She grabbed the nurse’s hand tightly, “Didn’t we already pay the medical bills?”

The Flanagan family didn’t keep their promise. They said as long as she played “Penelope, they would take good care of Grace, right?

‘I’m not sure about this either, it seems that one of her relatives just came and handled it. By the way, are you a relative of hers? You can go pay for this week’s infusion cost first.”

Relative? She and Grace only had each other; what other relatives were there? Only she and Leah Flanagan–Eaden were here just now.

Allison clenched her hand and went to pay the infusion cost first, but when she saw the medication list, she felt a surge of anger burning in her chest.

These weren’t the imported miracle drugs from overseas. She gritted her teeth. Leah Flanagan–Eaden had deceived her!

She paid for Grace’s hospital stay again, requesting the nurse to move Grace to a double room, and specifically emphasized the use of the best medication for treatment.

She charged all this money to the Flanagan family’s account. Standing at the end of the corridor, she watched from a distance through the crowd until she made sure Grace entered the room before she felt slightly relieved. But she couldn’t stop the tears from falling.

After seeing Miranda, Lucian didn’t go to find “Penelope” for several days due to being busy, which made Allison feel much more relaxed.

After class one day, she was dragged by Daisy to visit Northfield’s annual high–end jewelry exhibition, which was attended by prestigious businessmen from Northfield.

Allison didn’t expect to get separated from Daisy after only staying in the pearl exhibition area for a while.

After texting Daisy, Allison suddenly heard a flattering voice by her ear.

“Mr. Lindberg, this is the ruby cane passed down from the 1660s, said to have been left by Queen Elyrus. It was bought by an auction house a week ago. It’s quite a treasure.”

She was taken aback and almost instinctively turned around to see Lucian surrounded by people not far away.

Allison didn’t understand why, but she suddenly took out her phone and took a picture of Lucian.

Meanwhile, Lucian, who was visiting the exhibition, seemed to feel something. He looked up in a certain direction but only had time to see the familiar back of that woman.
