you!” Qi Le An could relate to the waitress who just asked for an autograph from Wei Chang Feng.

Wei Chang Feng who was texting someone now raised his head and said, “Don’t make fun of me, An.”

Qi Le An shrugged, “But it’s the truth.”

The waitress had served everything they had ordered within ten minutes, Qi Le An couldn’t help but wonder whether this was Wei Chang Feng’s special treatment.

Wei Chang Feng mixed the soy sauce and wasabi for Qi Le An, “The sashimi platter looks so good!”

Qi Le An’s mouth became watery on seeing the platter, “It looks perfect!”

“An, on a second thought, I probably shouldn’t have taken you here, this place looks legit and all, but I don’t want the seafood to upset your stomach.” Wei Chang Feng frowned slightly.

“Wei Sama, that’s not fair! It’s like taking a kid to a pet store and not buying him a puppy! It’s basically traumatizing!”

Wei Chang Feng was amused by Qi Le An, “I’m sorry, but you have work tomorrow, I don’t want to take any risks!”

Qi Le An pouted.

“But after dinner I will take you somewhere else to make up to you!”

Qi Le An was intrigued, “Where can we go though? Everyone knows you!”

Qi Le An was grateful for the waitress who had kept a secret for them, no one else had bothered them the whole time.

Wei Chang Feng took Qi Le An to the amusement arcade on the fourth floor, Qi Le An looked at Wei Chang Feng with disbelief, ‘Are you kidding me, Wei Sama? Do you have any idea how many young people are inside right now?’

Wei Chang Feng winked at Qi Le An, ‘I’ve got this!’

“Do you mind exchanging some coins?” Wei Chang Feng beamed.

There was a cluster of people who was in line already, Qi Le An didn’t want to create any disturbance, so he said, “I’ll go.”

Wei Chang Feng stuffed the money into Qi Le An’s hand and grinned, “I’ll be right there waiting for you, the basketball area.”

Qi Le An nodded and went to exchange coins.

“Hi, five hundred coins please.” Qi Le An had no idea why Wei Chang Feng insisted on exchanging so many coins.

The staff member was a young girl, she couldn’t help but raise her head when she heard ‘five hundred coins’, then she covered her mouth, “Qi... you are Qi... ...”

Qi Le An shushed the girl and whispered, “I sneaked out for some fun, please don’t tell anybody I’m here, I really really need to relax.”

The girl’s heart melted when Qi Le An looked at her with the puppy eyes, she nodded her head knowingly and gave him an assuring smile, with that she entered a few numbers on the machine and then she handed a basket full of coins to Qi Le An.

“Thank you so much for keeping a secret for me.” Qi Le An beamed at the girl.

The girl was a bit starstruck, she just stared at Qi Le An’s retiring figure without asking for an autograph, and she regretted it so much after she came to her senses.

Qi Le An found Wei Chang Feng who was waiting for him the the basketball lane, luckily, people seemed to be more interested in other games, they were the only people who were in the basketball area.

“Wei Sama, I wonder can we spend all the coins.” Qi Le An handed a basket full of coins to Wei Chang Feng.

Wei Chang Feng rolled up his sleeves and said, “The answer is a big fat yes!”

The two’s eyes met and they laughed simultaneously.

“All right, An, I’m gonna put on my game face. Let’s have a competition, all right?” with that Wei Chang Feng operated two machines at the same time, “You take the left lane, and the right one is mine, in 3, 2, 1! Here we go!”

Qi Le An wasn’t into basketball, he was so nervous when Wei Chang Feng said they were going to have a competition, he tried so hard to aim at the basketry, but unfortunately he would miss the aim nine times out of ten.

Qi Le An had only had one in within thirty seconds, and Wei Chang Feng on the other hand had won himself ten seconds of bonus time.

Wei Chang Feng looked at Qi Le An’s screen with disbelief, “I’m sorry, An, somehow I thought you are great at all sports.”

“Wei Sama, I haven’t even touched a basketball before, I was sold to Glory when I was very young... ...”

Wei Chang Feng’s heart sank as he heard that, ‘Poor boy doesn’t even enjoy his childhood!’

Wei Chang Feng ignored his bonus time notification, he turned around and said, “Let me teach you, An!”

Qi Le An’s eyes sparkled, “Really?”

“Of course!” Wei Chang Feng put a few coins in the slots and walked towards Qi Le An, “Let’s work on your posture first, put your hand like this... ...”

They were standing so close to each other, Qi Le An could feel Wei Chang Feng’s breaths on his neck, it felt like everything else around him were fading out, Wei Chang Feng and his voice was all Qi Le An could feel at that moment.

“Then you just shoot like this!” with that Wei Chang Feng grabbed Qi Le An’s hands and made a shoot.

The ball hit the rim of basketry with a beautiful trajectory and fell into it.

“Congratulations, An! It’s not that hard, yeah?”

Qi Le An grinned like a little boy, “Yay me!”

Wei Chang Feng handed him another ball, Qi Le An recalled what Wei Chang Feng just taught him, he squatted a little bit and adjusted his balance as he made the shoot.

Another hit!

No one had noticed the two stars who were playing basketball in the corner of this amusement arcade, only they knew how much fun they were having... .
