Chapter 767
Love Unbreakable by Bank Brook
Chapter 767:
? ? ? ? ?
The room fell silent.
Mitchel sat at his desk and the two executives next to him looked at Raegan with bewildered expressions.
Raegan hadn't anticipated that Mitchel would be really busy.
The two executives seemed to assume that Raegan was Mitchel's romantic interest. It didn't take them long to find an excuse to leave.
After receiving a cold and distant look from Mitchel, Raegan nervously lowered her gaze and said, âPlease continue with your work. "I'll wait inside."
Raegan grabbed the appetizers and headed to the living room.
There was no turning back. After having come this far, he couldn't leave without having achieved something.
Raegan didn't expect the meeting with Mitchel to last this long.
As the meeting dragged on, Raegan grew tired. At first she was sitting on the couch, but little by little she collapsed and fell asleep. But the couch was not a comfortable place to sleep.
Half asleep and half awake, Raegan barely opened her eyes and noticed a tall figure standing before her.
Suddenly, Raegan felt as if she had been transported back in time. Instinctively, she raised her hand and wrapped her fingers around Mitchel's neck, her voice sleepy but playful. «Why do you come now? "I've been waiting for you for a long time."
Mitchel seemed surprised by his gesture, and his hands remained motionless.
Raegan then rested her head against his chest, comforted by the familiar scent of cedar wood.
But then, his rough voice broke into her reverie. "Get up".
Raegan woke up with a start. How could he have confused reality with a dream? She froze and remembered that her goal was to reconnect with him and rekindle their past relationship.
And here she was, pretending to be intoxicated. Even though it was an act, I knew I couldn't waste the moment. With renewed determination, he squeezed Mitchel's neck and said in a playful, tipsy voice, "No, I won't get up unless..."
She playfully wrapped her legs around his calf, taunting him, âUnless you pick me up.â
Mitchel pursed his lips and stared at Raegan, his eyes turbulent as if stormy seas were stirring behind them.
Maybe it was the lingering smell of wine that made Raegan's head spin slightly. At that moment, her heart raced, feeling like she was really drunk. How else could she be in front of the man who tormented her dreams and consumed her thoughts day and night? How long had it been since she felt his strong chest or hugged him completely?
At that moment, Raegan almost cried with relief, grateful to have Mitchel back. Despite the suffering, she was still grateful that he was here, alive. "Mitchel, thanks for coming back."
Raegan wanted to hug Mitchel and cry, telling him how much she missed him.
But Mitchel's tone was sharp and chilling. "Stop acting and get up."
It was as if Raegan had been splashed with cold water in the face, her arms stiffening before falling to her sides.
«This is not a salon, Miss Foster. Please refrain from entering without permission next time,â Mitchel admonished her.
