Chapter 251
The Billionaire’s Maid Bride
When Penelope got back to the Flanagan Manor, Margo sauntered over, âMiss Flanagan, Allison has moved outâ
Penelope looked surprised, âShe moved out?â
She made her way to the balcony door, pushed it open, and saw the back cottage was locked up.
She went upstairs to the study to find Leah, âMom, why didnât you stop Allison from leaving?â
âWhy would I stop her?â Leah responded, âShe has her own life, and we canât interfere Plus, we still have Grace, whatâs there to worry about?â
Penelope walked over, Iâm just worried that with her out of our sight, unpredictable things might happen.â
Unpredictable things? Penelope, sort out your own mess first.â
Penelope, not wanting to upset Leah, went over and clung to her arm, âMom, donât worry Iâll handle it. I promise âThatâs good.â Leah nodded, looking at her daughter. She was perfect in every way, except she was impulsive and didnât think about the consequences of her actions. Leah had spoiled her too much.
As for Allison, Leah was growing to dislike her more and more. Allison looked just like Penelope, but she was Graceâs daughter Grace had always overshadowed Leah in every way. Whenever they were together, most of the attention was on Grace.
Although Leah was the daughter of a prestigious family, while Grace came from humble beginnings, Leah always felt like she was living in Graceâs shadow.
And now it was happening with her daughter too. Penelope and Allison looked alike, but Allison surpassed her in every way. Even though Graceâs family lived in a humble house, Graceâs daughter Allison was always excellent, which was hard to accept for Leah.
âPenelope, invite Lucian and Miranda over for dinner in the next few days, letâs strengthen the bond between our families.â
Penelope had her own plan. She couldnât get Lucian to see her alone as he was always busy with work.
So she called Miranda, who immediately agreed, âSure, letâs do Wednesday. Lucian and I will come over.â
âGreat, Miranda. Iâll prepare the meal for you guys.â
Miranda was very concerned about the baby Penelope was carrying, âTake care of yourself. Why did you rush out of the hospital? You could have stayed a few more days. Howâs your health now?
Anything feeling off?â After all, the baby in her belly was a Lindberg.
âMiranda, Iâve got my meds to prevent a miscarriage. The doctor said I just need to rest at homeâ
On Wednesday afternoon, Miranda called Lucian, âLucian, are you free tonight?â
The man glanced at his watch, âHmm, whatâs up, Mom?â
âCome with me to the Flanagan Manor, I havenât seen Penelope in a while. You too, you donât visit much.â
âMom, you go aheadâ
âAw, come on, isnât Penelope your fiancée? Sheâs carrying your baby, I canât just go aloneâ Miranda sensed her sonâs hesitation. She started to wonder if Lucian was neglecting Penelope because of Allison.
After some insistence from Miranda, Lucian agreed.
At 6:25 pm, a black business sedan pulled up in front of the Flanagan Manor.
