Love Unbreakable by Bank Brook
Chapter 986:

Mitchel tried to locate the source of the smell, but his body failed him and only his eyelashes fluttered like butterfly wings.
As she left Mitchel's room, Raegan managed to hold back the tears that had welled up in her eyes.
The lights in the hallway were dim and Matteo didn't look directly at Raegan's face, so he didn't notice the signs of her distress. However, an invisible sadness continued to surround her, impossible to remove.
Matteo comforted Raegan: âMiss Foster, don't worry. Tomorrow's operation will surely be successful. Mr. Stevens has made all the necessary preparations. "We must have faith in him and trust that Mitchel will move forward."
Raegan felt a deep pain, but hid it with a calm exterior, simply nodding. «Yes, everything will be fine. Please take care of him."
Matteo stated: âIt is my responsibility.â
But after answering, Matteo felt that something was wrong. What did Raegan mean by asking her to take care of Mitchel in the future? Were you planning to go somewhere? He didn't dare ask him directly. After studying his expression, he found that it seemed normal, which worried him a little.
âI'm leaving, Matteo,â Raegan said and quickly left. She felt that if she delayed, her grief would overwhelm her.
The next day, at seven in the morning, Raegan was already on a plane heading abroad. Victor and Erick accompanied her.
Seeing Raegan continually looking out the window in the direction of Ardlens, Erick thought for a moment, then said, "Raegan, if you're worried, we can go back."
"No need, Erick." With that, Raegan pulled the blanket around her, closed her eyes, and began to sleep.
Eric sighed. He could see that Raegan really didn't want to leave.
Even at the hospital, when Raegan had improved to the point of being discharged, she had stayed because of her concern for Mitchel.
But on the day of Mitchel's operation, he insisted on leaving, which Erick suspected was his way of trying to escape.
Abroad, at three in the morning, Erick received a call from Ardlens. It was an update on Mitchel's condition.
Mitchel's operation had gone without a hitch, and now all he needed was to slowly recover. It was estimated that it would take between three and four more months for him to get back on his feet. After all, he had suffered a serious gunshot wound to the chest. Although it had not hit any vital organs, it had affected some of the mobility of his joints.
The knee was shattered and, after an operation to remove the fragments and clean the area, he had been fitted with a 3D-printed joint prosthesis. It would take about six months to fully recover and adapt. The recovery was not going to be quick.
Erick relayed this good news to Raegan, who took a moment before softly responding, "That's great."
Raegan then retired to her room. Once inside, he closed the door, sat on the edge of the bed and joined his hands in prayer. «Thank you, God. Thank you for answering my prayers.
A month later, in a high-end hospital room in Ardlens.
Mitchel, dressed in a khaki hospital gown and looking thin but unmistakably handsome, heard a sharp knock on the door. âCome in,â he replied, without emotion.
A young nurse entered, pushing an IV stand. When she noticed Mitchel's striking appearance, her cheeks blushed.
Looking at her closely, the nurse had put on makeup that was difficult to distinguish, giving her a falsely natural appearance. Her white nurse uniform gave her an innocent but subtly seductive appearance.
However, Mitchel did not pay attention to him, indifferent to whoever came in to set the route for him.
