Chapter 738
Love Unbreakable by Bank Brook
Since Annis had disappeared with Janey, Raegan contacted Elin and they met at the door of the daycare.
In the school security room, the driver had already checked the footage three times and saw Annis and Janey leaving through the front door. But just after turning a corner, they disappeared.
With shaking hands, Raegan called the police.
However, the police refused to open a case. After all, there were no signs of abduction in the images. And Annis and Janey had been missing for less than twenty-four hours.
Raegan felt a chill run up her feet and her entire body trembled.
He leaned on a chair, forced himself to calm down, and watched the surveillance footage over and over again.
Finally, he headed to the corner where Annis and Janey had disappeared.
It wasn't the path Annis usually followed. And in the recording, Janey was pulling Annis, apparently guiding her.
Raegan stood at the entrance to the narrow alley and stared at the surveillance camera that only covered one path, the rest were blind spots. If they had taken Annis and Janey on that corner, the surveillance camera wouldn't have caught it. Obviously, the kidnappers were well aware of the blind spots.
But why Janey was taking Annis down an unknown path baffled Raegan, her mind in chaos.
In an instant, several people crossed his mind. Alexis. Henley. Katie.
He hated those ruthless beasts to the core. But who exactly took Janey and Annis?
Raegan got into the car and drove straight to the Dixon Group headquarters. Without hesitation, he burst into Alexis's office.
At that moment, Alexis was in his large executive chair, flirting with his secretary. The disheveled secretary sat on his lap while he held her pink face. As he caressed her, Alexis murmured sleazily, âHoney, give it to me. Don't torture me anymore. Just give it to meâ¦â
Their intimate moments were interrupted when the door burst open.
Startled, Alexis pushed the secretary. The secretary screamed as her body fell to the ground.
Raegan stormed over, slammed the desk, and yelled, âWas that you? âWas it you?â
Interrupted during their appointment, Alexis, furious, replied: "Are you sick? What are you talking about?
Raegan scrutinized Alexis. There were no evasions in his gaze, no telltale signs, just annoyance. And it didn't feel like an act. However, he couldn't rule out Alexis as a suspect.
Pale and exhausted, her eyes were still piercing as she looked at Alexis. «Don't touch my daughter. Otherwise, I swear to finish you.
A shiver ran down Alexis's spine, embarrassed at feeling intimidated by a young woman. He tried to hide his nervousness and said coldly, âStop talking nonsense. Drop the Mitchel case and all your problems will disappear.
Since the last time Raegan had thwarted his plans, Alexis had been cautious, keeping a low profile. He was wise enough not to kidnap Raegan's daughter at a time like this.
"In your dreams!" Raegan shouted; his voice hoarse with agitation.
After saying this, he left Alexis's office.
