Chapter 771

Love Unbreakable by Bank Brook

Chapter 771:

? ? ? ? ?

«Raegan, let go of the guilt of your past favor. Do you remember the times when you were children..."

Suddenly, a series of beeps interrupted them. Erick turned the ignition, and the car hummed to life as they began to move forward.

Erick realized that Raegan hadn't lifted his spirits, so he changed tactics. "I have news about our mother," he said.

Hope shone in Raegan's eyes. "Oh really?"

He nodded. «A while ago, a part-time maid said she had seen our mother in a house. I went to the address, but found nothing. “The previous residents had moved away and their current whereabouts were unknown.”

It was a clue, albeit a small one, after years of uncertainty about Casey's fate.

The housekeeper had referred to Casey in passing as a "sleeping beauty," a detail that Erick preferred to keep to himself, wishing not to burden Raegan with any more worries.

“It's incredible,” Raegan managed to say, her tear-stained face slightly brightening at the news. She was still convinced that her mother was out there somewhere.

Erick soothed Raegan by running his fingers through her hair. «I will find her. Don't worry".

They arrived home after half an hour of travel.

Completely exhausted, Raegan slipped into the solace of a steaming bath and then fell into a deep, restful sleep.

A new beginning awaited with the morning light, and Raegan prepared to meet it with new energy.

With Jarrod now confined within the prison walls, Nicole assumed leadership, taking control of the company's helm. The energy initiative, once stagnant under Wesson's watch, now pulsed with new life, transformed but invigorated.

Clearing Wesson's name would be a herculean task unless Jarrod owned up to his actions. Even if the stain were removed, it would be very difficult to restore the Lawrence Group to its former glory.

Nicole had given up on such dreams, recognizing Wesson's true goal of moving the energy industry toward the common good. By advancing the field of energy, he would be, in essence, honoring his father's vision.

That afternoon, when Nicole left the office late, she was greeted by Roscoe's presence.

Roscoe was a vision in his khaki robe, capturing the attention of passersby at the entrance to the building.

Nicole remembered the time at the hospital when Roscoe, in the middle of his residency, had caught the attention of numerous nurses. However, he had always kept his distance, unknowingly breaking hearts along the way.

The setting sun cast a soft glow on Roscoe, bathing him in a light that softened the edges of the day.

Watching Roscoe, Nicole's mind danced with thoughts of an almost lyrical nature. "She moves with a grace and delicacy reminiscent of a masterpiece, each gesture as if it had been refined by the hands of an artist," he reflected.

Approaching with a bright smile, Nicole asked, "What brings you here?"

Roscoe responded with a warm smile, "I've come to invite you to dinner."

"For dinner?" Nicole paused, she wasn't one to keep track of holiday dates.

Suddenly, he realized that the younger colleagues had hinted at special plans for that evening. "Is there any time?"
