Mitchel ordered coldly, âMake the announcement.â
Matteo paused, bewildered. "Make the announcement?"
"Yes, for September 20."
âWellâ¦â Matteo hesitated, about to speak, but a sharp look from Mitchel made him quickly change his response. "OK".
«Increases coverage. Involve local and international media. We have to keep this trending until then.â
Matteo wasn't sure what Mitchel was planning and didn't dare ask.
He just nodded. "OK".
Once Mitchel was gone, Matteo looked around the messy room and sighed softly. Then he had someone clean up the mess.
Raegan had kept herself busy to distract herself from her feelings.
However, during a break, his fingers automatically went to the Dixon Group's official website.
The last announcement had been published at two ten in the afternoon.
On it appeared the names of the man he once loved deeply and the woman he despised. September 20 was the date set for their wedding.
The announcement hit Raegan like a dagger to the heart. The bold and extravagant official statement declared what the media was celebrating as a love story.
However, despite having been married to Mitchel for the past few years, Raegan had remained invisible and unknown. His heart seemed to stop, his breathing became heavy.
The event was going to take place in less than two weeks. It was approaching so fast that Raegan hadn't seen it coming. Could it be true, as the media claimed, that Katie's son was in a hurry to arrive? But then, Katie's son... It had been proven that he wasn't Mitchel's, right?
As far as Raegan knew, Mitchel wasn't one to raise someone else's child. He didn't dare consider the only remaining possibility. Could Katie's son really be his?
This thought tormented her even more. The thought of Mitchel making out with her while he was with another woman made her nauseous.
Hurriedly, Raegan grabbed her herbal remedy to stave off the urge to vomit.
Raegan calmed down for a moment and tried to close the website. He believed that his actions of the past few days had shown that he was over it. However, his fingers were shaking. He tried to turn off the laptop three times without success. Frustrated, she slammed the laptop shut.
The office was empty and Elin was about to leave. Elin asked cautiously, âRaegan, are you going home? "I can take you."
As Elin spoke, her phone rang, but she ignored it.
Raegan shook her head and replied, âDon't worry about me. Go back to your work. "My driver is waiting downstairs."
Once home, Raegan settled into a bathroom. The hot water could not relieve the chill in his heart.
Over the next few days, even without paying attention to Mitchel and Katie, Raegan continued to find news about them.
