Chapter 862

Love Unbreakable by Bank Brook

Chapter 862:

? ? ? ? ?

Fortunately, the Maybach stopped, and was still some distance away from the guard post. The driver got out of the car and apologized, saying he hadn't seen it clearly.

Hearing this, the drunk and embarrassed revelers did not want to let the driver escape so easily. They were about to make a scene when they were quickly intercepted by nearby patrol cars.

After the security guard gave a statement, the drunken revelers were taken to the police station and charged with disorderly conduct.

Just then, Raegan came out of the guardhouse and saw a taxi waiting.

Raegan walked past the black Maybach, whose windows were tinted, making it difficult for her to see the person inside. However, he perceived the intense gaze from within. Without having to look, he knew who was in the car by the license plate. But the driver was unfamiliar to him, suggesting that he might actually have stepped on the accelerator by mistake. In any case, Raegan wouldn't get her hopes up that Mitchel was trying to help her.

Once Raegan got into the taxi she had booked, the driver explained why he was late. It turned out that there was a concert at the stadium not far from there, which had caused a traffic jam.

All vehicles heading in that direction tonight were experiencing delays. In reality, the taxi Raegan had booked arrived relatively quickly. The wait could now exceed an hour.

The driver was chatty, but Raegan, ever cautious, avoided sharing personal information. Before getting into the car, she checked the license plate and, as Stefan had instructed, sent him a text message informing him that she was safe inside.

After traveling a certain distance, the taxi suddenly stopped at the intersection. The driver got out to check it. Then he said to Raegan, “Miss, I'm sorry. The car broke down. “I have to call roadside assistance.”

Raegan nodded. “Okay, call them.”

The driver scratched his head and said, “With this traffic jam tonight, I'm not sure how long it will take for the mechanic to arrive. Maybe I should change taxis. Don't worry. I will not charge you for this trip.

That's when Raegan remembered the traffic jam. With this congestion, there was not a single taxi in sight. And it was very dark.

Where could I find other transportation?

The car's air conditioning turned off. Raegan felt uncomfortable sitting in a closed, poorly ventilated space. He got out of the car to breathe fresh air. Then he called his own driver. As expected, it would take more than an hour to arrive.

Tonight, all northbound roads were congested. Only the route to the south was clear.

Raegan was standing by the road when a Maybach suddenly stopped in front of her. The back seat window rolled down, revealing Mitchel's handsome but expressionless face. He said coldly, “Get in the car.” His tone was condescending.

Raegan frowned, feeling unlucky tonight for constantly bumping into him.

It was getting colder outside, and Raegan's outfit was a little skimpy.

The tip of his nose was now red from the cold. The blush on her pale face made her look even more delicate.

"No, thanks." Treating Mitchel like a stranger, Raegan took a few steps to a bus stop, although bus trips had ended for the night.

The stop was equipped with surveillance cameras, making it a safer place to wait. Raegan decided to wait there for the driver.

But the black Maybach followed her to the stop.

Raegan sat on the bench in the waiting booth. Mitchel got out of his car and approached her. «Get in the car. Or do I have to invite you?

The last time they saw each other, Mitchel hadn't said a word to Raegan. This time, without Katie around, he seemed willing to talk a little more.
