Chapter 670

Love Unbreakable by Bank Brook

? ? ? ? ?

Mitchel did not speak until his team located him and provided him with protection and support in his search for justice.

As he spoke, more victims began sharing their stories online.

Some did not lose family members, but encountered constant bad luck when they went out during those days. Preferring to stay away from problems, they quickly accepted the agreements.

The Dixon Group was not involved in the early phases of the project. They only joined together later, after Katie had done the damage.

And when the Dixon Group backed out some time earlier, they openly clarified and explained the circumstances.

Shareholders breathed a sigh of relief, feeling like they had dodged a bullet.

Violent demolition. Cause death. Any of these allegations could ruin the Dixon Group's longstanding reputation for integrity. And restoring that reputation would be an uphill task.

At this point, shareholders admired Mitchel's decision. Nobody wanted to hear another word from Alexis. It was clear that Alexis wanted to promote her illegitimate son, Henley, and hand over the company's interests to outsiders, all for her selfish reasons, pushing the company toward ruin. Of course, Henley would not come out well from Alexis' upbringing.

Mitchel, however, was another story. Kyler himself had personally mentored Mitchel. With a formidable mentor like Kyler, Mitchel's competence was a given.

Alexis's face was as grim as charred coal, indicating that he understood that his defeat was imminent.

Mitchel's strategy was undeniably smart, holding back until Alexis made her moves.

Mitchel one-upped Alexis by methodically proving that Alexis' accusations were unfounded, completely flipping the script.

Feeling the need to save the situation, Alexis hugged Henley and cried. «My son, I was lost. I was wrong to ignore your advice. You have been nothing but kind, urging me to believe in Mitchel, and I foolishly turned a deaf ear..."

With a self-inflicted slap, Alexis exclaimed, “I shouldn't have dragged you into this mess. "You hadn't done anything wrong."

Alexis's words were clearly an attempt to disassociate Henley from the situation. He simply wanted Henley to continue playing against Mitchel, since one had to take the blame and that was him.

Henley remained silent, with a sad face. Deep down, he was unfazed.

For Henley, protecting his reputation was the only thing that mattered, regardless of Alexis's fate.

The meeting turned into a farce.

Mitchel ordered an internal audit into Alexis' misdeeds and decided that his actions would offset the financial damage. In other words, Alexis was forced to give up all his shares and even go into debt. This move banished Alexis from the Dixon Group forever.

Mitchel proved that he was far more formidable than Alexis could ever be.

It was a thorough cleaning.

Alexis, fuming with rage and feeling the weight of his guilt, felt helpless. The shareholders' gazes were almost powerful enough to swallow him whole.

Alexis glanced at Henley, ready to slip away, but Mitchel stopped him in his tracks. Mitchel got right to the point, asking, "Dad, isn't there something you're leaving out?"
