Chapter 829:

Erick grabbed Raegan's cold hand. He quickly wrapped her suit around her and helped her sit on the couch.
In that moment, Erick fully understood what mattered most. Once he made sure Raegan was safe, he would serve justice. Anyone who dared to harm his sister would regret it.
Erick knelt in front of Raegan and asked, "Are you okay?"
With sunken eyes, Raegan struggled to speak. "Erick, why did you abandon me, even though you had sacrificed yourself just to save me?"
Erick's throat tightened and he said hoarsely, "He's an idiot."
Raegan's heart ached terribly. Letting him go didn't mean she was over him. Rather, his education and self-esteem did not allow him to cling to the past.
âErickâ¦â Raegan rested her head on Erick's shoulder and suddenly burst into tears. âThat Mitchel who used to be so nice to me⦠He's really gone.â
After enduring so much mentally, the sudden collapse was not unexpected.
As Raegan grew older, she rarely cried so blatantly, ignoring her image. This time, however, they weren't the silent tears she usually shed. She cried loudly, desperately, not caring about her appearance.
His brother and father were always his sanctuary. Raegan didn't feel the need to put on any facade to them.
As Erick watched Raegan cry, he felt helpless, his trembling hands gently caressing her back to comfort her. Since her childhood, Raegan had always been considerate. Every time she enjoyed a treat or received a gift, she made sure to share it with him.
Later, Raegan's disappearance became a silent pain in Erick's heart.
However, he was grateful that once they were reunited, it was as if no time had passed. They connected with the same ease as when they were children.
Erick, who had no other siblings, had once promised his father that he would always take care of Raegan. But now he considered himself unable to keep his promise due to Raegan's distress.
Throat tight and voice rough, Erick said, âRaegan, you still have me. Our father and mother hope to see you again..."
After crying for a while and releasing pent up emotions, Raegan felt much better. He took a deep breath and turned to reassure Erick: âErick, I'm fine now. Tomorrow I will return to my work.
Eric frowned. «You don't need to hurry. Your healthâ¦â
«My health is good, Erick. I have something else to share with you.
âWhat is it about?â
Raegan paused, her hand resting on her abdomen. He took a deep breath and said, âI plan to stay with the children. âI will go abroad for delivery in five months.â
Raegan had made a decision. She would focus on her studio work during these weeks and, when the last stage of her pregnancy arrived, she would entrust everything to the person in charge.
With her less pronounced belly, combined with the fluffy clothing that the cold demanded, she could easily hide her pregnancy up to five months.
As for the decision to give birth abroad, Raegan wanted to cut any ties with the Dixon family regarding her unborn children. With his competence and his family's resources, he knew he could give his children a great carefree life.
Raegan wanted children, partly so Janey would have company and partly because her mother was still missing and she wanted a big, warm family. He also wanted to stay with the children.
