Chapter 706
Love Unbreakable by Bank Brook

Lauren's appearance had been ruined to the point of being almost unrecognizable. She wrongly laid the blame at Raegan's feet. In his eyes, it was entirely Raegan's doing.
Blaming Raegan entirely, Lauren leaped forward, pulled Raegan by the hair, and threw her across the room.
Luckily, Raegan hit a haystack and not the ground, but the blow left her dazed.
âThought you could escape, huh?â Lauren taunted, approaching with a frightening glint in her eyes. His madness was palpable.
Lauren's deranged state and the effect of the drug gave her extraordinary strength and agility, making her nearly unstoppable.
Raegan fought to keep her voice steady and said, âLauren, killing me now is just what they want.â
âDo you think I can't see through you?â Lauren's eyes narrowed. âYou're just spouting nonsense to escape, right?â
Raegan said yes to herself. She said to Lauren, "Have you ever stopped to think who might want us both to get by?"
This question seemed to hit Lauren hard. It was something Lauren hadn't thought about.
As Raegan subtly laid back on the ground, he continued, seeking to buy time: âShouldn't we at least know who's behind this before the end? Do you have any idea who it could be?
Lauren considered Raegan's question, her thoughts in disarray, feeling like her mind was under attack.
Raegan hinted, "Do you think Katie orchestrated your rescue?"
The look on Lauren's face said it all.
Lauren never knew Katie closely, but the pieces fit together. Her savior was on Katie's payroll. Despite wearing a mask, Lauren recognized her savior precisely as the one who had given her the drugs in that dark alley.
Raegan knew her assumption was correct. «Katie is behind this, right? He doesn't want to save you. "He wants to hurt me and at the same time throw you under the bus."
Lauren lost her cool. «That's ridiculous! You're just trying to confuse me!
Lauren refused to believe the truth. She never had any problems with Katie.
Even though Katie was once engaged to Mitchel, Katie had always been kind to her. Plus, Katie was the one who brought him clients when she couldn't get close to Mitchel.
Why do you think Katie went out of her way to save you? What does she gain? Raegan's voice was sharp with accusation. «Do you remember what those guys said? Katie is playing with you as her pawn. "She has a gift for pulling strings from the shadows, without ever touching the dirt!"
Lauren's face showed a flash of doubt as she weighed Raegan's point, which had some truth to it.
Raegan's real motive wasn't to convince Lauren. I was just buying time. Trying to negotiate with someone as unpredictable as Lauren was a risky bet. After all, Lauren had already ended two lives without a second thought.
When Lauren's attention wavered, Raegan approached the exit and, seizing the moment, ran away. He stuck a stick he had found into the doorknob and locked it.
Lauren's reaction was immediate and she hit the barrier with her fists.
Raegan knew the impromptu closure was temporary. He turned around and saw a black SUV standing by the entrance. He yanked open the door and started searching. His hands found the keys in the glove compartment.
