Chapter 875

Love Unbreakable by Bank Brook

Chapter 875:

? ? ? ? ?

At the driver's worried gaze, Elin quickly adjusted her clothes, worried that he might notice something strange. In a hoarse voice, he apologized: "I'm sorry to worry you."

The driver tenderly stroked Elin's head and asked with genuine concern: "What happened?" Why are your eyes red and swollen?

Before Elin could respond, Erick approached, frowning at her still standing in the cold wind. "Why aren't you in the car?"

Elin looked down and replied softly, “I was waiting for you to come up first, sir.”

Erick was surprised by her sudden change in attitude, which left him momentarily speechless. Then he headed to the car.

After Erick got in, Elin walked to the passenger door and had just opened it when she heard his stern order. "Climb back."

With trembling hands, Elin slid into the back seat, trying to make herself as small as possible. A sharp pain washed over her and made her curl up.

“Are you still feeling unwell?” Erick asked her, with obvious concern, as he reached out to touch her forehead.

Hearing this, Elin instinctively moved away, pressing herself against the car window to put distance between them.

Erick's hand froze in midair and his fingers tensed.

Elin's face showed no emotion, and her voice, firm and reassuring, said, "I'm fine."

Elin's calmness convinced Erick to stop worrying and focus on other matters. His priority was to deal with the aftermath of the bar incident. He was determined to find whoever was responsible for drugging him.

The car sped down the road, fast and silent, with an almost palpable inner silence.

Maybe it was the incessant headache or the remnants of his hangover, but Erick leaned back and closed his eyes, seeming to fall asleep.

Elin tried to make herself smaller, hiding between the large folds of Erick's suit and even silencing her breathing.

As they passed in front of a pharmacy, Erick's sharp order cut the silence. «Please stop.

"What do you need? “I’ll go get it,” the driver offered promptly.

Erick looked at Elin before answering, “I’ll bring it myself.” He then got out of the car and disappeared into the pharmacy, reappearing moments later with a bag in his hand.

Arriving at the Foster estate, Elin quickly got out of the car, eager to leave the narrow space. But before she could walk away, Erick's voice stopped her. “Elin, wait.” He handed him the pharmacy bag. "Here, don't forget to take this."

Elin looked at the bag and saw the emergency contraceptive pills inside. He grabbed her tightly and whispered, “I will.”

Erick paused, hesitating before speaking again. «As for tonight, it was unexpected, and the blame falls exclusively on me for not having controlled myself. If there has been any damage to your body, please let me know.”

When Erick spoke with a hint of tenderness, Elin, who had been holding back tears the entire journey, could no longer contain them.

Erick sighed, looking down. «Before, I was very worried about you going to a bar alone. That's why I was so hard. I apologize to you. “Please don’t take my harsh words to heart,” he pleaded.

He paused before adding, "And... I'm not into relationships right now." If you expect any kind of commitment from me, I'm afraid I can't offer it."
