Chapter 880
Love Unbreakable by Bank Brook
Chapter 880:
? ? ? ? ?
Upon reflection, Erick realized that he had not seen Elin for several days, probably due to his recent worries.
Of course, being worried was no excuse to avoid someone.
In part, this avoidance was due to the fact that, since their last meeting, Erick often dreamed about his intimate moments with Elin.
Her soft moans, reminiscent of a distressed kitten, had elicited an unwanted response from him in those dreams.
Before, Erick had never seen himself as someone driven by desire.
He suspected that it was his youthful impulses that had caused him to lose control. However, when the women at the bar approached him, he felt nothing but disgust. Just being around them was horrible to him, not to mention the idea of ââbeing intimate.
His mind was in chaos. On the one hand, it felt monstrous, since Elin had just become an adult and yet he repeatedly dreamed of sleeping with her. On the other hand, he struggled to understand his own feelings and thoughts. Why did he have these feelings only for Elin, even though he considered her a brotherly figure? It filled him with guilt.
Erick put the glass aside and took a four-leaf clover necklace out of his pocket. A childhood friend had suggested it, mentioning that girls appreciated gifts like earrings and necklaces.
Erick had been instantly attracted to that red four-leaf clover necklace, a symbol of happiness. He had carried it with him for several days, always with the intention of giving it to Elin, but without finding the perfect moment.
With determination, Erick finished his glass of frozen lemonade and decided to give it to Elin the next day.
The next day, after settling some business matters, Erick tried to call Elin. However, the interlocutor's tone sounded disconnected, which made him frown. Unwilling to accept it, he dialed again, but the number was still disconnected.
Erick paused for a moment and sent a question mark to Elin.
Immediately, a bright red exclamation mark appeared.
Erick had never imagined that Elin would block him. He reflected on the last few days, convinced that he had done nothing wrong. His evasion was nothing more than to avoid any discomfort. Why... I couldn't make sense of it.
The red four-leaf clover necklace was inside a pretty gift box on the table. Erick took one look and closed the box firmly, throwing it into the trash can.
He had no time to think about the thoughts of a young girl. If it was so, so be it.
Erick got up, ready to attend a meeting, but before leaving he looked at the gift box in the trash can and impulsively bent down to pick it up.
The trash can in the administrative office was empty, it had just been replaced.
After all, it was the first necklace Erick had bought, and it didn't seem right to throw it away. He placed it in a far corner of a drawer and pushed it out of his mind.
Shortly after, an important project demanded his attention for almost three weeks, keeping him away from home.
When the project was finally finished, the company celebrated with a big banquet, at which Erick drank a lot. When he got into the car, he felt completely exhausted.
The driver asked him: "Sir, are we going to the apartment or...?"
Erick massaged his temples, feeling a slight pain in his throat and a craving for the soothing taste of frozen lemonade. He replied: "Let's go home."
The car soon arrived at the Foster family farm.
Erick entered and found the living room unchanged. He took off his suit and collapsed on the couch, exhausted.
