Chapter 917

Love Unbreakable by Bank Brook

Chapter 917:

? ? ? ? ?

The screen showed the opulent midday banquet, with guests milling around a place lavishly decorated with flowers, highlighting the considerable expense incurred for the wedding.

The elegantly dressed groom, Mitchel, and the beautiful bride, Katie, walked hand in hand towards the entrance podium.

Seeing this, Raegan felt the urge to look away. She was not one to torment herself and, being pregnant, she could do without emotional tension.

It was an important step for her to disassociate herself from Mitchel's actions.

The further away I was, the less I felt.

Just as Raegan was about to turn off the TV, the background noise abruptly stopped.

Dressed in a crisp white suit, the polished but trickster Henley slowly applauded as he took the stage.

"What a wonderful day today," Henley announced, with a smile that betrayed insincerity as he addressed the newlyweds. "On behalf of the Dixon family, congratulations, Mitchel."

His words moved the crowd.

In the name of the Dixon family... What did that entail?

Past incidents at the company had been hidden to protect the Dixons' reputation.

Although they had been kept secret, rumors had circulated, leaving many in the area unaware of Henley's true connection to the Dixons.

The audience murmured, perplexed as to how Henley could represent the Dixon family.

On stage, Mitchel's face showed displeasure. Henley and Alexis, along with some shareholders, had been explicitly excluded from the event.

Yet there they were, invitations in hand.

Mitchel turned to Katie, who was standing next to him dressed in white. His statement was not a question, but a statement. "You sent them the invitations."

Surprised by Mitchel's cunning, Katie felt her heart pound and her fingers tighten. In fact, at Henley's request, he had distributed invitations disguised under the guise of the bride to all relevant shareholders.

However, Katie kept up her charade, reluctant to admit it. «Mitchel, I don't know what you're talking about…»

"Interesting!" Mitchel scoffed, turning around with -_ apparent indifference to Katie's explanations or actions.

Smothered by his disdainful gaze, Katie found herself speechless, her face struggling to maintain composure.

With the situation developing as it was, Katie decided to abandon her pretense. After all, Mitchel's downfall was imminent, and she would soon dictate how he was perceived.

Onstage, Henley stood confidently, his lips curled into a slight, proud smile. Today he planned to avenge past humiliations and ensure that Mitchel suffered a dramatic fall from grace. "As a member of the Dixon family, I have a few words to say."

Henley's statement caused further unrest among the crowd. From representing the Dixons, Henley now claimed to be one of them. What a mess.

The audience hummed with mixed reactions, but Mitchel's expression remained unfazed.
