Chapter 758
Love Unbreakable by Bank Brook
Chapter 758:
? ? ? ? ?
Raegan grabbed the fabric of Erick's shirt and whispered, "Erick, please keep this between us until I've made a decision."
Eric nodded. "Okay, I'll take care of it."
With the checkup confirming that she was fine, Raegan decided to go home, worried especially about Janey.
Once back home, Raegan saw a woman with short hair and square glasses chatting with Janey.
Not recognizing the woman, Raegan asked Annis, "Who is this?"
Annis responded: "She's the new psychologist. The previous one was traveling, hence this lady's recommendation. Mr. Erick Foster has checked your credentials and approved them. It's ready."
Janey seemed comfortable, unaffected by the kidnapping.
After observing the psychologist's session and finding nothing strange, Raegan felt calm. The new psychologist's methods were more dynamic and better suited Janey.
After the session, the psychologist expressed her interest in meeting Janey's mother.
Annis guided the psychologist to the living room.
The psychologist extended her hand to Raegan and introduced herself: "Hello, I'm Miss Carpenter."
âNice to meet you, Miss Carpenter,â Raegan replied.
Miss Carpenter handed Raegan a handwritten report and said, âHere is an evaluation I completed for Janey. Please take a look.â
Raegan looked it over carefully.
Miss Carpenter continued: 'From the sessions it appears that Janey is much more resilient than one might think. The main problem is that she feels quite isolated. If you are thinking about having more children, now might be a good time to consider it. "Janey would really benefit from having a brother."
After Miss Carpenter left, Raegan went to Janey's bedroom to check on her. On the nightstand was a drawing that Janey had made.
The drawing showed Janey, her parents, and a small fluffy figure, all together building a snowman. Below it, Janey had written "little brother."
Raegan felt a surge of excitement, her nose tingling and twitching uncontrollably. It seemed like Janey always caught any changes in her first.
Raegan tucked Janey in and left the room and headed to the balcony.
Looking out over the neon lights of Ardlens from the hillside, the town had a special charm at night.
Raegan reflected on her recent interaction with Mitchel. I knew him well. Could he be as cold as his words suggested?
Now, her mind calmer, Raegan wondered what could lead Mitchel, who had prioritized her life over his, to make such a decision and be so cold toward her.
After knowing him for years, Raegan understood that Mitchel's decisions were serious and not easily changed.
But Raegan wasn't ready to give up yet, and she wasn't going to do it without a fight.
