Love Unbreakable by Bank Brook
Chapter 826:
? ? ? ? ?
His relentless humiliation persisted, each sentence hitting Raegan like a slap. She clutched her torn neck, tears streaming down her face as she exclaimed, âWhat nonsense you are talking!â
Mitchel grabbed her chin tightly, his gaze icy as he stared into her eyes. "You've been chasing me because you want me to sleep with you, right?"
A searing pain jolted Raegan's chin, causing her to clench her hand into a fist.
The next moment, Mitchel leaned towards her, his breath icy, as if he was about to kiss her.
Raegan's thoughts dissolved into confusion, leaving her unable to respond. The guess he had held for so long completely vanished, causing a deep impact on him.
As Mitchel's cold lips approached, before Raegan could respond, his mouth brushed past and came into contact with her ear.
âTo be honest, I have been intimate with you countless times.â He chuckled, his voice grazing Raegan's eardrums. "Honestly, I'm completely tired of it."
After saying those words, Mitchel quickly let go of Raegan, as if throwing away garbage, he even took a step back as if it disgusted him.
Deprived of support, Raegan slid down the body of the car, nearly falling to the ground. By a stroke of luck, he grabbed onto the door handle, steadying his posture.
Despite nearly tripping, Mitchel maintained his composure. âMy apologies, I cannot compromise my standards to satisfy your wishes, howeverâ¦â He paused, a grimace appearing on his face. âIf you really want, I can suggest men known for their stamina and various skillsâ¦â
Raegan couldn't take it anymore and landed a resounding slap on Mitchel's face.
Silence filled the air like a heavy shroud.
Mitchel's face darkened as if the end of the world had arrived.
A hint of blood stained his lips and he looked at her with a contemptuous smile. "I never imagined that someone like you would lack any sense of shame."
That was an insult to his character. Raegan's expression changed once more, and she raised her hand to slap him again, only to have Mitchel's outstretched arm grab it firmly.
«At the very least, we were once husband and wife. Let's consider that slap as a farewell gesture between strangers. I won't hold it against you. Howeverâ¦â Mitchel tightened his grip, crushing her hand, and issued a stern warning: âIf you want to avoid the failure of your study at Ardlens, I suggest that you refrain from physical altercations in the future.â
Mitchel insensibly pushed Raegan's hand away.
Raegan leaned on the car door to prevent herself from falling. Dismay, caution and intimidation... These were the only impressions he had from this night, memories permanently etched in his mind.
Raegan's breathing went from fast to slow, and then almost stopped.
The night air felt cool, under the desolate moonlight.
Her cold tears persisted, her heart numb. She looked at Mitchel in front of her, her pale lips forming a tight smile as she softly conceded, "Mitchel, you did it."
In just two weeks, Mitchel had exhausted his reserve of courage. Her beliefs, once firm, now cruelly betrayed her. What a fool she had been, clowning around for the past two weeks.
Mitchel watched Raegan's lifeless demeanor, her throat tight, unable to speak. She seemed so fragile that saying another word seemed on the verge of destroying her.
âMitchelâ¦â Raegan's tender voice reached Mitchel, as if they were still deeply in love.
