Love Unbreakable by Bank Brook
Chapter 779:

The receptionist opened a work memo, looked from it to Nicole's face, then closed it. "Miss Lawrence, Mr. Watts left the company at one thirty-two this morning."
Nicole looked bewildered at the receptionist, who didn't know why she was giving her such precise details.
The receptionist smiled apologetically. "Mr. Watts had given instructions that, in the event of a visit from Miss Lawrence, we were to call her immediately and not to keep any secrets."
The receptionist had already marked Nicole's arrival as a priority.
A wave of paleness washed over Nicole's face. I was overwhelmed by Roscoe's thoughtfulness and attention to detail. He quickly left Roscoe's company and took a taxi to his apartment.
Upon speaking with the building's security guard, Nicole learned that Roscoe had not yet arrived home.
Nicole's face turned ashen. Roscoe had disappeared when leaving his office. But at that time, Jarrod was still imprisoned. Who could be acting on your behalf?
Suddenly, a name popped into Nicole's head: Alec. It had to be him.
Nicole then took a taxi to Jarrod's company, but, as expected, she did not find him there. Jarrod was eating with Vicki elsewhere.
Nicole asked to see Alec specifically, but the receptionist told her that Alec was busy. Nicole decided to wait in the lobby.
Finally, Nicole saw Alec coming down the stairs, apparently about to leave to run an errand.
Nicole felt the urge to confront him, but she restrained herself. When Alec left, she followed him in a taxi. He watched as he parked at a tea shop and sat down nonchalantly to drink tea.
Nicole motioned for the taxi to pass her by and continued to keep an eye on Alec.
Shortly after, Alec returned to his car and Nicole, now disguised in a baseball cap, got into a black car. She was too flashy to follow in a taxi, so he had asked his assistant to find a less flashy car.
Shortly afterwards, Alec parked the car at a leisure club. When he walked in, Nicole snuck out and booked a room. He methodically searched each chamber, following the path Alec had taken.
Nicole continued searching until she opened the last door. There sat Alec, drinking nonchalantly with two women at his side.
As the door opened, Alec, apparently anticipating her arrival, called out to her, "Miss Lawrence, come in and join us for a drink."
Nicole's hand shook slightly. Since Alec had seen her, there was no point in hiding. She realized that Alec had tricked her on purpose.
Nicole walked in, stood next to the table in front of Alec and got straight to the point. "You kidnapped Roscoe, right?"
«Do you mean your lover? What makes you think I did it? Alec raised his wine glass, took a slow sip, and smiled contentedly. «I haven't seen him.
Alec's expression seemed to mock Nicole: "I know something you don't know."
Alec chuckled and added, âMiss Lawrence, you are a terrible detective. I must say that she has really gone out of her way for her little lover.
"He's not my Lover," Nicole stated flatly, correcting Alec. «You don't need me to remind you that kidnapping is a crime, do you? Mr. Schultz has just been released from prison. Do you want to finish there?
Alec smiled satisfied. «Who said I kidnapped him? I hadn't already told you..."
