Chapter 789

Love Unbreakable by Bank Brook

Chapter 789:

? ? ? ? ?

In this gloomy scenario, there was no joy. Only the pain dominated. Both expressed deep unresolved rage.

Time seemed to drag, replaying Nicole's life in slow motion. Before she met Jarrod, her life was joyful, like a garden in full bloom.

After meeting him, she became endlessly dark. Maybe it was time to stop dragging others into that darkness. Before losing consciousness, Nicole thought about it.

But clinging to her previous plea, Nicole weakly murmured: "You promised me you would let him go..."

His words only provoked harsher treatment from Jarrod.

In the end, Nicole could no longer stand and slowly slid down.

Her collapse elicited no sympathy from Jarrod. He believed he had been merciful enough. They were after his life. And he only wanted Nicole.

Jarrod covered Nicole's bruised body with his jacket, covering the traces of her frenzy. After this terrible experience, he was convinced that Nicole would never think about betrayal again. That was his goal.

In his opinion, if he couldn't fully possess something, he preferred to destroy it. If things became unsustainable, he would be the one to end Nicole's life, not allowing her to be with another man.

When Nicole regained consciousness, two days had passed. Her body, already delicate as porcelain, had been completely crushed and battered, almost broken.

When he came to, his first reaction was to desperately search for Roscoe.

Seeing Nicole crying silently, a nurse rushed to find Jarrod.

Jarrod walked in from outside and Nicole immediately asked him, "What's up with Roscoe?" Have you discharged him?

Jarrod's expression instantly became stormy. "Nicole, do you think I have infinite patience?" Her first actions when she woke up were to cry and ask for Roscoe.

Despite Jarrod's irritation, Nicole simply grabbed his fingers, stating, "You made a promise. "You can't go back on your word."

Jarrod seethed internally and struggled to maintain his composure. The doctor described Nicole's condition as that of a hollow tree trunk, seemingly intact on the outside but completely devastated on the inside. I needed careful attention and less stress. Maybe that way I could live a few more years.

Angered by the doctor's prognosis, Jarrod demanded the hospital director fire him. What kind of incompetent doctor was he?

How dare he make such statements? How could Nicole's condition be so critical? Nicole was barely twenty years old. How could his life be reduced to a few years?

However, the doctor's comments planted a seed of doubt in Jarrod's mind. He abhorred such pronouncements and preferred not to hear them again, nor to seek additional medical opinions for Nicole. However, he quietly arranged for a nutritionist to oversee Nicole's dietary needs.

Various health supplements were meticulously prepared for him.

Too distraught to read Jarrod's mind, Nicole insisted, "Jarrod, I'm asking you a direct question."

Without realizing it, Nicole had grabbed Jarrod's entire hand.

This act lifted Jarrod's spirits slightly. He calmly replied, “Don't worry. He's not dead. "His father took him to recover."

Nicole's anxious heart began to ease. Once recovered, she could confirm it herself. Besides, he doubted Jarrod would lie about such a matter.
