Chapter 948

Love Unbreakable by Bank Brook

Chapter 948:

? ? ? ? ?

Two hours earlier, the special forces had received information that Lorenzo, a ruthless man with many murders under his belt, was at the International Banquet Center. They closely monitored the entrance to the center and managed to evacuate everyone safely. Initially, they had planned that the informant,

Mitchel, left too.

However, Mitchel claimed that it was too late and that Lorenzo was specifically after him. He stayed inside to help with the operation.

Although everything seemed perfectly organized, Lorenzo had managed to plant explosives in the banquet center without being detected.

Now, Mitchel's life was in immediate danger. The situation was critical and required quick action.

After confirming that Matteo had a clear path, the commander did not hesitate and said: "Make the call."

Matteo used the satellite phone.

Raegan's phone was designed for these types of critical situations. It could be tracked via satellite and was resistant to signal jammers, allowing calls to be made over the satellite connection.

Raegan's phone emitted a long series of monotonous beeps. Nobody took it.

In her room, Raegan was crouched in a corner next to the bed and the wall, her hands clasped over her ears. The explosion had nearly burst his eardrums.

Luckily, the blankets had muffled the sound while she was sleeping, or the shock could have knocked her unconscious, endangering her life.

After the initial shock faded, the air was thick with the smell of gunpowder. Raegan knew it wasn't an earthquake.

This afternoon, he had been watching television in his room when Henley suddenly appeared on the screen, only for it to be abruptly cut off.

Raegan knew that Mitchel's wedding was taking place at the hotel, but she didn't have the courage to attend. Furthermore, Mitchel had explicitly prohibited him from returning to the country. Since it was a forced stopover, he preferred not to cause problems and stay the night in his room.

She slept until almost dusk, when the explosion woke her up. Disoriented, she thought it was an earthquake and ran out of bed to safety.

Once the noise subsided, Raegan stood up and noticed her phone vibrating on the bed. He answered just as the last buzzing ended.

"Hello?"

Came Matteo's tense voice. «Miss Foster, you have finally answered…».

Puzzled, Raegan recognized the voice. “Matteo?”

Matteo got straight to the point. "Mr. Dixon, something has happened to you."

Raegan was confused. Wasn't Mitchel supposed to be in the middle of a wedding?

How could something have happened to him?

After Matteo quickly explained the situation, Raegan blinked, still silently processing the revelation.

She did not expect that Mitchel would suffer a serious illness or that the cause of her illness would come from the syringe that Lauren had injected into her, the injection originally intended for her. All of these things were beyond his wildest dream.

Then Raegan's mind drifted to Mitchel. Had he been suffering alone all this time?

In an instant, she felt completely overwhelmed, panic consuming her.
