Chapter 730

Love Unbreakable by Bank Brook

A smile briefly spread across Luciana's face, only to dissolve into tears. Through it all, she felt comforted knowing that Mitchel's legacy lived on in Janey.

Seeing Luciana upset, the driver asked: "Madam, shall we follow you?"

Luciana, wiping away her tears, responded: "No." Raegan was taking great care of Janey and Luciana felt she shouldn't interfere.

Luciana quickly indicated: "To the police station."

Luciana felt compelled to personally check for updates on Katie's case. The Glyn family had a lot of influence and Katie had managed to find a loophole that prevented her from getting directly involved. Katie was likely to be released soon.

However, Luciana was determined not to let Katie get away so easily.

Katie was detained for at least 48 hours.

As they drove, Luciana broke the silence. "Does Katie's bodyguard have any other relatives?"

The driver replied: “We are checking it, ma’am. "It seems like he has a mentor who is almost like a father to him."

"Locate him," Luciana ordered sharply.

"Yes, ma'am," the driver quickly replied.

Luciana turned her gaze to the window, her mind heavy with worry. He clung to a faint hope, believing Raegan's firm conviction that Mitchel was somehow still fighting for his life.

Meanwhile, in the sterile confines of a biological laboratory, a striking man lay unconscious in a spotless hospital bed. His complexion was of a ghostly paleness, his lips a dull grey.

A person dressed in sterile clothing was watching him, his face marked with concern, while he addressed a female doctor. "Can we really do nothing else?" The voice had a tone of desperation.

The doctor shook her head. "We haven't been fast enough," he lamented. "His body was already poisoned, and the cold has intensified the effects of the poison after a day and night in the ocean."

“Intensified?” Luis seemed bewildered. "I thought there was a month before the first critical phase."

The doctor responded with a sigh: “There is no more time. If you do not regain consciousness soon, you could complete the first phase of treatment while you sleep.

Luis paled at the doctor's words. Clinging tightly to the doctor's arm, his legs almost give way under his feet. The doctor caught him before he fell.

"Please stay strong," the doctor warned.

Luis's plea was desperate. «Please do something. He has just reconciled with his desired one. They have just begun to enjoy better days. "He can't die now."

"Luis..." The doctor's expression softened. Since I had known Luis for years, I was aware that he rarely asked for favors. However, for his friend, Luis declared himself that way.

«You know me. "If I had no intention of saving him, I wouldn't have let you bring him to my laboratory," the doctor said. «As researchers, we are attracted to such unique cases. I would have continued with this even without your insistence. But for now...

The doctor paused and adopted a serious tone. "The only thing we can do is wait for him to wake up to continue the investigation."

A glimmer of hope shone in Luis's eyes. There was still a chance.
