Chapter 910

Love Unbreakable by Bank Brook

Chapter 910:

? ? ? ? ?

Even after five years apart and their recent reunion, the bridge remained a symbol of their shared love, filled with fond memories of joy and tranquility.

Raegan stood on the bridge and said goodbye to the past.

The letters “DG” on top of the Dixon Group building shone like stars in the sky, but Raegan's heart felt as dark as a cave.

As she looked into the distance, a man's voice surprised her. "It's impressive, right?"

Raegan turned to see Henley standing over her, and her face darkened like a storm cloud.

Unfazed by his expression, Henley looked at the glowing letters, a smile on his lips. «I also enjoy this view. “From here you can see the entire Dixon Group tower in its entirety.”

Raegan tried to pull away, but Henley grabbed her arm, his grip as hard as metal.

“Let go of me!” Raegan protested.

Instead of letting her go, Henley hugged her and pressed her face against his chest, silencing her protests.

Raegan struggled to breathe as Henley held her tighter. “Henley, please,” he gasped, but his words fell on deaf ears.

Henley had no intention of letting go of Raegan.

Fighting against her strength proved futile and only served to exhaust her further. Raegan stopped struggling, submitting to Henley's hold.

Henley ran her fingers through his hair, enjoying his obedience. With a voice filled with resentment, he began: “When I was a child, I loved the word “noble.” Why must Mitchel live a life of wealth and privilege, while I, an illegitimate outcast, live like a vermin in the shadows?

Raegan feigned a listening posture, discreetly reaching into her bag.

Henley was like a man possessed as he shared his secret: “Raegan, I have something to tell you.”

Henley pointed his finger toward the great dome, his eyes shining with greed. «I should be there, at the pinnacle of power. "I should be the one there, not Mitchel." He laughed, a manic gleam in his eyes.

Raegan listened intently, hanging on every word, trying to make sense of his tirade.

«Do you know how much I have suffered? All the pain, the humiliation... It was never for me! "Everything must return to its place." Henley growled, tightening his grip on Raegan.

"What do you mean?" Raegan asked.

Henley, his smile widening, just laughed and said, "You'll soon find out."

Sensing an opportunity, Raegan tried to haggle. «Let me go first. Then I'll listen to what you have to say."

Henley leaned toward her, his chin resting on her hair, his voice heavy with longing. «Raegan, if Mitchel didn't have his wealth and status, would you have fallen in love with him? If it were me who had everything, would you have loved me?

His questions hung in the air, but Raegan's response, despite being muffled, was clear. "No".

Henley's mask of civility was torn off in a flash of rage, and he stared at Raegan, his eyes bloodshot. "Why not?" he demanded, furious.
