Chapter 820

Love Unbreakable by Bank Brook

Chapter 820:

? ? ? ? ?

Seeing no way out, Ruben dropped the business card dejectedly and followed Klein to the exit.

Benson seethed with frustration, unable to contain himself any longer.

He stood up abruptly, preparing to leave.

Across the room, Mitchel imitated Benson's movement and approached him with a firm step. “I have other urgent matters to attend to, so I must say goodbye to you,” Mitchel announced.

Benson's attitude changed when she noticed that Amilia, dressed in a disheveled manner, was following Mitchel. Its initial warmth dissipated like smoke.

"Very well," he replied dryly.

Since Mitchel had rejected Benson's intention to mate with Raegan moments before, Benson's enthusiasm for hooking up with Mitchel had noticeably diminished.

Benson's protective nature extended deeply to Raegan's father, who was like a brother to him. And Raegan held a place as precious to him as any member of his family.

Despite connecting with Mitchel at the art show, Benson found it difficult to be cordial with him, who had been dismissive of Raegan. Ironically, Mitchel seemed oblivious, sitting and making no move to leave so far, irritating Benson even more.

At first, Benson held Mitchel in high regard because of his charm and considerable wealth, as well as his abilities, although rumors of Mitchel's divorce had reached her.

Now, Benson had reservations about Mitchel's private life. Amilia, who Mitchel seemed to be interested in, was far below Raegan's caliber.

As she left the parking lot, Raegan saw her driver waiting patiently outside. But as she opened the car door, a sudden wave of nausea overwhelmed her. He couldn't contain himself and ran to the bathroom.

After soothing her stomach, Raegan quickly cooled down. Looking in the mirror, he saw his face pale and exhausted from vomiting.

This pregnancy was very different from Janey's.

This time the nausea was intense and it was impossible for him to keep anything in his stomach. The constant vomiting took its toll on his body and caused him to lose significant weight.

Annis, ever attentive, had consulted a doctor and developed an herbal remedy that proved effective in relieving Raegan's incessant nausea.

Raegan kept the remedy on hand, afraid that her pregnancy would come to light prematurely if she couldn't control her nausea in public.

The mastermind behind Janey and Annis's kidnapping was still at large, a threat that loomed over their lives. Raegan couldn't risk exposing her pregnancy, knowing it would put her and her loved ones in grave danger. For the safety of Janey and her family, she had to remain vigilant and discreet.

Raegan remembered Janey's words urging her to tell Mitchel about her pregnancy, but the thought stuck in her throat like a fishbone.

If Mitchel discovered her pregnancy, she might insist on an abortion.

Until she knew what to expect, Raegan decided to keep her condition a secret.

Washing her hands, Raegan considered her options. He hadn't brought his herbal remedy today, so although he might feel sick later, for the moment he was fine after emptying his stomach.

Thinking about the remedy, Raegan remembered that the man who had just hugged her gave off a faint aroma of medicinal herbs. That's how he deduced it wasn't Mitchel.

The man's physique resembled Mitchel's, but his body was cold. According to Raegan's memories, Mitchel was always warm, radiating warmth no matter what the weather was like. And the aroma of cedar wood on his skin was etched in his memory.
