Chapter 962

Love Unbreakable by Bank Brook

Chapter 962:

? ? ? ? ?

“Mmmph… Mmmph…” Desperate and struggling to breathe, Katie frantically tried to signal to the unsuspecting guard that her mouth was gagged.

Finally realizing it, the guard quickly removed the gag and asked urgently, "Where is the man?"

“It’s…” Before Katie could complete her warning, a sharp “bang” resounded.

Mitchel had already raised his makeshift crutch and hit the guard in the back of the head, knocking him unconscious before he could react.

Enraged and clenching her teeth, Katie cursed, “You idiot, completely stupid!”

Mitchel ignored her. With precision, he used his hand like a blade, striking the unconscious guard in the neck once again, a pressure point technique that ensured the guard would not wake up for three hours.

Then, grabbing his makeshift crutch for support, Mitchel limped on his severely damaged left knee, moving with obvious difficulty. He dragged the unconscious guard to the side.

Sweat beaded his forehead and he was panting heavily, tension evident on his face.

Tasks that were once trivial now posed a significant challenge. His left knee was completely destroyed. Moving meant dragging the injured leg, which aggravated the injury. However, he had no choice.

His initial surrender was strategic, prompted by his discovery that the North Tower's service personnel had not been evacuated. In order not to provoke Lorenzo, a madman capable of detonating explosives indiscriminately and harming innocents, Mitchel had chosen not to resist.

With the death of Lorenzo's beloved wife within the borders of Ardlens, it was inevitable that Lorenzo would come to wreak havoc.

Mitchel had deliberately drawn suspicion on himself days before to set a trap for Lorenzo.

Indeed, Lorenzo had taken the bait. However, he had unexpectedly managed to obtain explosives, even in a country with regulations as strict as Ardlens, a testament to his formidable influence. Such a dangerous man had to be stopped.

Although Raegan had indicated that she was safe, Mitchel felt the urgent need to locate her, driven by a mixture of worry and unresolved tension.

After getting ready, Mitchel tore another strip of cloth and used a plank to make a makeshift splint for his leg.

Katie was still trembling on the floor when suddenly, through the walkie-talkie, Lorenzo's furious voice sounded: “Don't let Katie out of your sight. I'm going back to cut out his tongue..."

Lorenzo ended the transmission abruptly, without waiting for a response.

Katie was shocked. As? Lorenzo had not found Raegan. Where could Raegan have gone? She had personally made sure Raegan was safely locked up. Could Raegan have escaped?

Mitchel was approaching with the initial intention of knocking Katie out and leaving her in the hands of the special forces. However, he stopped when he heard Lorenzo's chilling threat.

Katie's face turned eerily pale, like paper. He had already heard enough rumors about Lorenzo's madness, including the horrible story that he had killed his own mother.

In his isolated palace far from Ardlens, he was infamous for his elaborate torture methods, and whispers suggested he had even made lanterns from human skin.

When Lorenzo unleashed his madness, he became a law unto himself, giving free rein to his darkest whims without restraint. Their methods were cruel, intentionally designed to inflict excruciating pain.

Katie couldn't bear the thought of staying, a fate too horrifying for her to even consider. «Please, Mitchel. I confess everything. Take me to the police. I will admit all charges. But don't leave me here…” he pleaded in a desperate voice.

Kneeling on the ground, chained and desperate, Katie knew that being with Mitchel, despite his contempt for her and his limited time, was much safer than staying here.

Now knowing that Raegan was pregnant, Mitchel wanted to see Raegan and wouldn't hurt anyone. If he would only take her to the police, he believed he could somehow secure her freedom. As long as she wasn't handed over to Lorenzo, she was willing to do anything.

Katie cried out loud, no longer caring about her appearance. «Mitchel, please don't leave me with Lorenzo. I beg you..."
