Chapter 965
Love Unbreakable by Bank Brook
Chapter 965:
? ? ? ? ?
Katie, stunned and in shock, was a frightening sight. Blood pooled around her and, horrifyingly, next to her, on the floor, lay a piece of her own flesh from her mouth.
Lorenzo had cut off Katie's mouth.
Katie lay helpless on the ground, unable to defend herself from such a sudden and brutal attack. How could someone be so monstrously cruel, walk in without a word and inflict such damage? He burned with hatred.
Lorenzo looked indifferently at Katie's prone form, seeing her as nothing more than a failure, a woman who, despite her efforts and ploys, could not handle a simple confrontation.
In Lorenzo's eyes, Katie was nothing more than a disposable object, another victim of his twisted games.
He took out a silk handkerchief to wipe his hands and carefully wiped away the blood splatters in front of him, offering a smile. "Since that woman has shown up, I'll spare your life for Davey's sake. Thank you."
Katie's face was ghostly pale. Near her, a decorative mirror reflected her image.
In the mirror, she appeared horribly disfigured, her features twisted into a grotesque likeness that was almost too painful to contemplate.
Katie was furious and unreconciled. Because? Pride had always been his armor, his unwavering belief in his own superiority. How could she be reduced to this, to be treated like trash?
"Mr. Maxwellâ¦â Katieâs voice was weak. «You were deceived by Mitchel. "I know who murdered his wife."
This statement caught Lorenzo's attention, stopping him in his tracks. He turned around and approached her, abruptly asking, "Who?"
Although Lorenzo did not sincerely love his late wife, finding someone who matched his own level of malevolence was rare.
For Lorenzo, it was more about the challenge of compatibility. The murder of his wife was not only a loss, but a direct affront to his authority, a provocation he could not ignore. So he risked confronting Mitchel, driven by the need to prove that his authority was not to be challenged.
Katie's ruined lips moved to speak: "It's..."
Lorenzo leaned closer to her. "Who? "Speak louder!"
âIt's Mr. Richardâ¦â Katie barely managed to say the last name before Lorenzo's mind began to race, scanning his memory for any adversary with that name.
But before Lorenzo could gather his thoughts, a sudden sting interrupted him. Looking down, he saw a syringe embedded in his arm.
Katie, despite her injuries, smiled grotesquely, her mouth stained with blood.
Lorenzo reached for his weapon, but his reactions were slow, the drug quickly sapped his strength. A numb feeling quickly spread throughout his body. Lorenzo had been injected with a high-potency, fast-acting anesthetic, which took effect in a matter of seconds.
"You!" Was all Lorenzo managed to say, before collapsing.
Katie's laughter echoed maniacally as she staggered to her feet, clutching the knife that had mutilated her face. With frantic energy, he stabbed the knife repeatedly into Lorenzo's face.
One stab, then another, and another... He aimed only at her face, each thrust more merciless than the last. His once handsome face was brutally transformed into a grotesque mask of blood and tissue.
Laughing hysterically, Katie stabbed relentlessly, each movement accompanied by the curse: "Go to hell!"
Who would have imagined that Lorenzo, the feared lord of Aurora, would meet death at the hands of a woman he had underestimated?
