At Allison’s lounge.

Lola handed Emma a glass of water. Emma took it and thanked her. It seemed to dawn on her that she was no longer Sadie’s agent, but Allison’s.

Initially, Emma had never thought it would turn out this way. She thought she would leave Epic Entertainment, even prepared to quit the industry, and braced herself for Patty’s backlash.

Epic Entertainment was a big entertainment company, so leaving would put a lot of pressure on her.

She foresaw that after leaving Epic Entertainment, she might be half blacklisted by the industry, and other entertainment companies would not welcome her.

Lola handed Allison a glass of water, “Allison, you guys chat. I’ll head out now. If anything comes up, give me a call.”

Allison looked at Emma, “Regarding your salary, I’ll have Patty renegotiate a contract with you. You’ll be working with me from now on. Of course, if you find a better opportunity, just let me know. You can leave any time.”

Emma said seriously, “No, now that I’m your agent, I can’t just up and leave. That wouldn’t be right.”

Allison laughed, “Don’t be so serious. Let’s just chat like friends and get to know each other.”

A scented candle was lit in the lounge, filling the air with a light lemon fragrance and calming Emma’s previous excitement.

Looking at Allison’s face, Emma suddenly thought Allison was like a shining star, making her feel both admiration and fondness. She swore to devote herself to planning Allison’s future.

After the chat, Emma stood up, “Wait for me, I’m going to get my bag from my office.”

Five minutes later, Emma returned, panting heavily. It seemed she had run all the way to her office and back.

Her office was right next to Sadie’s lounge; she didn’t want to stay there a second longer.

“Sadie has three dramas coming up, one supporting role and two low-budget leading roles, as well as some endorsements. Epic Entertainment is really backing her.” Emma said.

Allison glanced over, “Just these three dramas? The quality is average, the production team is mediocre, and the script isn’t great either.” Emma said, “True, they’re average. But among dramas of the same level, these are already the best. She can pick the majority of the company resources, except for Patty’s. Allison, Epic Entertainment is funding a modern drama with a unique theme. The leading role has been cast, but the supporting role is still open.”

Allison glanced at the script, “It’s not bad, but the production team isn’t great, and the director’s control over the plot is just so-so.”

Emma hadn’t expected Allison to be so picky. She started to feel a bit anxious. Allison’s situation at Epic Entertainment seemed difficult. It seemed like Patty didn’t like her much.

Allison’s acting skills were superb. Even though she didn’t get many chances to perform, she always gave it her all. She was beautiful. Being a great actress, she was never late on set. So why didn’t Patty like her?

Could it be because she had a boyfriend?
