Love Unbreakable by Bank Brook

Chapter 790:

"Also, his father wanted to express his gratitude to you." Jarrod added mockingly, "He thanked you for saving Roscoe."

Nicole knew that Roscoe's father was not genuinely grateful. His message was a covert instruction to stay away from Roscoe and cease all contact.

Nicole had no intention of contacting Roscoe anyway. It was enough for him to know that he was safe.

Jarrod, taking a large spoonful of nutritious soup from the nurse, dismissed her with, "You can go now."

After the nurse left, Jarrod settled down next to Nicole and began feeding her, spoonful by spoonful, with a patience that seemed unusual for him.

"I don't want to eat." Nicole was visibly reluctant.

"Is it because I'm the one who feeds you?" Jarrod asked. His voice was firm, but his eyes revealed his true feelings.

Nicole knew better than to provoke Jarrod. Letting herself be locked up by him would only complicate her situation even more. He had vital tasks to attend to. With this in mind, he suppressed his nausea and continued eating.

Jarrod seemed satisfied. As he continued to feed her, he commented abruptly, catching her off guard: "The doctor told me you had a cesarean section five years ago."

Hearing this, Nicole began to cough intensely. His body did not heal easily, and the operation mark had been effectively minimized with advanced scar removal treatments, making it virtually invisible.

However, a thorough medical examination would reveal its presence.

"What's the rush?" Jarrod patted her on the back, his expression impassive, and then continued, “Nicole, you're not keeping that kid secretly, are you?”

At that moment, Nicole felt like she had been struck by lightning. Jarrod's tone was not inquisitive, but assertive. She tried to maintain her composure and replied, “Jarrod, have you lost your mind? You know what happened to that kid, right?

However, Jarrod remained skeptical, his tone icy as he insisted, "Nicole, the child from five years ago wasn't aborted, was it?"

At the time, Jarrod was too shocked to confirm whether the bloody scene was really his son. Given the situation, when Nicole told him, he believed her.

With today's advanced technology, Jarrod thought Nicole wouldn't dare claim another's child as her own. Therefore, she believed the claim of her child's miscarriage.

However, a conversation with the doctor the day before raised Jarrod's suspicions, leading him to investigate the doctor who had supposedly performed the abortion on Nicole five years earlier.

What he discovered was alarming. The doctor in question had suddenly felt dizzy during the procedure and, assuming the miscarriage was minor, had let a nurse intervene. The procedure went well, but it was not the doctor who performed it. Whether the procedure had been manipulated remained a mystery.

Jarrod attempted to locate the nurse, but discovered that she had gone abroad and disappeared, flaunting her newfound wealth before leaving. This suggested that someone had bribed the nurse.

The more Jarrod thought, the more he sensed that something was wrong.

At the time Nicole was said to have miscarried, it was too early for a C-section. The doctor at the time had described it as a medical abortion with a cleaning afterwards, so it made no sense that the doctors would now find evidence of a C-section.

There was no way Nicole was pregnant by someone else at that moment. The undeniable truth was that Nicole had secretly given birth to the child.

Suddenly, Jarrod grabbed Nicole by the neck, without giving her time to react, and demanded: "Nicole, where have you hidden my son?"

His intense and oppressive tone left Nicole stunned for a moment. The next second, he raised his hand.
