Chapter 655
Love Unbreakable by Bank Brook

A tired whisper from Mitchel broke the silence between them. "Raegan, I've missed you."
Mitchel held Raegan with tender caution, as if aware of her fragility, his touch light to avoid any discomfort.
Mitchel's constant consideration of her, even in her own distress, struck a chord with Raegan. Her heart went out to him, especially since Erick had informed her of the day's grim events.
The betrayal of Alexis, Henley, Katie and Luciana: each of them, who were supposed to be Mitchel's support, had turned their backs on him. They had drawn their daggers, leaving Mitchel to his fate in the cold of abandonment. The coldness he must have endured!
Raegan knew that Mitchel's joke about being homeless transcended the absence of physical shelter. It meant being deprived of a sanctuary for the soul.
Holding Mitchel tighter, Raegan reassured him in a voice as soft as a caress, âYou still have me and Janey. "We are here with you."
At his words, Mitchel's posture tensed slightly, a silent recognition of the weight they carried. Raegan, with her inherent kindness, had once again managed to stir the deepest part of his heart.
âThat's why I'm here,â he whispered softly in her ear.
In the sanctuary of their embrace, Raegan's response was a muffled affirmation.
Soon after, Mitchel gently lifted her face until their foreheads met, a tender murmur in his voice. "Promise you'll stay with me, both of you, forever, okay?"
The seriousness of his gaze, starry and radiant, made Raegan's heart race, forcing her to nod as if spellbound.
At her nod, Mitchel's chest filled with warmth, a sensation similar to that of his heart wrapped in the soft embrace of cotton candy.
Mitchel then leaned in to kiss her, a slow union of lips that spoke of shared moments and silent promises.
After the kiss, he bit her lip, his voice hoarse.
âRaegan, how do you manage to be so amazing?
Leaning against him, still breathless from his passionate kisses, Raegan murmured, Because you deserve everything good, Mitchel. Really". His kindness towards her made her support for him natural, unwavering.
Once inside, Mitchel's gaze scanned the surroundings, a tone of expectation in his voice. âWhere is Janey?â
"He's at summer camp for a week," Raegan responded.
A shadow passed over Mitchel's face at the news, disappointment flickering in his eyes.
Raegan reflected on the trials Mitchel had faced during the day, including losing time with Janey. Hesitantly, he ventured: "Would you like to rest a little?"
His deep gaze responded to her offer, sending a wave of panic through Raegan.
Hastily, Raegan added, "I mean... Rest might help you feel better, given everything that's happened."
His hands waved in the air as he hurried to clarify, âI didn't mean⦠Not that way, together.â
Mitchel's laugh broke the awkwardness, his response cheerful. âHmm, resting seems like a good idea. "I'll take a shower first."
