Chapter 909
Love Unbreakable by Bank Brook
Chapter 909:

Although the boy lacked certain organs, his features bore an eerie resemblance to the deceased Abel, which intensified Katie's disgust.
A resigned Katie raised her hand, determined to once again hide the nightmare child under the black cloth. He thought that if it was not seen, it would be as if it were not there.
Since Abel had been willing to sacrifice himself to protect this child, Katie had no qualms about sending him to join Abel in the underworld. This way, they could stay together forever in the afterlife. Twisted logic settled into Katie's mind. He felt like he had done a good deed.
Despite the child's worthlessness, Katie, ever the opportunist, was not going to abandon her investment. Any suffering he endured would be repaid to him, with interest.
In Katie's mind, if she couldn't get her retribution now, she would make sure the Maxwell family wiped out Raegan's entire family after the wedding. He wanted to see if Mitchel's weak body could withstand the might of the illustrious Maxwell family, given their determination to protect Raegan. By sending Raegan into exile, did Mitchel really believe that was enough to protect her from the consequences?
Ironically, the Maxwells had more influence in foreign lands than in Ardlens. Katie figured she could make Raegan turn into a million pieces with just a snap of her fingers.
Upon returning from the hospital, Raegan fell into a deep sleep, too exhausted to do anything but rest.
Erick, upon learning of her terrible experience, went to see her, but when he saw her asleep he did not want to wake her and sat on the couch to wait. He slept peacefully until dawn, when she woke up.
Seeing Erick sleeping on the couch, Raegan carefully spread him a blanket, waking him from his slumber.
In a reflex move, Erick grabbed Raegan's hand, exclaiming, "Raegan!" His eyes were full of worry and panic.
Raegan's comforting pat calmed Erick's worries like a cool breeze.
Only then did he fully wake up, relieved to see Raegan right in front of him. He couldn't help but scrutinize her, still a little anxious, and asked, "Are you sure you're okay?"
Raegan nodded, assuring him, "I'm fine." A small but genuine smile graced his lips.
Erick's anger flared like an inferno as he thought of Katie's repeated plans against Raegan. âI won't let him get away with this,â he swore, his voice heavy with determination.
Raegan put a comforting hand on Erick's shoulder. «Hey, please don't confront them. Ardlens is not our territory, and it would be best to avoid conflict. Let's go back home. Our father isn't getting any younger, and we certainly don't want him to be caught in the middle of this. Why don't we put an end to this?
«Erick, we have been away too long. "I want to return to our father."
Raegan pleaded, her voice tinged with concern.
Erick lovingly ran his fingers through her hair, impressed by her resilience and compassion, which reminded him of his mother. He had promised to protect Raegan, always putting her wishes first.
With a shake of his head, he replied, "Okay, I'll listen to you."
The next day, Raegan took care of some urgent company business, fully aware of Mitchel's ultimatum.
Elin, Raegan's trusted friend, offered to take charge of the study, which would allow Raegan to return to her father's side without worries. Raegan gratefully accepted Elin's help.
After finishing her work, Raegan chose to walk home, savoring the solitude.
Without realizing it, he found himself near the Dixon Group, a few steps from a nearby cultural park.
He found Lover's Bridge, adorned with flowers that bloomed in all seasons. This bridge was a testimony to eternal love, which flourishes in all seasons of life.
Lover's Bridge was an important part of Raegan's life, especially during his time in the Dixon Group. She and Mitchel crossed the bridge when they met, and their relationship blossomed, as did the flowers that adorned it.
